Much better to be paid to breed like rabbits, sleep all day and do drugs and drink all day. If anyone thinks the children of the welfare recipients are taken care of take a look, not happenings. Money would be better spent flushing it down the toilet.
If government was serious about ending dependency, there would be no additional children produced after going on welfare, there would be drug testing done at least every couple months and if using the individuals should be dropped off the welfare rolls forever, the limit on welfare should be no more than five years and all the time the person is on the program they should have to mow lawns, pick up trash for the number of hours equal to what they are receiving including all benefits.
Right now we have five or six maybe even more generations on welfare and they more these people are given the more they expect. They call these people living in poverty – compare that to other countries poverty and these people are living high on the hog.

They create “FAMILY TRUSTS” – and all the money and assets goes into those “trusts”.
The assets of the trust are USABLE by the family and their ‘heirs’. Stipends are paid from those trusts, which are then shoved into tax shelters.
Prior to death, they TRANSFER assets to their children/family in the form of “gifts”.
It is only the hard working families who have struggled their entire lives to build something tangible to leave to their children, who are obliterated by these evil/vile/corrupt taxes.
A couple with 4 children builds a family dairy farm. The herd has grown, and they sell lots of milk. The land has increased in value due to construction in the area. Then, they die. Now, the FOUR children have a farm worth $2million. (Which would amount to 500k each) Nice, but not a FORTUNE by any definition. However, the socialist democrats sweep in, and DEMAND roughly HALF in the form of “taxes”. Now, there is a tax bill of ONE MILLION DOLLARS. So, to keep their family farm, they have to FORK UP $250,000.00 EACH !!! ONLY THEN, will they be allowed to keep mom and dad’s farm in operation. Otherwise, the farm goes on the auction block, and sold to the ‘highest’ bidder (in this economy? really??) They get $1.1 million at auction. The socialist democrats are standing there DEMANDING their “CUT”. After the socialist democrats get HALF, the kids are left to split 550K (minus lawyers, auction fees, etc.)

Actually, I think the Estate Tax of 55% (or is it 45%?) kicks at the $5,000,000 level, but you are correct with your example of what would happen. With the amount of machinery needed for a farm nowdays, I could see the parent’s estate being above 5 million.

The estate tax effectively taxes money that has already been taxed. In what twisted logic does this make any sense unless you want to redistribute wealth. Also the IRS redistributes wealth through EIC so that people get back THOUSANDS of more dollars than they paid in. How in the hell does that make any sense? I pay several thousands of dollars in Federal taxes every year but I know a couple who received $6000 more than they paid in last year. (and the low life husband doesn’t even work). Does that seem fair? Not in my book.
