Gingrich Claims NBC‘s ’Under God‘ Omission Makes His Message ’Dramatically More Relevant’

Gingrich Claims NBCs Under God Omission Makes His Message Dramatically More RelevantCount him down, but not out. Republican presidential candidate and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is likely still trying to find his footing after losing his campaign manager and a number of top aides a few weeks back. And now, due to a recent media development, he may have the perfect opportunity to capture some attention.

Yesterday, Gingrich claimed that NBC’s now infamous “under God” omission makes his message “dramatically more relevant.” The NBC incident, which occurred over the weekend, may be seen as an opportunity for the politician to reinvigorate his campaign. The Hill has more:

Gingrich said that his ideas — particularly as articulated in his new book, A Nation Like No Other — are more salient following NBC’s decision to edit out the words “under God” from a Pledge montage during this weekend’s U.S. Open broadcast…

“I must say that my book, A Nation Like No Other, becomes dramatically more relevant after NBC’s decision that they will edit out ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance,” Gingrich said during an appearance on the conservative Hugh Hewitt radio show.

Gingrich is the first GOP candidate to discuss the omission. His new book and his campaign both embrace American exceptionalism — the idea that the U.S. is unique and unlike any other nation in history. Whether or not his campaign will be long-winded has yet to be determined, but from a political standpoint, utilizing the recent situation for his benefit is a savvy move.

The only thing that would make his message dramatically more relevant would be if he would make up his mind what his message is.

The phrase “under God” was incorporated into the Pledge of Allegiance June 14, 1954, by a Joint Resolution of Congress.

The founders absolutely did not want God to be an explicit part of our government. The valued religious freedom of individuals, including the freedom to not believe.

Infidelities, divorces, censured, the man is the walking hypocrite who will bring down genuine moral opposition to Obama and Democrats. Gingrich is more useful as a mouth piece than a candidate.

Open your eyes, read this history of the pledge before you blame the “left” for trying to “rewrite it”. The Pledge was product of the progressive era and written by a Christian Socialist minister. Look it up, do the research. Previous generations didn’t seem to find it important to recite words to a flag. Or perhaps as Jesus said, when you pray don’t do it in the open like a hypocrite for they have already received their reward. Maybe we should make sure our own hearts are under God before worrying about a golf broadcast. Or perhaps we should look at the content of our programming. I mean the Fox Network doesn’t support any actually UnGodly programing. Ofcourse not.

The lefts’ ability to ignore the belief system of the overwhelming majority of Americans (and then insult them) never ceases to amaze me. Do they honestly think we are no longer a Christian nation?

      BIG SKY:
There is a vast left wing movement to move the country in a progressive direction. They tend to REGULATE too much, and folks don’t appreciate what they end up with.
Aside from that, the only RIGHTS we Lost in the past ten years were surrendered to our irrational fear of terror, which stems mainly from right wing reaction to some Muslims hiding in windowless bedrooms in Pakistan.

There is a vast left wing movement to guarantee the separation of church and state. Then, there is NBC Sport’s weekend US Open coverage, whose producers are obvious idiots that are probably not long for their jobs. Most Americans love that their rights are provided by God the Creator.

Have you seen that Gingrich has now turned his message to the populist vision.

      1) Now he wants an audit and investigation into the Fed. ( http://tiny.cc/bzx64 )
      2) He is now attacking Romney for not signing the pro-life pledge, of which we know that he has written his own pledge and the Susan B. Anthony, the original pledge writers have accepted it and called Romney an ally to the pro-life movement. It makes me mad that the other candidates can totally neglect this: http://tiny.cc/ic5g7 ( half way down the page, TOP STORY)
