Where else will you see Hall of Fame inductee Dennis Rodman and former President George H.W. Bush giving each other dap?
Nowhere, that’s where.
AP:
HOUSTON (AP) — Connecticut left the court at halftime feeling down after Butler’s Shelvin Mack hit a 3-pointer with less than a second left to put the Bulldogs up three points.
Chase Stigall hit a 3 22 seconds into the second half to put Butler up six points. After that, it was all UConn.
The Huskies combined some great defense with just enough offense Monday night for a 53-41 victory a third national championship.
Butler managed five field goals the rest of the way and the Bulldogs shot a Final Four-record low 18.8 percent from the field (12 of 64), including going just 6 of 37 in the second half.
The Huskies have always been defensive-minded under Jim Calhoun, who became the fifth coach to win three national titles, but this was above and beyond what anyone could expect.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 3:09pmPresident George Herbert Walker Bush brings class to anyone fortunate enough to meet him. There was more combined honor and service to our country in his and President George W. Bush’s administrations than the combination of carter, clinton and bho’s administrations, families, and close friends. They are a loving family with no felons, no thieves, no tax cheats, no black panther voting place intimidators, no illegal aliens, no seiu members, no Muslims terrorists, no draft dodgers and are a God fearing gun owning credit to this republic.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 7:32amNot my favorite sport, nor my favorite photo. It smacks of sleaze. AS a matter of fact, when I looked at the video shot of the enormous place where a college finals game was played, it made me sick. What has happened to AMERICA that we put far too much emphasis on sports, BETTING(?), drinking and trashy pastimes? Too much money being made here, folks. It is s-l-e-a-z-y!!!! The selling of souls doesn’t go over well with GOD, either their souls or ours.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 2:48amWhy do Americans love college sports? I believe it is fun to watch, you don’t know who will win and the athletes are kids who look like they play for fun. The Super Bowl may have larger ratings but isn‘t everyone just a little tired of millionaires crying that major league team owners aren’t treating them fairly, or major league team owners bullying cities into building them billion dollar stadiums. I know the NCAA is not pure but it is purer than the pros. Congrats to the Huskies. The best team won.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 3:00amI agree with everything you said except, “the best team won.“ A more descriptive statement would be ”the worst team lost.” That was the worst display of championship basketball I’ve ever seen but it was entertaining.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 9:25amWe have 20 days until that great day for Christians called “EASTER”. A great day for a new resurrection and miracles. Pray everyday for our country and we can see BOTH! God still has his hand on the US, he is waiting for the CHRISTIANS to RISE UP and be HEARD. As the Bible says “God has not given us the spirit of FEAR, but of POWER, LOVE AND A SOUND MIND and the LORD is expecting we Christians to follow this teaching…..and stay focused on HIM not what obammy is doing. What we tend to dwell on all the time becomes our IDOL – let us not be caught dwelling on obammy but PRAISING GOD and he will hear and answer our prayers,.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 1:24amPlaying Christians for Suckers the Sorosian way
Pay attention to the news? Watch world events? Read news sites voraciously? Believe in Jesus Christ?
Notice anything? Surely you have. Surely you‘ve noticed the way that events seem to be playing out in a way that could be said to correlate fairly accurately by Revelation’s depiction of the end times… I mean, it’s hard to deny, right?
Let me explain: The clue to knowing what‘s going on is Obama’s own words, when he spoke derisively of christians clinging to their God and their guns. Soros and clan are banking on this being an accurate portrayal of the folks in ‘flyover country.‘ They’re betting the whole enchilada on it. Their intention is to create an environment that looks, for all intents and purposes, precisely like the biblically-portrayed ‘end times.’ Their purpose is to get your submission and a sense of fatalism that all this is inevitable. Think about it. How do you get the Christians to give up without a fight? Simply convince them this is all part of God’s plan. and that Jesus is coming back soon.
GB is falling for it too, out of an abundance of love for his country, and a deep and abiding faith. The problem is here, that Soros told you himself he considers himself a god, and that he struggles with messianic self-arrogation.
So why go through all of this? Simple: If you wish to install a truly communistic style government, you must crack down. What is the pretense for the crackdown? Unrest at home and a war against Israel overseas.
Many Christians will see this necessarily as the harbinger of the endtimes. Hell, probably half of Christians already think Obama is kin to the antichrist as it is… So it’s not a hard sell, if you know what I mean.
If they can do that, Christians will sit on their hands until it is too late. They need to immobilize Christians. Despite all their demonizing propaganda, they know you’re opposed to violence generally. Meanwhile, they‘ve succeeded in convincing any number of people that Christian ’fundamentalists’ are all violent freaks, to justify what they want to do to you anyway.
Worse yet, many christians will see these tribulations as biblical in origin. They‘ll accept these contrived ’end times’ as the real deal, and go quietly into submission to await the end.
Only, the end is something different. It isn’t a short period of hell on earth punctuated by the return of Jesus, but the human-contrived hell on earth that never ends: The misery of abject slavery and deprivation born of statism.
Don’t fall for it. The end is near only if you surrender to it.

Posted on April 5, 2011 at 7:27am@MARKAMERICA ~~~ I agree with your post.
As a Christian, I too, am looking at the end times scenario (because it really, really fits BIG time); yet, I find myself divided (the plan of the enemy, right?) whether to pray for AMERICA to wake up and for GOD to give us yet another chance this time really under HIS direction, or for us to be Raptured out of here and the Tribulation begin.
In desperation of praying against HIS will, I tell HIM what my heart wants, then I pray, “YOUR will, GOD, only YOUR will.”
I am working hard in our 912ers’ group to see that we have no more of obamamama or his nasty ilk leading this country ever again. I have my guns (plural) loaded and ready. I will fight for AMERICA til my dying breath.
Thank you, MarkAmerica, for your post. Keep after us so we do not lose heart. Write Glenn and tell him your ideas. They are good. GOD BLESS YOU and GOD BLESS AMERICA, ISRAEL and all HIS kids everywhere in the world.

Thanks. I know GB has a number of researchers working for him. I‘m surprised that none of them has realized what’s going on. What’s funny about it is that GB does understand how the nutjobs in Iran hope to bring about the Mahdi by initiating the blood-letting, but he doesn’t quite grasp that the leftists are trying to essentially do the same by playing on Christian revelation.
Of course, the leftists are worse because they are cynically using Christian beliefs against Christians. The Iranian thugs actually believe their own bilge.
Point is, the left is trying to set up Christians.
As usual… The difference being that they are using Christian beliefs to do it.
