Gang Charged Under Former Lynching Law in Teen’s Beating (WARNING: Graphic Images)

Columbia, S.C. (The Daily Mail) — Four members of a teenage gang have been charged under a state’s lynching law after allegedly beating an 18-year-old student so badly he required facial reconstruction surgery.
South Carolina prosecutors have charged the boys with second-degree assault and battery by mob, a crime which until last year was known as lynching.
The eight members of the gang, the youngest of whom is just 13, allegedly set upon Carter Strange in a parking lot as he jogged back to his home in Columbia.
They allegedly turned themselves in after surveillance footage of the gang roaming the streets in the area was released on local television.
The savage attack left Carter so badly injured his mother, Vicki, almost didn’t recognise him when she saw him lying on his hospital bed.
She said: ‘I literally bent over him; I recognised his hand and his hair, and I said “that’s my son”.’
He was left with a broken nose and a broken eye socket, and doctors had to operate to remove a blood clot.
Mrs Strange arrived in court on Friday with her husband, John, to watch as the eldest of the gang, 19-year-old Thyeem Henrey, was charged with second-degree assault and battery by mob, common law robbery, and criminal conspiracy.
A 14-year-old, 15-year-old, and 16-year-old appeared in juvenile court to be charged with strong arm robbery, second-degree assault and battery by a mob, and criminal conspiracy.

A 13-year-old and three other 16-year-olds were charged with criminal conspiracy. They are all too young to be named.
The brutal beating happened last Sunday, when Carter, described as a ‘sweet and quiet’ boy, was jogging back home from a friend’s house.
Mrs Strange said she called him just after midnight, his curfew time.
She told Channel 10: ‘At 12:07 he wasn’t home, I called him and said “Carter where are you?”
‘He said “Momma, I’m almost home. I’ll be there in just a minute.” At 12:15 I called, but the phone was dead.’
The gang had allegedly been roaming around the area for most of the evening, and police said they had already tried – and failed – to rob four other people.
When they saw Carter, they allegedly ran towards him, savagely assaulted him and stole his cell phone.

Police Chief Randy Scott said: ‘This teenager was minding his own business, trying to make his curfew when he was brutally attacked and robbed.’
Henrey broke down in court as Carter’s parents vented their anger.
Mrs Strange said: ‘Since Carter didn’t fight against them eight Sunday, I’m going to fight for him now. I’m going to fight for him until my last breath.’
Her husband said: ‘I pray that you get your life right. Find God. If you pray for forgiveness, he will forgive you. I don’t have that in my heart right now. Maybe one day, but not today.’
Mrs Strange told Channel 10: ‘We got lucky he didn’t die. Next person won’t be lucky. If they did this now, what’s to stop them from doing it again?’
Henrey remains in custody. His bond was set at $750,000.

And contrary to popular belief, most of their crimes are committed against other blacks, making them easy enough to ignore for most of white America, absent headline-grabbing cases like this. Some black kid probably got beaten just as bad yesterday, but we will never see the headline. It happens all the time. Leftists don’t care. They’ll go to bat for the attacker, but not the victim.
This is not an intrinsic aspect of race. Prior to collectively changing their party affillation from Republican to Democrat in the 60′s–despite the fact that virtually all opposition to the Civil Rights Act came from Democrats–African American communities were as quiet, law-abiding, church-going, and filled with two parent homes as any others in the nation.
What we are seeing today is the predictable result of half a century of deliberately cultivating rage and resentment in the black community, coupled with the cultural failures that have attended the dependence on the government that leftists have done so much to bring about. If you simultaneously tell people they cannot manage their own affairs, and that it is someone elses’ fault, you have damaged them in many cases beyond repair. They will never be productive, self reliant citizens.

The Southern Democrats of the 1960‘s migrated to the Republican Party during the 70’s and 80′s (in response to the uber-liberal hippies followed with the rise of Reagan) and now largely constitute the Religious Right and some elements of the Tea Party.
While it is true to say that Jim Crow and the institutionalized racism of that epoch was largely the work of the Democrats, it wasn’t the same Democratic Party of today. George Wallace was, and still is, hated by liberals.
All that aside, LBJ’s “The Great Society” and the damage it has done to minorities can be blamed and traced to the dogmas of today’s political left and the Democrats. Which is, in and of itself, also Jim Crow-esque and racist.
But it is also worth noting that Blacks never really started voting in elections until the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (the real reason why Southern Democrats fled to the Republican Party), which was supported and passed by Progressive and Liberal Democrats. Thus, their 50 year loyalty. That was the cause of the fissure. And its very dishonest of you to try and blame the left for the sins of the right when it comes to race relations. Know your history!
The white christian lynch mobs of the early to mid 20th Century, who murdered black men just for looking at a white woman and also killed freedom-riders, are the political ancestors of today’s Far Right not the Democrats.

Please keep in mind that the Republican Party was founded SPECIFICALLY to oppose slavery, and that the people who passed the laws that now enable things like Roe v. Wade and Brown v. Board of Education were radical abolitionists. There is no such history in the Democrat Party.
On the contrary, what we see is the same use of divisive rhetoric, and intentional deception to win power for people who do not understand and could care less about black people in this country. Please locate for me a more desperate place than Detroit; or one which has for more decades elected solely Democrats.
Martin Luther King, Jr’s dream was to get a spot at the starting gate equal to that of white people. He didn’t ask for a ten yard headstart. He just wanted his people to be judged by the content of their characters That was then–and remains–a noble, dignified sentiment.
Who made immediate political use of the King assassination? Jesse Jackson. He was there.

Many on the right like to forget and ignore that fact.
Everything else you said I am in total agreement with. I hope you caught my point on which party actually ratified and passed the Voting Rights Act. That explains alot.
If a race of people (race being judged by mere skin pigmentation); who had been slaves, second-class citizens for generations and whose entire ancestrial history has been destroyed, bought and sold by American tyranny, and is granted the right to vote only 50 years ago and by a political party that still resembles what it was then (not unintentionally); then I’m sure, you can understand the deep-seated loyalty the Black Community has to the Democratic Party.
And that’s my point. The Southern Democrats became Republicans in 1965 and have been lurking in the shadows ever since with their defeat, hatred, racism and, if i may say, religion.
The Democrats fair better but not by much. You’ve already expressed their short-comings and I agree.

Abortion and health foods for fat kids are not good examples of modern day facsism. The idea of a nation belonging only to one religion, one political pursuasion and one group of “true” patriots who must defend it from all “outsiders” and usurpers is the textbook definition a facsism. Which, if you listen to any GOP candidate currently running for pres in ‘12 sounds exactly like their platform. Listen even closer to the unscripted online supporters of these candidates and you’ll hear the real scary stuff: calls for mass deportations, violence, passing laws outlawing a certain religion, demanding Loyalty Oaths, etc…
The Obama administration is a failure, don’t get me wrong, but the gathering cloud of doom, hatred and conspiracy forming on the Right in opposition to it is even more distressing and worrisome than single-payer socialized medicine and carbon footprint reduction plans.

If you actually read my post, I said I would NOT convict someone (I didn’t specify white or black) for defending themselves or their families. I specifically said someone who was minding their own business, but was accosted by these animals. It’s not so much about color as it is the right of law abiding people to defend themselves.
You tell me big guy…say you are out late with your girlfriend and 5 young thugs approach you. You have a choice, you can be killed or take the beating of your life, and possibly watch your girl be raped in front of you, or you can pull your weapon and give these animals a taste of lead. What would you do? If your post was as Freudian (‘coward’ 4x?) as I think it is, you would take the beating and watch it all happen.
My post was really a comment on the PC state of this country right now, where blacks are not prosecuted at the same rate as whites, even tough they commit many times, per capita, the number of crimes. But you can bet your @ss that a white defending himself against a mob of the animals would be prosecuted by most DAs. I guess it is my way of standing up against this clear injustice, something you cannot seem to grasp.
You seem to see racism where there are only open eyes. I’ve got as much respect for a good black man as I do a white man. Maybe the truth is racist to you. Either way, you sound like a candy@ass with his head in the sand. And I dare because I’ve been around the world in the service of this country.

Posted on June 26, 2011 at 7:05pmHere’s a developing situation that is interesting: After years of preventing expressed condemnation of anything racial, unless whites are the perpetrators, most newspaper forums online are relaxing that restriction. As a result I’ve seen more white rage expressed this last couple of years than at anytime in recent times.
Out of curiosity I made a cyberspace tour of the newspaper forums the last several weeks in my spare time….. periodically…when I could find the time….and was surprised to see the rage expressed by whites.
It must be that there’s more visible white rage, because of the lesser restrictions, or they’re finally getting fed up with black on white crime….or…with the easy access of the internet which brings local news to a national level, we’re just now able to see what has been there all along.
It’s probably a combination of all things, but one thing is for sure, if that sleeping white giant gets to the point where he wants to fight rather than sleep, this country‘s chances of continuing on without civil upheaval is about the same as a snowball’s chance in hell.

The renowned black economist and author of a nationally syndicated column, Walter Williams wrote an article this past week (included at the bottom) detailing the Black on White crime epidemic currently gripping America. In this article he provided some statistics of lynching’s which have occurred throughout our history. Coincidentally, I’ve been reading Dr. Duke’s book “My Awakening” the past week or two and in the chapter I had just completed he discussed these statistics in great detail. For starters the lynching’s occurred because both White and Black perpetrators were more often than not guilty of a crime worthy of such a punishment. Regardless the liberal and dare I say Marxist Media hold this over our head daily demanding a collective White guilt primarily for the purposes of enacting legislation which they otherwise would not be capable of passing. Chiefly the Civil Rights laws and the innumerable “affirmative action” type programs would not have been possible without the Birmingham church bombing and purportedly the prejudice found in the lynching’s of the past.

Our beloved Media does a great job of concealing it as well. There have literally been tens of thousands of innocent white men, women, and children murdered by Blacks since the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964! Although the statistics can easily be manipulated in order to support one view or the other, the facts are that Blacks make up less than 15% of the population and perpetrate over 50% of the violent crime. Secondly included in all White crimes are people of Hispanic heritage which obviously skews them tremendously and finally my point in the email is to once again point out that Black on White crime is increasingly becoming an epidemic in America.

There’s really no other word other than “evil” to describe the Civil Rights act because that is exactly what it has meant to the White population of America…. EVIL.

Here in California over the weekend I witnessed part of an abduction behind a domestic dispute, across the street from my house. I called the police. After several minutes with no response, I went inside to get a gun to make a confrontation. They were gone. A postal carrier told me she saw the woman forced into the car and driven off. When the police finally showed up the officer told me that had I confronted the man with a gun I would have been arrested. Arrested for stopping a kidnapping. WTF???
Dont forget the man arrested in NY State for firing 4 warning shots when a large group of MS13 was in his front yard wielding machetes and threatening to kill him and his family.
