Employees at WJTV in Jackson, MS got quite the surprise when they realized that giant icicles were falling from the sky and onto the station’s parking lot. Video shows the employees dodging the giant blocks of ice while trying to move their cars. The culprit? The station’s broadcast tower:

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 11:57amLet’s see. People risk being impaled by falling ice spears or hit by blocks of ice to save an inanimate object, their cars, from some damage. Not very smart in my book.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 1:13pmWhy would you risk your life for a car, makes no sense to me, It’s like the people that will kill them self to avoid a dog or cat. The ice is falling at speeds of 80 to 120 mph, O i forgot the nation is a little short on common sense these days.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 11:42amAnother sign of Global Warming, or Global Climate Change… depends on what they’re calling it today. If it wasn’t for warming, the icicles wouldn’t begin to melt and then fall.
See … simple… 2 + 2 = 5 (Liberal feel good math)

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 11:40amWhy would anyone in their right mind try to protect a car or truck that is insured when they could lose their life if hit with one of those icicles. They were deadly!

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 11:35amThis needs to be addressed immediately in Congress. Some one needs to introduce the Ice Control Bill making it illegal for people to allow ice to from on their homes, cars, trees, and bushes. An Ice Czar needs to be appointed and in charge of purchasing and supervising spreading of “green” salt on all surfaces that may accumulate ice, thus helping to create new “green” jobs.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 11:11amThey are falling off that tower. One would expect that once the ice starts melting. I have 100 ft trees in my yard you should be there when the ice is so heavy it breaks 4″ and bigger branches like they are toothpicks.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 1:59pmGood one! I suspect every breaking news story that‘s either a tragedy or negative will be the Tea Party’s fault. Unbelievable.
One a side note, wht would anyone risk their lives to save a car? That’s what insurance is for. I am left dumbfounded when I see people doing such reckless acts. If someone got hurt they would most likely blame global warming, oh sorry it’s called “climate change” now. I was raised to believe we always had climate change, it’s called winter, spring, summer, and fall.
