Estimates of Gadhafi’s $200 Billion Wealth Would Have Made Him the Richest Person in the World

The Libyan tyrant Moammar Gadhafi was thought to have hoarded billions in assets from his people but new estimates show more hidden treasures than once thought. These discoveries make Gadhafi one of the world’s wealthiest leaders, and possibly the wealthiest person in the world. The Los Angeles Times on the staggering discovery:
“(Gadhafi) secretly salted away more than $200 billion in bank accounts, real estate and corporate investments around the world before he was killed, about $30,000 for every Libyan citizen and double the amount that Western governments previously had suspected, according to senior Libyan officials.
The new estimates of the deposed dictator’s hidden cash, gold reserves and investments are ‘staggering,’ one person who has studied detailed records of the asset search said Friday.”
If the $200 billion estimate is true, Gadhafi would have been at his death the wealthiest person in the world, more than doubling Carlos Slim’s total net worth of $74 Billion, who was deemed the richest man in the world by Forbes Magazine in 2011.
U.S. and European authorities said Friday that they intended to quickly hand over Gadhafi’s frozen assets to the transitional Libyan government and the Libyan people, a third of which live in poverty.

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 6:07amAnd before the lunatic fringe leftist nutjobs come on here and bemoan the Libyan moron for raping the earth of non sustainable resources (in other words a finite amount known as PEAK oil), crude oil is abiotic, not a fossil fuel. Coal is a fossil fuel, shale in the long term is not a sustainable energy source, but good old planet earth produces the crude that we drill, and it’s a process that will continue as long as the engine under the plates (lithosphere) drives continental drift (aka plate tectonics). As long as the ocean floor converges, subducts, and diverges, abiotic crude will be produced.
Man does not have the power to out produce the earth.

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 7:31amMaybe the entire point of the world killing him was to remove his wealth from him. Maybe he did not want to play the NEW WORLD ORDER game. Maybe this is why he had to go. And the head of Syria…is he in the same boat. The former ruler of Egypt was also very wealthy. I think they are trying to destroy all major wealth holders (like here in the US) that don’t want to play the game. Time will tell.

He also wanted to “unite” the States of Africa, and put them on a gold standard.
The big boys don‘t like it when you don’t get into debt with the IMF, so they can give you loan shark loans with outrageous interest, and eventually take over your infrastructure when you can’t pay.
He had ZERO debt.
He’d Nationalized his oil revenue to go back into his infrastructure, and directly back to the people.
Gas was supposedly 14 cents a liter. Utilities were paid by the sate.
If you wanted a car, the state would pay 1/2 of it.
If you got married you got 50k toward your first house.
If you wanted to go to school, it was paid for whether at home or abroad.
He vowed that his own parents would stay in a tent, until all Libyans were housed.
He set up a republic of the different tribes there, that each negotiated their own issues.
I say “supposedly,” because I obviously didn’t live there, but I have put a few hours of research into this guy.

This would align him with the Rothschild family. Their desire is to have the world return to the gold standard as well. If what you’re saying is true, it further convinces me that the Globalists like Soros, Rockefeller, Obama (et al others) will destroy any alternative to the Marxist technocracy they are erecting based on carbon currency/credit backing all economies. That will give me something to explore. Thanks for that thought!

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 2:41amThe Rothschilds have him smoked completely :) Some estimates say back in 1850 they were worth $6 billion, with inflation alone that’s over a trillion today by a lot. Other rumors back in the mid 19th century had it they were worth much more than that, but we can deal with the 6 Bill as an example. Of course publicly it’s said the family is only worth a billion or two these days, which to me is horsecrap as that would mean they miraculously lost 95%+ of their wealth while simultaneously retaining majority ownership of DeBeers (and many many more companies, but it just takes one name to make this point and DeBeers does that perfectly).
Course 200 Bill is an amazing amount of money but, I’d rather go with the family who cornered the market on the printing of money and the creation of central banking.

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 5:11amLOL. Their estimated wealth is is more than 10 TRILLION dollars. Some people who do fuzzy math estimate it as much as 200 trillion, which seems preposterous. If they employed 1000 investors “48” hours a day 7 days a week it would never be enough to manage 50 trillion, much less 200 trillion.
Possible? I guess so. Realistic? No, not really. I started running a program to follow their wealth and it got so convoluted after a year that showed 7.25 trillion.
Does it really matter when we’re talking about numbers that are impossible to imagine, even for multi-millionaires?

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 5:47amWhen we talk Rothschilds fortunes we talk diamonds, and gold, and “black gold” (with no respect given property to the tune of 50,000 sq miles in Canada alone. The largest land deal in Canadian history).
Something that I find interesting in talking about this family is that they hold about 5 – 8% of the entire volume of produced gold in the world. That makes them the majority shareholder. That amount happens to be greater than all the banks on earth, including the FED, as well as private ownership. I have some physical gold that will keep my family and I fed for a really long time, but it amounts to the dust that the Rothschilds shake off their shoes after climbing their gold throne room in a chamber under the House of Rothschild in Frankfurt.
I DO get the impression though that other major players are running a ponzi scheme not only on us, but on them as well. The move to eliminate fiat cash and rather than backing it with gold, are erecting a world economy based on carbon currency/credits.

Actually I don’t “parrot the paty line.” That would be shallow wouldn’t it? Actually my beliefs began being raised in a Christian family, and then those ideas met the real world as a teenager. In college, as I’m sure your did, I took classes in ethics and philosophy, where young, impressionable minds are asked to look not only at “what” is ethical or not ethical, but “why” those things are ethical or not. And in that period my ideas about ethics congealed and was then set.
Sorry Billy. Some people who want to help the poor actually believe the poor deserve a break, and not just because Rush Limbaugh is against it.

I believe some poor people just need a bit of a break to get their life going, but the majority of poor in the US are poor because of their own “poor” choices and lack of vision. If they want to change their lives, they need to make the changes. Handouts don’t help them become self sufficient. It is a fact. Look at the statistics of people who go on welfare. How many actually get off of it? What percentage passes the disease on to their children, who they have to get more handouts? I think the welfare system should include actually training and work for money initiatives, and in some cases a bus ticket to move them out of crappy neighborhoods they may have been born in to break the cycle. They need to teach them to fish….
