The Congressional Budget Office has released a report on all unauthorized appropriations and expiring authorizations for fiscal year 2012. The report has been sent to both the House and the Senate.
The purpose of the report is to act as a reminder of all stopgap measures that are in place. The government is running on a series of continuing resolutions.
“How big a deal is this?”asks Business Insider. “Potentially, it’s a very big deal. The amount involved is $969B!”
The report is comprised of two lists. This first one looks at the spending for which the necessary enabling legislation has already expired:
This second list is for those expenditures whose authorizations expire on or before September 30 of this year:

The 1st two years of the Obama Administration had control of both the Senate and the Congress. This President has yet submitted a budget to run this country. Pres. Obama appears to have a blank check to run this government the way he sees fit without submitting a budget that would outline what he is doing to this country.
This is going into the 4th year of this administration and there has been no budget that is open to the American public to describe the intentions of this administration. Pres. Obama with the support of Senator Harry Reid has managed to hide what this administration has done for the past 3 years and intends on doing for the next year.
You can make all the claims that you want but the fact is that any bill coming out of the Congress is stymied by Harry Reid. That is the absolute fact.

Posted on January 27, 2012 at 11:59pmEvery single dollar spent on a government program is a dollar that would have been better spent in the market.
Did you personally need a brown tree snake removed in the last year? No? You paid for it anyway. Here‘s a service 10’s of millions of people don’t need, but 150 million people were forced to pay for it.
Had those people chosen to spend that money on their own, their collective contributions to the market would have pooled in places that were better run and more efficient. Driving the market to improve for its customers. Better yet, many of those people wouldn’t have spent the money, but saved it toward a future purchase.
Of course, the government is encouraging you to stop saving. Who complains that we are a consumer culture, but then tells us we have to keep spending to keep the economy going? That’s stupid.
Real wealth is created when you grow the economy and wealth. Increase interest rates, and more people will save more of their earnings. Those earnings become real, loanable funds to potential home-owners or small businessmen.
The home-owner gets a house sooner, the businessman improves his business, and the investor is rewarded for risking his money on the homeowner and the business man.

Posted on January 28, 2012 at 12:06amGeez, if Capitalism isn’t the most ethical and moral of economic systems. Humans depend on each other, and they make constant choices about how to spend their time, energy, and capital. A central authority, operating in a complex modern economic system, can’t possibly forsee every outcome or choice.
But when they try to, the realize they can’t. The only way you can, is if you limit choice and take control of people’s behaviors. The problem with controlling human beings is the more you control, the more you have to control. Central Planners have never predicted human behavior well, and generally make problems they try to solve much worse. Freedom is traded for the promise of security.
Really, freedom is traded for scarcity. Government can’t let the collective system become wasteful and inefficient, because it must always serve the greater good, so those who couldn’t make it on their own must still be dragged along with everyone else. No one can be left behind. Moreover, everyone must participate in dragging, whether they want to or not. That’s a form of slavery. Did slaves produce at maximum capacity when working for their masters? Probably not.
Free, happy people always outproduce the miserable. Freedom starts with economic freedom, and the freedom to choose not to participate.

Posted on January 28, 2012 at 8:19pmOk. I am going to make this as succinct as possible.
The World‘s Richest and most Powerful have been wanting to take America Down from it’s Inception.
This goes way back, unfortunately I only have 1305 characters left.
In 1912 America’s federal Government was broke (What’s new?)
They turned to the Aforementioned for a Loan: Richest, Most Powerful.
The Federal Reserve PRIVATE bank was born. STILL TO THIS DAY, NO MORE FEDERAL than FEDERAL EXPRESS.
In 1933 we defaulted. Gov‘t liqudated it’s Gold. Not enough.
The Gov’t forced “citizens” to turn in their gold under martial law. Not Enough.
The “gov’t” (Most were already in bed with the Banksters) PLEDGED America’s LAND, GOVERNMENT and PEOPLE as collateral for the “Governments DEBT”.
They promised that you would pay taxes all your life, to the Federal reserve PRIVATE BANK.
THIS is a COMPLETE CONTRADICTION to our Constitution. The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT can not pledge an individual, when it was created to protect our FREEDOMS and LIBERTY.
We the PEOPLE, own the GOVERNMENT. NOT the other way around.
In 1933 birth Certificates became Law in all states and Social Security in 1936.
These are interest-bearing bonds for the receivers of the Bankruptcy to hold.
In 1944 at the Bretton Woods Agreement the lien on the America and it’s “Assets” (YOU)
were quitclaimed to the IMF and WORLD bank (Banksters). They created the UN in 1945.

I think that I disagree with you SAMIAMTWO. The Congress that is controlled by the Republicans have passed numerous bills and have sent them to the Senate for their vote. It just so happens that the Senate is still controlled by the Democrats and the Democrat Leader Harry Reid has made the choice to table anything that comes from the Congress that he does not agree with.
Harry Reid has one agenda and that is to stifle any legislation that is passed by the Republican Congress so that he can later claim that it is a do nothing Congress. If the people believe him then he wins. If the people do their own research and determine what the real facts are then hopefully they will elect a Senate in 2012 that will remove this joke of a leader and put someone in place that really cares about our Country and not and iIdeologue.

Those people are Soros funded commies and if you spout those talking points then you must be one of them… granny.
The obstruction is 100% in the Harry Reid Senate. In the 2012 elections the do nothing senators that are up for re-election that are leftist are gone. The republicans/conservative are going to get a filibuster proof majority in the senate. Period. You can thank Oblamer for that….and if your Huffpo or Move on dot org or the Occupiers and Robert Reichhhhhhhhhhch and NPR tell you otherwise, then your hearing their wishful thinking. While you may hold completely different political and sociological viewpoints, and there is nothing wrong in having a difference, you seem to act as if no one else is allowed the same privilege. Plus you seem to believe you are the only person, or your political ideology is the only one that could possible be correct. I am sorry but your ideology must hold up to scientific scrutiny; if with all the practice and testing throughout the history of the world, utilizing aspects from the current american “democratic-liberal” philosophy it was established to actually work then I would agree with you more often. The problem lies in that the opposite is true. I.E. every time the ideologies that current liberals possess are enacted the system utilizing them fails. You know…the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over while expecting different results. Your party offers you horrible choices, and like sheep you willingly pull the lever for a candidate you consider fatally flawed. It is blind loyalty like this that is the very reason the powers that be continue to offer you such buffoons.
Yes, Ron Paul is not likely to win the nomination because of folks who are blind…just like you. And then…when nothing changes, you will once again be offered the likes of McCain, Romney, and Gingrich in 2016…and you still won’t be able to figure out why nothing changes. You will just once again pull the lever…while Rome burns.
There is only one candidate who is for restoring the Bill of Rights, and who’s record proves he is fiscally responsible, and because of blind party loyalists who vote for party over principle…your kind has doomed our nation to certain failure.
Because of the open contempt you party loyalists have shown towards Paul’s supporters by calling us crazy, blind, Bots….ect, and the fact that Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich are all Obama light… you can count on the fact that as a movement we will either go third party, or sit this one out, so you can thank yourselves for another 4 years of Obama, even if your guy wins.

Because our government doesn’t govern within the bounds of the constitution, they‘ve expanded government so much and over time convinced the populace we have a ’right‘ to a house a car a job and ’free’ health care, people are so dense they actually believe we have those ‘rights’.

look at the numbers
monthly average 1100
yearly 13200
time collecting around 15yrs 198000
7.7% tax rat on 108,000 = 8316
to get out what you pay in you would have to work 23years making 108,000 for 15 yrs of benifit the majority do not pay in that kind of money. Think compulsive spenders & unnecessary expenditures. If it can be done by other means & people, then it shouldn’t be funded by government. Put the welfares to work pulling weeds if we have to find something for them to do. Even mentally challenged people can pull weeds. Infertility a government concern? I think not. When you have the Senate Majority Leader such as Sen Harry Reid taking steps to table every bill that the House passes and sends to them then not much can be done. Harry Reid refuses to allow any bill that comes from the Congress to be considered for a vote in the Senate.
There are numerous bills already that Harry Reid tables so that he can blame the Congress for not accompolishing anything and to use in the upcoming election.
