If I can’t have it, no one will. That’s the sentiment embraced my Col. Muammar Gaddafi as he vows to “blow up Tripoli” and all other cities his troops cannot hold as they battle rebel forces.
The Telegraph reports that Libya‘s prime minister has revealed Gaddafi’s sinister plan:
Mikhail Margelov, the Kremlin’s special representative for Africa, said Libya’s prime minister Baghdadi al-Mahmudi had revealed the plan. “The Libyan premier told me: if the rebels seize the city, we will cover it with missiles and blow it up,” said Mr Margelov who was in Libya last month for talks with both the government and the rebels.
“I imagine that the Gaddafi regime does have such a suicidal plan,” he added.
According to The Telegraph, a top Nato commander in Libya, Lt Gen Charles Bouchard, said Gaddafi’s regime had ordered his troops to destroy infrastructure and facilities as they retreated. He told The Telegraph: “I can report that the Gaddafi regime has given direction to its forces to destroy certain facilities as they withdraw back, such as fuel refineries and other aspects.”
Some troops, however, are reportedly resentful of being ordered to destroy their own homeland and might not obey orders.
Western officials reportedly believe the embattled Gaddafi is resorting to desperate measures in the wake of rebel forces’ advances on the capital.
Even the Kremlin has allegedly supported calls for Gaddafi’s departure. The Telegraph reports Margelov said the Kremlin hoped that “pragmatic parts” of the regime would drive Gaddafi out and that the “situation” could be “solved without the colonel.”
The Telegraph also reports about steps taken by Libya’s prime minister:
Mr Mahmudi, the prime minister, tore up Italy’s huge oil concessions in Libya and said that ENI, the Italian operator that has invested £25 billion in the country, was “finished”. The announcement is the first wholesale retaliation by the regime against countries that are involved in the Nato-led bombing campaign.
Is Gaddafi mad enough to blow up Tripoli and any other city he cannot capture? What say you?

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 9:36pmI still remember back in the 80′s when this nut formally “declared war” on the US. One B-1 bomber mission later which killed a couple family members (they were aiming for him), he capitulated within 24 hrs.. Then, not to mention the whole Lockerbie terrorist bombing, and the subsequent release of the man who helped masterplan the event,,, and his heroes welcome back in Libya. I think some payback is at least in order for that alone. Bottom line is, this dude we have known for a very long time that he is absolutely, certifiably nuts. The sooner he is out of power, better for all concerned. My only concern is, our history when it comes to this type of thing. With what I had stated, he had since come around and renounced radical Islam, etc., etc… the question now is. Are we ultimately going to end up with a new government there that is hostile to the West? We’ll see, we’ll see…

Posted on July 16, 2011 at 2:14amThe next Government in Libya will be more violent towards the US than the current Qaddafi regime. Since the rebels have a loose coalition of many groups there will be one that will take over after the fighting is over. The MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD and then the control of North Africa will be nearly complete and they can then close down the Mediterranean shipping at the Strait of Gibraltar. Then the US Navy will have trouble with both ends of the Med controlled by the Brotherhood they would then be able to keep us out of the Med and then the Russians could have free reign and then control EU from there.

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 8:25pmThat photo reminds me of the saying “What‘s the last thing to pass through a bug’s mind as it hits the windshield?” I have no sympathy for this criminal! But, I do fear for his people! May God bless them and help them find their way! And may they have the resolve to act as an independent people and not become enslaved to the Imam du jour! Surely, some courageous founders will rise up and, for the second time in World history, develop a constitutional republic, like ours! (Not likely! Not without a lot of nudging!)

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 4:19pmQaddafi’s threat should be taken seriously since his government is fighting rebels who want to oust him. The threat from Qaddafi is not unique as many a government has taken drastic actions against rebels hell bent on taking down the government.
Report Post »The media portrays Qaddafi as some demonic monster and I agree. But as in Egypt these rebels are no saints for once Qaddafi is ousted Libya will fall like ripened fruit into the hands of a theocracy with a broader aim for a regional Caliphate.

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 8:20pmI’d like to know why 80,000 Chinese had to be evacuated, while only 1,000 Americans had to be–AND WHO IS HELPING THE EUROPEANS ? Once Quadaffy goes, I‘d hope that WE might have some plan to steer the country in ’the right’ direction! If we don’t then we should have let the chips fall where they may! One cannot bestow freedom on a people–if they aren’t willing to fight for it, an outsider cannot go in and give it to them! Sadly, these post-colonial fiefdoms are easy prey for the great caliphate plan of the Muslim Brotherhood! And, things will probably get much worse before they get better!

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 2:46pmI recommend that he blows up the Kaaba too. That would be doing everyone a favor! Without Islam in this world we‘d be able to go on to much better things because we wouldn’t have to worry about the frenzied idiots blowing us up to kill others everywhere they go.
When is the world going to stop aiding and abetting these suicidal and homicidal mass murderers?

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 4:51amSo all of this comes down to “I will kill my own people. I will destroy Tripoli. I will destroy our culture.” the rantings of a domestic abuser or a juvenile who holds his breath and pouts until he can take his hand and wipe out the tower of blocks or destroy the paint set so no one else can play with them if he can’t.
Very very small man inside that head.
