Gaga for Barney’s: Lady Gaga Designs Outragous Holiday Store Windows for Fashionable NYC Department Store

Each holiday season, department stores try to lure customers with festive storefront displays. In New York, however, the art form of holiday window dressing takes on a whole new meaning — with some of the city’s most exclusive retailers vying for the best and brightest designers to create the most outrageous, imaginative displays.
This year, high-end fashion retailer Barney’s is thinking outside the box, hiring shock-diva and recording artist Lady Gaga to design its new holiday-themed store windows. The results are, as you will see in the following CBS report, unusual to say the least. One display, titled “Gaga’s Boudoir” is made entirely of wigs.
Take a look below:
While the artistry and creativity of such displays may not be in question, the real question is: Do such outrageous displays really draw in paying customers?

You’ve got tour support personnel – that’s technical sound and light riggers, manufacturers, operators, as well as catering services, things like that. Arena and concert hall clean up crews and ticket takers, merch vendors, parking lot crews, etc. as well as local tax revenues where the tour rolls through. I‘m sure there are more things I’ve overlooked.

In fact, I would make sure to steer clear, no matter what. I have no idea if there‘s a Barney’s out here in AZ, but if there is, I wouldn’t go near it now or in the future. Let the freak of nature misfits that follow that insane woman around, support the stores choice of advertisement. Like they could afford Barney’s. I decided a while back that I would no longer spend my money at stores that debase Christmas any further than it already is–refer to as ‘holidays’ and not say the word Christmas or mocking it and absolutely use that disgusting cretin to ‘lure’ in customers. The list gets shorter each year of where I’ll do business, but I believe that’s most likely a good thing.
