Geraldo: Casey Anthony Prosecutors Excel at ‘Slutification Process’

On this morning’s “Fox and Friends” morning show, Geraldo Rivera made his weekly appearance. First on the docket was the ongoing Casey Anthony trial, the mother accused of murdering her young daughter, Caylee, in Florida in 2008. While discussing the latest developments in the case, Geraldo had this to say:
“I think the prosecution, Clayton, has done an excellent job in what I call the slutification process. They have really portrayed Casey Anthony, effectively I think, as someone who is heartless, selfish, narcissistic, self-involved; absolutely not behaving … .”

That Geraldo would use the term is interesting considering the big controversy this week centered around Ed Schultz using the term “slut” to describe Laura Ingraham. But, it is important to point out that this does seem to be what the prosecution is trying to do. They want to portray Anthony as a care-free woman with no morals, who was so self-absorbed she was willing to kill her daughter and party it up afterwards.
That Geraldo would use the descriptor this week seems more like the unfortunate result of concurrent news stories dominating the news cycle rather than anything gaffe-worthy or malicious.

When over 200 women kill their children every year and they get No special attention or the death penalty is impossed at all..a woman drowned her two babies last year and all was said, was..”She’s had a hard life”…and was stressed out? Nothing more was ever said. They are going after this women’s character..which is what they always do…if your not a saint , your guilty..its all so stupid…what are the facts..? What is the real evidence….and why is this case on TV everyday? This should not be a huge case that is judged by the public, and news media…to me she is not getting a fair trial, period.

Posted on May 27, 2011 at 3:55pm@ WELOVETHEUSA I live near Orlando, and although I do not follow this case because it is just so sad and twisted, I can’t help but beaware of it as I am in the same media market that Orlando is. Believe me the defense is the side destorting the facts… There is something very wrong with this young woman and it is my belief that what she is doing to her father right now is terrible, in my mind the defense is trying to come up with some logical thread that they can use to create reasonable doubt regardless of any basis for the truth. I thought that attorneys were sworn officers of the court and as such were somehow committed to search out the truth… My personal opinion is that attorney’s who pursue such outlandish accusations which can have a devastating effect on others should not only be disbarred, but should be sued for liable. At the end of this trial, Casey in all likelihood be convected, and her father‘s reputation will have beeb forever tarnished to no gain because of some weasel attorney’s blind ambition to free his murderous client.

I’ve been watching the trial, very interesting. He’s right regarding the painting a slutty picture of the defendant by the prosecution, too bad the judge does not agree. Too early to tell who did what….. lot’s of speculation.

He gave some lame excuse about all the factors that go into this. I wanted to ask Geraldo if anyone cared about the babies “factors” when she was brutally given the death penalty by her own deranged mother. If convicted, and she should be, she should be executed (Texas style).

I go back to the “nappy headed ho’s” that caused a talk show host to lose his job. The difference in that is skin color – neither one was appropriate but Laura is white, therefore it is merely a slap on the wrist. It is obvious MSNBC condones Shultz’s behavior (nice outrage performance) or he would be in the unemployment line.

Mothers are supposed to love and care for their children and protect them. Unfortunately little Caylee needed to be protected from her own mother. A tragic event like this cast shadows upon mothehood and childcare in general. Speaking as a father, grandfather and great grandfather, I feel guilty because, in reality we all let little Caylee down and deprived her of her life by not paying attention to what was happening.
Should Casey be convicted, does she deserve the death penalty? Absolutely ! Any sentence less than the maximun sentence prescribed by Florida law for First Degree Murder would be a second crime. It’s apparent that other family members let little Caylee down by not openning their eyes to see what was going on before it was too late.Surely their were signs that things weren‘t right before Caylee’s death. Had someone stepped in, maybe she would be alive today. But, they didn’t ! May justice prevail in the Casey Anthony trial.

Casey Anthony is someone who wanted the freedom to do what she wanted. Unsure if anyone remembers, but she took the police to Universal Studios to “her office” she claimed she worked at when in fact, she hadn’t worked there for years and it had been a short stint. She did everything she could do to derail the process and in the meantime, it was “me, me, me”. I think her parents know she did it, but decided after was all said and done, they would stand behind her and cover up for her. This is apparent in the early pleas they had to the police, etc. Their tune completely changed when the writing was on the wall. Also, if you watched at any length the jailhouse conversations—Casey rules the conversation and wields power over her parents. They are a dysfunctional bunch.

On O‘Reilly’s show he actually made a frothing-at-the-mouth attack on those who believe the teaching of sedition in the US by Arizona schools is wrong. He supported their right to teach that the US stole the Southwest from Mexico, defending them to the point of hysteria. He was cut off. Fox claimed it had “satellite problems.”
Because Michelle Malkin wanted a sane immigration policy, Geraldo said he’d like “to spit on her.”
He rabidly supports all illegal immigration from the South only and he’s went nearly into “berserk” mode several times with hysterical rants on O‘Reilly’s program many times in the past.
He’s definitely a nut case, not to be taken seriously.
