Fox’s Bret Baier Hits Back: ‘No Examples of a Host Saying the President Is a Muslim’

On Monday night, Fox News anchor Bret Baier took a moment to set the record straight.

In response to President Obama’s claim, as reported in David Corn’s new book, that he is losing American males because “fed by Fox News, they hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7, and it begins to sink in,” Baier responded, “For the record, we found no examples of a host saying President Obama is a Muslim.”

David Corn’s book is called “Showdown: The Inside Story of How Obama Fought Back Against Boehner, Cantor, and the Tea Party.”  In it, he “[takes] the reader into the Oval Office and the back rooms on Capitol Hill for a fast-paced and gripping account of the major events as they unfolded.”

Politico reports that Corn‘s book will follow key moments of Obama’s presidency, like the assassination of Osama bin Laden, the Arab Spring, and the debt ceiling debate.

Regarding the economy, Corn reports that Obama said, “I saved these guys when the economy was falling off a cliff…Now I get nothing but their venom.”

    I believe you can probably find more truth in him being a muslim, than all of his actions that makes him appear to be anti-American! Also, there are whole websites that points to a much bigger misrepresentations of his accomplishments and the fact that he continually takes credit for what others have done!

      Mel, check out the Blaze story of his daughter going on vacation. It shows Obama and his family going to Sunday service — i.e., in a Christian church. He wasn’t going to a mosque!

      The only one on tv that’s called Obama a Muslim is Obama himself. Remember when he slipped and and said people question his Muslim Faith? And the person doing the interview had to correct him, when was the last time someone that is Christian said by accident they were of Muslim faith?

      Bret, there is NO evidence of anyone at Fox covering the Sheriff Joe Arpaio Press Conference either. There is NO evidence of you presenting evidence that Obama has been flaunting a forged birth certificate, or a fraudulent Selective Service card, or a fraudulent SS# either. NO EVIDENCE!       Dave — going to church does not make one a Christian. His/her actions are moot. It’s the relationship one has w/the Lord Jesus that makes him/her Christian. The more mature Christians live a life that reflects the love of Jesus for all humanity. However, unlike islam, Christianity requires NO works for salvation. Instead, works are a mere byproduct of the saving relationship. In islam, one has to earn his seat in paradise. In the Jewish world, works show God how much you love Him and that you take fidelity seriously, but ultimately, entry to heaven is based on God’s grace and your connection to Abraham.

      I don’t care if Obama believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster… His policies are still killing this country. Don‘t believe the dialogue of stock market’s index. It is up due to inflation… Realize that the the value of the market is currently worth 8 oz of gold.

      The last time this was so (before 2008) was back in 1980. Inflation is set to spiral out of control, and the administration knows it. That is why the Department of Energy are backtracking on the price of gas. It will only hurt the poor. I heard some economists talk about how the rise in gas will not hurt the average American because technology has allowed for telecommute… Well, what about store clerks, janitors, food service, tourism… Only those in corporate America or certain industries will benefit from telecommute. However, this is not the case for all the small businesses or industries that depend on people coming in. How many people will eat in the city for lunch when they telecommute? How about waiting staff that have to drive to work?

      The rising gas prices will only hurt the poor. Like alcohol taxes, cigarette taxes, the lottery; they are all taxes that target the poor. The issue is government is grossly overspending due to it’s over extension of power that it was never meant to have. Sure some people may not get healthcare, but if they work hard they could. Sure, not everyone will get to retire, but you save enough and you could.

      If you really look at it, the problem is that there are many who do not contribute to society by being productive, thus inflation is constant. Unless people work for what they get, the model of supply and demand will remain broken and their will always be poor. The only way to lower prices is to have more stuff… Thus the entitled must become productive. We can’t force them physically, save cut the entitlements. This will spawn the survival instinct and they will need to produce and work for it.

      I used to think Fox was “Fair and Balanced”. But, there are too many things they won‘t talk about that makes me believe they’re like everyone else … afraid. Why are they not reporting all the abuse and shenanigans that has been going on at polling places around the country concerning Ron Paul? Ron Paul actually stood a pretty good chance of being in the running if the establishment Republicans (or should I say, Rinos?) would have allowed it. While I do not agree with everything Ron Paul has said, especially on foreign policy, he’s the best person running and the one with the most sense. Romney and Santorum are just another Bush. Gingrich changes his stance with the direction of the wind. Paul has been consistent throughout the years. Yet Fox has done everything they could to demean him and knock him down. I used to trust and watch the O’Reilly Factor, but as soon as Bill started in on his “Ron cannot win this election” even before it started, I was through with him. Fox is about as worthless now as MSNBC.

      Got a question, since Obama enacted his emergency powers executive orders and has other ones already in place. Is it possible to declare an emergency and thus suspend the future elections process, as we would be dealing with an ‘emergency’ which is now loosley defined???? The powers he would have are omnious and could even be used for sinister intentions like NWO and such beautiful thooughts. All these regulations (alot unknown about) and special laws must have a purpose and especially since being enacted in fairly short order, why???? If elections could be postphoned, alot of things could transpire under the king rules by executive orders, type program.

      The president said that Fox reported that he was a Mu slim 24/7 and I don’t think Fox ever mentioned it. Guests who have said it maybe correct. Bama does keep track of muzlim holidays said the call to prayer was beautiful. If it walks, smells, and talks like something it maybe true. Lastly Fox does not report him being a muzlim 24/7.

      Fox and Fox’s audience are not responsible for rumors of the president being Muslim. Not that his religion matters, but it is people on the left that keep talking about it, and it is them who keep spreading this fake story. They try to say people on the right are calling him Muslim but it’s really not completely the truth. His religion doesn’t matter, however his lack of following the constitution IS what matters and that is the real problem.

    Brett should know better than to confuse Obama with the truth. If he says it, that makes it true. Even if he was asked to cite one instance of a Fox host or hostess saying he is a Muslim (which he can’t do since it has never happened), he wouldn’t back down. Truth is an obstacle to be overcome and misrepresented.

    George Bush had all three major networks and most of cable news outlets “guests” and some “hosts” calling him everything but Mr. President. He didn’t whine like Obama does.     not to worry though, obama has summoned the officials from a small south florida town to answer for the death of an innocent black teen at the hands of an overly aggressive and racist neighborhood watchman. though the shooter is identified by his father as hispanic, sharpton, the media and protestors insists that this is a black/white issue and will use it to stir race hate and attack the wording of laws related to use of sidearms and CCW permits.

    meanwhile, ten people got wasted and forty wounded over last weekend in the warzone that is chicago. sharpton has no plans to visit chitown and i don’t think rahm is getting called to D.C.

    I kept thinking about that remark-”they call him a muslim 24/7″, and I could not recall anyone on Fox ever saying that. Glad I’m not getting anymore forgetfull. Truth is, I gave Obama every benefit of doubt on that until recently. It took a lot, but I no longer believe he is a Christian-or at least as I know Christianity. I am sure because of where and how he was raised he was influenced by Islam. More than that I believe he is full blown Marxist, and that is scarey. ABO

      What the viewers say is on them, not the network. You may have the guests part right; note that Baier said “no Fox HOST ever said it.“ Not ”no one on Fox.” Hmmm…

      A quick internet search shows that, yes, callers into Fox programs have put forth that Obama was a Muslim and no one disputed the claim. Tacit agreement isn’t quite the same as saying it, of course.

Its silence helps to feed the absurd notion that Obama is somehow a Muslim working to install Muslim ideals here in the US. That’s where all this kooky “Sharia Law” talk comes from.

      Dave I see you have’nt been with the blaze for long glad you can join us however most of us at the blaze come here to speak with like minded people.I have listened to news and politics for years now,I have learned so much that when i try to speak with even my friends it just starts pouring out to the point that it all just explodes into so many directions that even i can’t keep up .Also im aware that at least for the moment we have freedom of religion and yes that includes Islam unfortunately and why do i say unfortunately Dave, because they like stoning people Dave and they like beheading people Dave and ill go one step further Dave if you are an infidel you too have reason to worry ………..

    obama crying about that says an awful lot about how much he’s tried to hide his true feelings about his true childhood faith … it also helps explain his lifelong hatred of the Catholic Church.. it goes back to his indonesia school recs in the Catholic parish that listed him as “religion: islam” — obviously they did not scrub that record as demanded. .
