‘Gay Barbarian Horde’ Glitters Waiting Room of Bachmann Clinic

Gay Barbarian Horde Glitters Waiting Room of Bachmann Clinic

TPM:

A “barbarian horde” of LGBT-rights activists traveled to Marcus Bachmann’s counseling center in Minnesota Thursday, chanted lyrics from a Lady Gaga song, demanded to see Bachmman and when he didn’t show up, glittered the waiting room.

Gay Barbarian Horde Glitters Waiting Room of Bachmann Clinic

The group was led by the same LGBT-rights activist who glittered Newt Gingrich back in May.

Bachmann, of course, has become famous in recent weeks thanks in part to his wife Michele’s presidential campaign and in part because of the Christian counseling center he runs in Minnesota. Bachmann has said he performs so-called gay reparative therapy at the clinic (but only at the request of his patients.)

ColumbusGoHome:

Marcus Bachmann, who conducts “reparative therapy” at the clinic intended to convert homosexuals, has said that gays are “barbarians who need to be disciplined.” The horde requested to speak directly with Bachmann and experience some “discipline” for themselves.

When Marcus was no where to be found, the barbarians glittered the empty waiting room and reception area while chanting, “You can’t pray away the gay — baby, I was born this way!”

Gay Barbarian Horde Glitters Waiting Room of Bachmann Clinic

The action was organized by the same young man who threw glitter on Newt Gingrich, starting a national trend in political protest of anti-LGBT sentiments from political candidates and campaigns.

“Michele and Marcus Bachmann think gay people are barbarians?” asked LGBT activist Nick Espinosa. “I think its clear to everyone who the real barbarians are, based on the Bachmanns’ archaic views on LGBT equality.”

For the record, I’m gay. I find this crap to be utterly stupid. Not only is it vandalism and disturbing the peace and whatever else the law should be able to throw at them, it is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE. These idiots aren’t winning anyone over to their side or making any friends. The average straight person sees this kind of “activism” (it really is barbarism) and thinks “I have nothing in common with these freaks.” So you all know, MOST gay people are NOT LIKE THIS. Most of us do our jobs and quietly go home to our lives and ask nothing but to be free to live our lives without interference from others. These idiots give us all a bad name.

Michele Bachmann, God bless you. Keep doing the great work of putting our country back on track. Michele would make an excellent president and I’d vote for her in a second.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, most media outlets only report on the the activities of that small group of radicals who are trying to make their sexuality a political issue. To me, its akin to the nightly news only depicting black people if they are being cuffed and placed in the back of a patrol car or engaging in some sort of violent activity. The vast majority of black folks are not involved in this sort of behavior, but if your only exposure to people of color was the nightly news, you’d never know it!

I’m have no doubt that the vast majority of men and women in this country view their sexuality as a private matter and do not engage in this sort of boorish behavior. Good to hear from you and God bless!!

I just asked some of the same questions last night while talking with some friends. Why does anyone need to know someone’s sexual orientation? Why do some gays and activists groups like this feel they have to be over-the-top and continue these “look at me” antics!?! Act like a regular American, contribute to society, and live your life the way you want………but never force your lifestyle or beliefs on anyone.

I often wonder why gay individuals are not libertarians. Libertarians do not care what ANYONE does in their private lives – it is NONE of our business. Look at Progressives history when it comes to dealing with homosexuals (it is much like Sanger), how in the world can they support those people? I still have some gay friends who would never do anything like this, but they would also never vote for a conservative/libertarian. I don’t get it, and I hope the Progressives don’t get their way b/c then every homosexual could be in danger.

      ________________________________________________________________________________

….and that is where the PC-ism of our country is causing its demise. Groups like this are confusing equal freedom with equal rights. Equal rights is a false or deceiving right dictated by the government and ultimately “gives” forced rights to groups above others.Ironically groups now have MORE “rights” than other groups. However, Equal FREEDOM gives everybody the RIGHT or FREEDOM to succeed or fail based on their ability. This is ULTIMATE freedom and no group has “forced” rights or gets special treatment.

Good post Rad and appreciate your words of wisdom. In the end we all want to go to work, bring up our families and enjoy the fruit of our labor. Most of us DO NOT want government or radical groups to take that away…

      B_Rad,

As a gay conservative I share in your condemnation of this type of backwards behavior. Personally I feel that the people who act out in this fashion are the type of personalities who feel that their parents didn’t give them enough attention and now they have to constantly get attention from anywhere even if it is negative attention. I know a number of gays and lesbians who live productive, professional, private lives while still enjoying the freedom to be who they are and love who they want.

The reason most gay conservatives don’t “burst out of the closet” is because of what happened at CPAC this year. There are still groups in the conservative community who will never accept gays and lesbians. Conservative gays and lesbians get attacked from all sides and that is something that the liberals have figured out. Progressives give the illusion of acceptance when in reality they are forcing gays and lesbians into a life of childish behaviors and “gay ghettos”.

Imagine how much stronger the concervative movement would be if we just put our differences asside and respected one another for the common goals we have!

B Rad, I can only imagine the quandary you must go through when you see something like this.
I, myself am NOT GAY, and I do not endorse the life style, however, I am not one to judge it either for the simple reason I do not know enough about the why‘s or how’s something like this happens to a person.
I can say that when I see these types of people in the forefront who claim to represent the GAY populous of this country, I think it is deplorable.
Extremist on either side of the issue only want to create problems regarding this issue.
Long story short is the Gay and Lesbian community needs to get people like you and others like you out in front of this issue so that you are properly represented.
That will take a lot of COURAGE, but the benefits will out weigh the problems by 10 fold in my opinion.
Thank you for your first step to correct the image that these radicals put out there.

I agree that if your purpose is to win over the 90% of the population that isn‘t gay this isn’t the way to do it. This is just stupid, childish and just weird. I don’t really care if someone is gay or not. That is between them & God. They have the NOH8 campaign and all the people who are pushing are actually the biggest haters I have ever seen. I am old enough to remember the 1970s where people got along much better then, they do today. Gay & straight people would go out and just dance at discos together. Since then we keep breaking down groups smaller & smaller and this is what is fractionating the US to the point there is a real chance we are going to collapse for good. I would think if a gay person wanted to be accepted by a straight person the first thing they should do is accept the straight person. Deal with each other one-on-one as a person not a member of a group.

To all you asking why the gay community does not have people like B_Rad represent them to offset the “radical” gay community, the answer is they do. Gay people living their lives after having “come out” are representing the gay community in a positive way. They do not flaunt their sexuality. The difference is that you do not recognize them as such. To you they are your normal neighbors and co workers. It really isn’t much different from the Christian right. I do not feel a kinship to them and in most cases am embarassed by the antics of the vocal few, but I look beyond that and see good people simply living their lives and know that the nutjob Christians who need to draw attention to their beliefs are in the minority and that most Christians are embarassed by them as well.

      B-Rad & Iwonderwhy,

Great comments. I’d love to invite you both and any other gay conservatives here to join me and other gay conservatives (specifically for those of us who support, like or love Glenn Beck). LGBTV is an exciting new nationwide project recently launched to commemorate the launch of Glenn Beck’s GBTV for LGBT viewers; hence LGBTV.

LGBTV is not just for LGBT fans of Glenn Beck, but for those who aren’t sure & for those who have been told that Beck is anti-gay.

Since the creation of the 9.12 Project, Glenn has encouraged all Americans to stand together, regardless of our differences, just as we did on September 12, 2001. With the birth of GBTV, he challenges us to unite and get involved. In that spirit, we’d love you to join us and to suggest your LGBT friends and allies that support Glenn and GBTV to do the following:

In order to connect with each other, join our LGBTV group:
      http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_142847165789848&ap=1

Wow, I appreciate all the encouraging comments. Thank you.

@Rowdy, for every gay activist or nut whooping it up in public in a g-string, there are 100 more of us who would never do such a thing. With all do respect, Chicago isn’t exactly the yardstick by which you should measure normal behavior.

@SurvivorSeed, What progressives, especially libs, fail to understand is that small-government conservatism, libertariansism is good for everyone, even gay people. The BIG left has embraced gays, just like all other minorities, for the same reason – power. They give lip service to equality and diversity while creating the very big-government framework that can enslave all people, including the useful idiots who did all the work for them. That a good portion of conservatives still hold prejudices against homosexuals is not the fault of the conservative, it’s the fault of the gay activist who has made GAY an identity rather than a sexual orientation. Screaming at the top of their lungs in pink underwear and a boa isn’t winning any friends or influencing people – at least not positively. Further, that a small-government minded person has a problem with homosexuality, has no bearing on the fact that the small government position is the right one. I realize that this makes no sense to progressives, but therein lies the problem.

What I find perplexing is this…. Gays were persecuted and attacked for so long, society (much of it) has come to accept those who wish to be gay, I would think or hope that people who were on the receiving ends of attacks would be the ones who would be the most peaceful since they know what it felt like to be on the receiving end. Yet I find Gays to be extremely hateful and it is a poor reflection on them, they should be above such things and show that they are better then that, yet I don’t see it at all, its a shame.

    Same group the article says???

    If so, this is ORGANIZED.

Because it is assault and/or vandalism, so it is a CRIME.

When you combine CRIME and ORGANIZATION,
you get CORRUPT RACKETEERING charges = RICO statutes.

Prosecute under RICO and throw their sorry butts in jail for 25 years!!

While I totally agree with you T.F. they believe they are “special” and are entitled to special benefits in how they conduct themselves. This is the effect of giving into special interests. They believe that the “hate crime” laws give them special rights not afforded to the majority. Not until a few go into the ground will they back off and go back under their rocks. Not all, just the radical element. 95% of the gay community are good people who don’t want to be singled out as being special and different. Most are tired of the attention and just want to live their life. Just ask a few.

@upstate – I am one of the FEW on theblaze.com that speaks up for their rights, usually quoting Thomas Jefferson (a namesake) – “If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what business is it of mine?”
However, assaulting people DOES fall under the “breaks my leg” category, and I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT AND WILL NOT DEFEND THAT ! !
If you want to be treated EQUALLY, you have to conduct yourself EQUALLY as responsibly.
Public displays as this set their cause BACKWARDS. It only seves to agitate and activate their own base. It does absolutely nothing to promote their cause.

How can rational, honest people be expected to continue to stand up for them when they conduct themselves like this??? We cannot ! !

I, for one, will post no further support, nor speak any further support for their rights until they have gone 30 days without assaulting people.

You would think Gays would flock to the sides of Conservatives, while they may have differing views, at least Gays won’t be hanged in the streets under Sharia Law which is what the anarchist leftist Progressives are going to allow by coddling the Islamists and allowing Sharia Law onto US soil.

Gays need to become Conservatives in politics for their own survival.

Homosexuals are mentally ill and in need of treatment. That fact was recognized until a rigged vote in the early 70s when buggery was declared an “alternate life style”.

Next, to insist that one is forced from birth to perform perverse sexual acts is beyond absurd The last I heard there were no kidnappers forcing these indivduals into bath houses to perform same sex acts at gun point. If the idea were not so sick it would be laughable.

The simple fact is that individuals are fully capable of controlling their sexual behavior regarding with whom they choose to have sex. So unless there is a gun present stop looking at your buddies backside as an alternative to the natural use of a woman.

Everyone will find themselves faced with one tendency or another. Many face the tendency to anger quickly. Others find it difficult to accept people of different race, faith, or origin. Some struggle with controlling their desires for those of the opposite gender, while some struggle with controlling their desires for those of the same gender.

“And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.” (Ether 12:27)

Homosexuality is a struggle, and through the Lord can that burden be lightened. Just like it is important for us to remove anger from our lives and control our passions and appetites, it is important for us to control all forms of tendencies that are not of God.

Shane, no one escapes suffering in this life. We all go through some pain, sadness, and adversity. God allows us to go through trials so we can be tested and have our agency.

Bad things can happen to good people when people misuse their agency. Those who make poor choices hurt themselves and sometimes other people, even good people. Crime and divorce, for instance, are often the result of poor choices.

    Romans 1:27-32
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Again TRUTH will prove that homosexuality and the all sexual immorality acts thereof are an abomination to GOD…this is 100% fact including scientific fact….Again JESUS speaks loud and clear in HIS WORD….God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity in
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

I respect your opinion and your right to it. I’m not one of the ignorant bunch who points fingers and calls others intolerant because we disagree. If I ask for tolerance of my position, I certainly must be willing to give it to others. For the record, I understand what is said in the Old Testament and limitedly in the New Testament about homosexuality, and after a great deal of ‘soul searching’ I made the only determination I could live with and decided to accept the fact that I’m a gay man. I understand that I will have to deal with God about that, but that is between me and Him.

My question for you, and I ask it with all due respect; do you make the same stand against the heterosexuals who are having sex out of wedlock? Do you make similar statements about straight ‘couples’ who shack up and produce children without a covenant? Are you this vocal about the promescuity among straight people who create children with no intact family?

I find what straight people do to children to be infinitely more wrong than for someone to be attracted to the same sex and act on that attraction.

B-Rad……Great points. I can only say to you…..a sin is a sin, is a sin, is a sin. In Gods eyes we are all sinners and have fallen short of the Glory of God. If we steal a piece of paper or go on a murdering rampage….it’s a sin in God‘s eyes and he can’t be around sin, hence Jesus who died for all of us. Now….being gay….is that going to prevent someone from getting into heaven? If you are born again no I don’t think so Jesus said he paid the price in full for all sin….NOT I pay the price for all sin except those who are gay? No.
Now we must look at the word REPENTANCE. It the Greek term it is to turn away from. This is what I call the daily walk with God; you know take up the cross and follow me daily? I am married but I have had relations with other women=Sin. I take the Lords name in vein occasionally=SIN. I Lust=SIN, and many more. But the Lord is forgiving and I’ll never be perfect or without sin till I die and enter heaven with Father God. I agree people are too hard on “gays” when indeed other things are being over looked. It makes me think of Jesus “if you are without sin throw the first stone”

B_RAD — See my post — p. 6 as I post this. Yes – heteros are sinning when they commit adultery, etc. It is not a sin for gays to simply have abnormal preferences – only when they choose to act on them; like heteros – not a sin to have normal ones – only when they choose to act to commit adultery, etc. Yes, believe most are born this way via generational curses from family line. This has been greatly misunderstood and mishandled by Christians – I am terribly sorry but the good news, many Christians realize this & there are churches that will welcome you & love you like they should & if you surrender your life to Jesus (who loves you) – if you haven’t already —He will help you/heal you of past hurts & injustices. Most of the time (if not all) demonic spirits are involved & you need to get rid of them & keep them at bay w/help of the Holy Spirit – you need education about spiritual warfare, etc. Testimonies found on the web. Miracles happen! God bless you.

All other sins are equal in the eyes of God. So, the fact that you practice homosexuality is no worse than someone lying or stealing. It is no worse than the occasional profane word that comes out of my own mouth. We are all sinners in the sight of the Lord.
