Frances Fox Piven: Tea Party Wants To ‘Take America Back From Those Dark Skinned, Foreign-Looking People’

Frances Fox Piven has fired another shot across the Tea Party bow in her latest attempt to make the movement look barbarically racist.
Piven, professor of Sociology at City University Of New York, made some startling accusations about her views on race while speaking on a panel in Stony Brook, N.Y. Ms. Piven discussed her views about how detrimental the Tea Party is for race relations in America in rather frank terms.
She began by asking the audience and fellow panelists if anyone had been to a Tea Party rally before.
“Well I have,” Piven announces, continuing, “And you know what they yell? Take It Back! Take It Back! Take It Back!”

The scholar Piven, went on to explain the dark, racist, xenophobic implications of the popular chant:
“And you know what they’er talking about? They’re talking about taking the country back from those dark skinned foreign-looking people who threaten to become a demographic majority.”
Piven goes on to justify her position by saying the states controlled by the “organized Right” are taking away the voting rights of minorities because they don’t want “those newcomers to have the vote.”
Piven has been a longtime, ardent defender of the Occupy and Labor movements.

It is my experience that most liberals think ALL people are evil. That humans are the worst thing that ever happened to the planet. Most of their policies, from environmental to birth control & abortion, are aimed at ridding or controlling the growth of the **** sapien species.
The over arching theme is to ‘thin the herd’.
At times I say, “Who can blame them?” Look at the war, poverty and pollution that is so prevalent.
It is up to us, individually, to be the best we can be.
As we continue to rise up and feed the hungry, clothe the poor, and be peacemakers we will prove them wrong.
Nature abhors a vacuum. If we don’t do it, it gives the naysayers an excuse to have government take control and to force us to do it.
Capitalism is a great thing. Self-rule is ideal. But if we don’t live up to the responsibilities that these ideas require, we will loose them.
Don’t get me wrong, the things she espouses are evil. I’m just saying we are giving them an opening by not being the people we can be.
Glenn is right – We need to restore Honor, Courage and Love. That is the way to combat the evil that is the Progressive movement.

I wish that I could let direct attacks roll off my back and not get me riled up. It would certainly be better for my blood pressure! However, sometimes evil just needs to be defeated and the snakes chased back down their holes, rather than ignored. The silent majority in this country has remained silent for far too long, which has allowed these people to infiltrate our government and institutions of learning. I am trying to find that line between being Christlike and not being attacked and abused.

The doctrines of Christ can seem counterintuitive or unnatural (does that mean against the ‘natural man’?); turn the other cheek, love your enemies, etc., but it is what we must learn to do.
Polarization is a tool of the adversary. It is not the Islamists we are fighting, it is the ideology. Same with Progressivism, Communism, Humanism and every other ‘ism.
If we loose our life, property or what have you, it is better than loosing our soul.
There are examples of ‘righteous violence’ (Nephi comes to mind), but I think it is few and far between.

If the civil war allowed elections to proceed (minus the 11 states the Union was at war with) there is no way the current criminals on the hill could justify suspending the vote in what would ve considered domestic paecetime conditions. If this admin tried to suspend the Nov 6 election for anything short of a comet of asteroid ( the size of Delaware) striking earth then the general populace would likely rise up and revolt in a very short period of time. Suspending the election cannot be done even if the USA was embroiled in a second civil war, IMHO anyway.

1.True the first pilgrims established a society without private property, everyone worked and contributed to their own ability. They refer to it as “the tragedy of the commons”. They almost starved to death and didn’t become a stable society until they established private property and incentivised people to work. They eventually assigned each family a parcel of land and allowed each family to keep what they produced. But they skipped that in your community college class I bet.
2.The enlightenment was a European Idea as well as Colonial. It emphasised Natural Individual Rights that could not be infringed upon by any person or form of Govt, which is not in line with an all powerful Govt that Socialism allows. So how you can claim any rights to the attributes of the Enlightenment as a socialist?
3. As far as conservatives “which is a ridiculous stretch to compare them to todays political party” of that era “that the founders hunted down and killed” to quote you, were from a country with a Monarchy, an all powerful Govt, the modern day equivalent of a Communist or Socialist style of Govt more in line with your beliefs of a strong central Govt.

At least the republicans don’t have as much of a socialist agenda as the current, absolutely horrible administration.
But make no mistake, right, left or middle of the road, all politicians are self-serving s^&m, which is exactly why this country is in the position we are now, because these politicians do what is good to get the party re-elected, not what is good for the country.
This country is all done if this current administration does not get booted out on their azzes come November!
