I can‘t believe they’ve got all the students from the “Charlie Rangel School of Finance” dictating to BP, who should get BP’s money. Why is Waters even on this panel, she’s under ethics investigation with her mentor Rangel WTH? Headlines should read “CHICAGO STYLE POLITICS TO DETERMINE BP PAYOUTS” Yeah, I know, they’re not from Chicago, but, it’s SOS, you know what I mean!

Obama appointed Feinberg as “Pay Czar” in 2009, the press reported that he would perform his duties pro bono. Lame-stream media stories confirmed that Feinberg, founder and managing partner of the Washington, D.C., firm Feinberg, Rozen, LLP, would not receive a salary for setting pay limits for dozens of executives at companies receiving government bailouts. Judicial Watch recently obtained documents from the Treasury Department indicating that Feinberg received a $120,830 annual salary.

Folks we have yet another reason why all Obama’s czars should go through the Senate confirmation process rather than being allowed to circumvent the legislative branch of the government. Can you say “Totalitarian”?

Totalitarianism is a political system where the state, usually under the control of a single political person, faction, or class, recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible.[2] Totalitarianism is generally characterized by the coincidence of authoritarianism (where ordinary citizens have no significant share in state decision-making) and ideology (a pervasive scheme of values promulgated by institutional means to direct most if not all aspects of public and private life. This defines Obama’s fundamental transformation.

Of course, the people the left is trying to BUY wouldn’t pay taxes or have any idea how to run a business. They are good, however, at getting “free” money handouts. Fabulous, just fabulous.

I believe ALL States where fish (or shellfish) are sold require documentation of the catch (Fish Tickets) by the Fishers landing or delivering the catch. Most, if not, all states have computerized these landings. Seem’s this would be a valid source document…..

I know some who graduated high school and still can’t read or write. I also know some “honest” fishermen who worked for BP running their boats up and down the coast looking for oil spill and I was told it was a tiresome job and they would much rather have been fishing; like they had been for the past 30+ years.

Unless you are keeping all you earnings stuffed in your mattress and dealing with your vendors and suppliers in all cash, there is always a paper trail of your income. If your business deals in cash only, you have no records of actually running a business, and you don’t have IRS documents to show you paid taxes, you aren’t legally running a business anyway! Even if you are just starting a business that has been effected by the spill, you have got to have records. If you don’t know how to document your finances, you have no business being in business.

Speaking of reciepts and financial records, I’d like to request all the reciepts from the spending of the stimulus packages. Surely the Government isn‘t just handing out aid to companies that can’t prove thier financial stability, or may be less than truthful in how they propose using Gov’t aid money……

Dangles and Windmill are taking the day off. They were out late last night with Ken Feinburg. He was doing the sloooooooow talk for small people lecture series. Maxine was in the lobby selling sticky notes to write proof of income on and Jackson-Lee was running the rent a witness program in the parking lot. Allot for ole Dangles and Windmill to take in? At least Feinburg spoke slow enough for them but they did not make it home until 4 this morning because the 1 hour lecture went a little over. They both came away with a renewed spirt that a new income stream is on the horizon by the illiterate village.

By the way the BP superfund paid for Dangles and Windmill to attend. It was a $3000 a seat lecture that doubled as a democrat party fundraiser to help the legal fund of Rangell and Waters fight these unfounded charges.

You have to be kidding me. No type of documentation needed to show that you have lost money, including IRS records showing that you paid taxes in income? Just bring in someone who can “vouch” that you have and that’s enough? I think that I will get a buddy to vouch that I was intending to move to Louisiana to start a fishing business that would have made $500,000 a year and file a claim to get compensated for the money I lost. Notice that Maxine Waters was pushing for no type of documentation too. Talk about a den of thieves.

If you don’t have records, How do you file taxes? Are they saying we don’t need these worthless documents??? Why do we always see the same characters in these scenarios, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, etc. These are the same ones pushed for mortgages for those who didn’t have any job, IRS filings, no source of income, no identification showing they are citizens, etc. And of course, the lines will be long and the checks quick. I agree there should be some compassion for those who have been victims of this event, but maybe a little more investigation on those who are making claims would be common sense. I mean if a guy who lived in Kansas makes a claim he has lost income for not being able to fish, might send up some red flags and warrant a little more in depth checking. In the meantime the shister lawyer could pay off the poor guys mortgage while he waits. (sic)

Devils advocate…What about the very poor/poverty that NEEDS the fish and more in the gulf to live. That need the fish to make their evening meals? They will need help also and they don’t have receipts. I realize we can‘t just go by everyone’s word and throw cash everywhere…but those people matter also and need help just as bad as the ones with receipts. There has to be a way to be fair…yes? My pastor would vouch for me, and I would want the government to listen.

Look, Alice, everyone can always bring up the rhetorical stories designed to only draw compassion. Compassion is a good thing, we should have it. But, what side should compassion be on? Early reports were saying that the ecological damage could last “decades” (thank you WaPo). There are recent reports saying that the damage to the gulf is much less than what was originally expected. People are still fishing, people are still harvesting. There has been very little evidence found of any oil getting into sea-life yet. So do we need to be compassionate toward the fisherman? There are economists who say that the biggest cause of lower production of gulf-area fisheries is actually due to economics and not the oil.

Should we be compassionate to all the families who were out of work after Obama’s drilling moratorium – even as he sided with Brazil and helped fund their off shore drilling operations?

Maybe we should actually be compassionate for everyone else who may have to eat shrimp that was imported from somewhere else (80-85% of US consumed shrimp)?

My point is this: it’s really easy to say an example of one person, or to say “all these people are being harmed and they need to be compensated” and then want to take the easy way out – throwing money at the problem. Everyone can do that, for every issue (Obama’s whole campaign was based on this). But, in the oils spill, there are many other reasons that fisheries in the gulf are being hurt and most of them have to do with Washington.

Here’s a big problem MANY fishermen were hired by BP to help CLEAN the coast.. THEY did NOT LOSE money.. FACT they made MORE than they normally would in LESS time and did LESS work.. FACT they would like to CONTINUE working for BP as they said they had a STEADY paycheck with BP without having to pay anyone else.. Now they should get money for not fishing TOO?? BTW WHO is allowed to work and NOT PAY TAXES?? a kid with a lemon aide stand gets hassled by the IRS every once in a while.. if you BABYSIT your suppose to pay taxes.. THEY HAVE tax form or they don’t get any money.. EVEN the self employed have to pay into SS.. so if your a fisherman and have not been paying taxes FIND OUT what they SAY they make and get them for back taxes.. even people who work for min wage pay taxes..this is a fleecing of a company that hires and pays THOUSANDS of AMERICAN’S to work.. and our government is trying to screw them and let people who don’t pay taxes come up with their own dollar amounts.. ;What kind of scam is OBAMA RUNNING??
