Hidden Weapons Reportedly Found in Zuccotti Park Clean Up

Weapons Found in Zuccotti Park

We’ve all heard the accusations of violence and sexual assault in “Occupy Wall Street” encampments. A possible discovery in the Zuccotti Park clean up last week may confirm the capabilities of the movement that many feared. FoxNews.com reports that law enforcement sources say “a number of weapons” were found in the clean up following the NYPD eviction of Occupy Wall Street:

“Gardeners employed by the park owners, Brookfield Properties, to clean up the mess made by occupiers during their two-month stay discovered knives and other potential instruments of violence in flower beds throughout the public space, according to officials.

‘We (NYPD) aren’t taking the weapons, building security is,’ said a high-ranking officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity. ‘Security at the Brookfield building across from Zuccotti. They have all the weapons.’”

NYPD would only confirm that one knife was found buried in a planter on Tuesday, but the haul was believed to be large enough for Brookfield Security workers to collect them in the real estate company’s headquarters across from the park. A spokeswoman for the company declined to comment and it’s not clear what security at Brookfield will do with the weapons.

Gothamist reported last week that when Deputy Mayor Cas Holloway filed a motion on behalf of the city opposing a court order requiring the NYPD to allow Occupy Wall Street demonstrators back into Zuccotti Park, that Holloway asserted in filing the motion that “people who have a known history of violent interaction with the police” have been gathering in the park, and “makeshift items” that he said could be used as weapons, “such as cardboard tubes with metal pipes inside, had been observed among the occupiers’ possessions.”  Holloway also noted that after the October 1st Brooklyn Bridge march, “knives, mace and hypodermic needles were observed discarded on the roadway.”

Fox News reports that the motion also notes that since the protests began in Zuccotti Park on September 17, “approximately 73 misdemeanor and felony complaints and 50 arrests,” have occurred, and a number of repeat and violent offenders were spotted in and around the park.

      Trust your Government. Trust your bank. They won’t go into your gold layaway account and steal all the money in it like they did Gerald Celente. No.

      The bank has ALL of your money, in its own little individual box, and when you get ready to make a withdrawal, a robotic arm goes into your box and gets out some of YOUR money, and spits it out of the ATM. Every single dollar of your money is in the bank.

      And then you woke up and realized there are no reserves, i.e. they never had the gold to deliver to begin with.

      Pretty sure I remember seeing people with assault rifles on there back at tea party rallies not to mention all those individuals open carrying handguns and all the middle aged men with the queer fanny packs probably weighed down by a .45 1911.

      Let’s face it, besides smelling like a toilet and being an inconvenience, OWS was not a threat to anyone. It was just a bunch of young kids who felt betrayed by the older generation that screwed them out of the American dream and got them involved in yet another senseless war.

      And btw, don’t give me that crap about rape or about the handful of aging commies who tried to use the movement for their own agenda. The old homeless insane drug addict rapists and old commies are all part of the same generation that screwed the future generations out of a wealthy future. The fox news was more than happy to give those people all the airtime in their attempt to vilify it.

      The blaze writing a cheap shot story like this is pathetic. I carry a legal length pocket knife with me wherever I go. Does that make me a violent right-wing radical nutjob? Would it be okay for MSNBC to label me as such? Your on a downward slope blaze and I noticed that I have been less inclined to visit as of late. Not to mention your annoying pop-up advertising.

    I’ll take this story with a grain of salt. Truth in Reporting, in later editions, has often shown that EVERY ONE of those great ‘Money/food/certificates for Guns‘ drives you’ve seen in large cities feature a photo of a wide array of guns photographed. Later on, all those uzis and large caliber assault weapons traded in really were in storage from a previous bust. The guns traded either don’t work or are quite old-gifted per a Grandparent to be sold for a $25 WalMart gift card.

    I would hope that someone was smart enough to actually protect themselves against their OWN fellow OWS crowd. I’m waiting for the MAJOR push against gun ownership in this Administration…it’ll follow something bad and then kiss your Bill of RIghts goodbye – courtesy of the ‘new and improved/stacked Supreme Court.

These protestors are fools and can not seem to understand they are only being used by cockroaches like Van Jones, Al Sharpton, the unions and so many more. All part of a grand design to start Obama’s “revolution” of the people. Sound familiar or does Nazi Germany something you never heard about. No matter who the GOP pickes to stand tall for American, George Soros and others are not about to let patriotic America take back our country without a fight. No way. There may well be a revolution so stock up on food and water and keep those guns CLOSE.       Wishful thinking my friend. Most people with too much to loose will look at the ninja swat teams coming to collect the weapons and as much as they would like to do otherwise, they will silently and grudgingly hand them over or they will be slaughtered in front of their families. If you show up at the door with a gun in your hand when they come to collect them, then you will be murdered on your front door step. That’s how the police roll these days.

      There may be one or two out of every ten thousand (at most) that will make the futile gesture and they will be vilified and demonized by the media.

      Just like every other western country that has had it’s guns confiscated, this one will roll over and go silently into the night like every other constitutional right you think you still have.

      not sure that tsg even has it right,as one of those in 10,000 or so,I‘m not so sure that we won’t be fighting our own brothers before long if this continues.I/we can’t stand alone but even some of those who you would think could see things for what they are have been blinded by the propaganda and spin,I cringe when I here someone wish for a revolution,do they know what that will be?how many generations will it take to get back to normal? how many of our kids will die in vain in some cases?will you shoot your neighbor for their bread?will they shoot you for yours? I pray,God please help us,for we have strayed,please help those who will be torn apart in these days of turmoil,and forgive those of us who are trying to do the right thing .

      Evidently not. Security only found knives and pipes, no AK-47s, AR-15s, BMG .50 cals, hand grenades, nor other assorted assault weapons, etc. Besides, I believe Holder’s policy is only to supply narco-terrorist groups that will force an exodus of Central American people north accross the U.S. border into the Democratic welfare ranks. Not to supply assault weapons to American college kids and hippies.

      As for me when they say “And other potential instruments of violence” it is suspect. People have to remember we live in a nation whereby in the event of a car accident a year old empty beer can is found in the trunk of one of the vehicles involved, the report will show alcohol was involved.       I only say this because the night before John Lennon was shot, I was knifed.
      I have a ten inch scar on my left arm that required 150 stitches to close.
      And a puncture near my right kidney. I know what damage a knife can do. Don’t take it lightly that sharp objects were found at the OWS site. They were there for one purpose. They were there for us.

    Thank goodness mr Wallace’s church will take them in so they have a safe place to store their weapons. One dumb reporter said that the hyperdrive needles were there because there was a medical tent set up, & we know DR’s just leave needles lying around all over the place, like when you go to the hospital or clinic & you trip all over hyperdeic needles. Oh well, it was a lib television show.

    Just remember this you OWS morons..not one Tea Party person has been arrested for anything, and there has never been a trail of degenerate paraphernalia left behind such as weapons, evidence of drugs. There has never been an incident of violence from a Tea Party event, and there have been no defication’s, masturbation’s, or urination’s in public!
