Franken Mini-Gaffe: Where Is Sen. Udall From?

The custom in the U.S. Senate, according to The Hill, is to let new senators preside over the body as a teaching tool. Evidently Sen. Franken is a slow learner.
Franken suffered another embarrassing moment Wednesday morning when he mistakenly recognized Sen. Tom Udall as the “senator from Utah.”
The Hill points out this was not Franken’s worst moment:
The exchange was less awkward than the kerfuffle Franken sparked last month while presiding over the Senate.
Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) scolded Franken on the floor for allegedly mocking him.
Republican aides said Franken gesticulated and made faces from the chair while McConnell delivered a speech on then-Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan.
Franken later sent a handwritten note to McConnell apologizing for the incident.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 12:29pmCan someone explain to me how a group of really crappy (as in unfunny to the point of inanity) comedians like Franken, Garofalo, Maher, and O’Donnell have been raised to the level of political analysts and, in Franken’s case, even voted in as a US Senator. Who deigned that these failures had any political know-how AND deserved to be given a microphone? At least Behar was a little funny once upon a time and Stewart is still funny, but this other group couldn’t be funny if they were reading aloud from a joke book. Here‘s a great example of O’Donnell’s humor, “Golf is old men in ugly pants, walking”. Is that a side-splitter or what?!? Somebody please keep these losers away from the microphone.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 12:12pmThis is what happens when you use fraud to elect a Senator. Franken is a not too funny commedian, and now is a real joke of a Senator. Maybe the Democrats can find him some brains to go with those votes they found in the trunks of cars.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 11:49amMost of the people in our government in DC think that once you get west of the Mississippi River, nothing matters anymore. They just think of it as a lawless, resource rich, wasteland with a bunch of gun totin’ troublemakers inhabiting it. Except for California, of course, which they patronize for the Democrat votes while secretly laughing at them for being so weird.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 11:28amHow many recounts did it take to get Franken in office?
Report Post »Just keep counting and recounting the votes, new and old till you come up with the number you like.
We should all have recounts of our own at tax time!

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 8:18amInteresting that the left think Christine O’Donnell is unqualified for the Senate but Al (equally inexperienced) is fine.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 8:03amFranken, MINI-GAFFE, that’s because Al is the MINI-ME of the Senate. Smaller than all others…..in so many ways.
It‘s not really Al’s fault, you know………it‘s just the penis envy has become ’ all consuming ‘, as of late.
You poor, poor little man………just keep taking those baby steps…….and you’ll eventually get there………or not.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 5:35amfrankin is like a little kid who gets to be king for a day. Everyone knows he is an idiot but, its his turn today. We know he will always say something stupid but just let him go… he will eventually go away, that is as soon as a few more people with brains enter his state. A toad indeed, maybe a bridge troll.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 12:57amI can‘t stand Franken but I’m not going bust his stones about this one. Just wait till all these new “inexperienced” senators and reps. win in Nov. I’m sure they will be excoriated by the left when they make the same mistakes. I bet they won’t be caught sleeping.
