George Zimmerman’s Lawyers No Longer Representing Him After Losing Touch

In the grand scheme of things to do when you are the center of one of the first big media firestorms of the year, ignoring your legal help is probably not near the top of the list. And for anyone looking for more reasons to be suspicious of George Zimmerman, the shooter of Trayvon Martin, doing that is a powerful sign of weakness. Reuters reports:
George Zimmerman’s lawyers withdrew from his defense on Tuesday after the man who shot and killed an unarmed black Florida teenager telephoned prosecutors directly, contacted a television journalist and set up a website all without their knowledge.
Defense lawyers Craig Sonner and Mark Uhrig said they lost contact with their client on Sunday and were concerned for his mental and physical health following a wave a protests across the country that have demanded Zimmerman’s arrest for the death of Trayvon Martin, 17.[...]
They said they were particularly concerned that Zimmerman had telephoned the special prosecutor’s office and offered to answer questions. The prosecutor‘s office told the attorneys about Zimmerman’s call and said they declined to meet or speak with him without his legal representation.
Additionally, Zimmerman is described in the story as “emotionally crippled,” and overly obsessed with the news surrounding the case. This may explain his semi-panicked response. However, given that he has been taking to the web to beg for help with legal fees, alienating the legal help he already had is a very poor decision. Mediaite has a video report on this development:
Reportedly, Zimmerman also reached out to Radio and TV personality Sean Hannity to speak about his side of the story off the record. Hannity apparently declined.
Trayvon Martin’s family attorney, Benjamin Crump, has already expressed concerns about Zimmerman potentially being a flight risk because of his lack of touch with legal authorities:
Trayvon’s family was always concerned that Zimmerman doesn’t try to skirt his legal responsibilities and become a flight risk. We always wanted this before a judge and a jury. We hope that [authorities] will take this under consideration that this a flight risk. If they go to press charges, is he really going to face them?
Regarding the website, therealgeorgezimmerman.com, Crump says:
It’s America, and he has a right to do what he wants to do. The family was a little taken aback that George said he had this life-changing occurrence [and needs money]. Well Trayvon Martin had a life-ending occurrence; his family had to do all this stuff [to get someone] who killed their child to face a judge and a jury. The fact that he has this website and he’s out to do this website, when you see the balance, Trayvon is dead. If it were the reverse, Trayvon would have been arrested by day one.

I think it’s irresponsible for any President of the United States to make a comment on ANY case that has NOT been investigated fully by the law. This is big mouth Obama’s 2nd time to open his mouth before the facts are out (recall the “Beer Summit”?)
what on earth do you mean Our president was just acting stupidly??
on a more important note Why has the police not offered protective custody over this super sensitive case? Why the hell is the Governor allowing this to escalate ? why is any one in any kind of authority allowing this to get worse? How is it that the media can still get away with twisting the story and allowing them to add all kinds of false hoods even after being proved they have all this time?

Yeah, this coming from the guy representing the family where the poor grieving baby Momma went and filed two applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the phrases “I am Trayvon” and “Justice for Trayvon.” Zimmerman needs money to survive. In fact, the article says he called the prosecutes office…which is a stupid thing to do, but besides the point. By all accounts, the police must think that it is a clear case of self defense. I can understand his mental and emotional state. From what I read and heard from a witness, he was attacked physically by Travon Martin, suffered a beating and fought back as he was being beaten. From what I understand, it was not some senseless killing, it was self defence.

Zimmerman is not required to follow their advice, they are not incharge. So with their feeling hurt they come out and say they are no longer assisting Zimmerman , INSTEAD OF. Checking on the well being of their client they drop tale and run to the media. What if Zimmerman has been met with foul play? How would they look then saying,“we were unable to reach him so we pulled a Sara Palin and quit” If these so called Lawyers had a pair between them they would stand up for Zimmerman and fight the good fight. The Lamestream media should be really proud of themselves.
NBC getting caught “doctoring” that 9/11 call to make Zimmerman appear racist is a perfect example of these liars and how far they are willing to go to advance the liberal agenda. Just like they insisted Zimmerman was “white” until pictures clearly showed a man who was Hispanic.
There was a shooting case in Tulsa, OK in the past week or so — several black people were shot at random. The media dutifully rushed out and breathlessly announced that BOTH the suspects in the case were WHITE, and it might be a HATE CRIME! In fact, the one who did the shooting is a Cherokee Native American. His father was shot and killed by a black man who was attempting to break into his daughter’s apartment. That fine fellow is currently serving “a 6-year sentence on a weapon’s charge”. Apparently he was never charged with the murder at all, which may be one reason the Cherokee guy decided to make his own justice.
Our lying piece of garbage, “I’m-A-Uniter-Not-A-Divider” POTUS should be real proud of himself–he has so divided the country along racial lines that we are on the verge of a white vs. black Civ

Posted on April 10, 2012 at 11:56pmIt is only news if a white person kills a black one — that automatically makes it a “racist hate crime”. Of course black people can kill white people–or each other–every day of the week, and that is OK, not even worthy of a media mention. The blatant double standard of the lying mainstream media is enough to make any sane person sick. Why anybody listens to them or believes anything they have to say is one thing I cannot figure out.
NBC’s “creative editing” of the 9/11 call recording in this case is just the latest example of their lies, half-truths, slanted reporting, etc. This is not the first time they’ve been caught doing “creative editing” to make it look like something it was not.
Remember the guy carrying the rifle in Arizona who was “there to intimidate blacks?” The film was carefully edited to conceal the fact that the guy with the rifle WAS black. NBC’s fingerprints were all over THAT one, too. Well, duh, aren’t they owned by GE? He sheltered beside a garage but that might have had to do with a sudden downpour.
The cops arrived per the blogger (probably a liberal.) 1.5 minutes after the incident. But it begs the question, why didn’t Zimmerman wait?
