Gingrich on Unemployment Benefits: ‘99 Weeks Is an Associates Degree’

Discussing the controversial topics of unemployment benefits and how best to help those at poverty level gain meaningful employment, thus, lifting them out of poverty, Newt Gingrich said that all unemployment benefits must be tied to a work-training program. He also pointed out that 99 weeks — the maximum time allotted for receiving those benefits — could amount to an Associates Degree.
Gingrich also defended his “food stamp president” comment, asserting that no other president in America’s history has put more people on the government assisted food program.
“My Twitter has been inundated with people of all races asking if your comments are not intended to belittle the poor,” debate moderator Juan Williams began. He suggested that calling President Obama a “food stamp president” might sound, to some people, “as if you are seeking to belittle people.”
“The fact is that more people have been put on food stamps under Barack Obama than any other president in history,” Gingrich retorted.
“I will continue to find ways to help poor people find a job, get a job, and learn someday to own the job.”
Below are Gingrich’s comments via Fox Nation.

Posted on January 16, 2012 at 11:34pmC’mon America,
let’s get THIS one right.
Willard Romney is kindling wood,
Gingrich is Presidential Timber !
If you can’t see the difference between a RNC political, poster boy
and a wise, American LEADER,
then you don’t deserve to vote.
Gingrich IS the gamechanger in this election.
ONLY he can show that S.O.B. Obama the door.
For heaven sake-

Gingrich/West is a WINNING ticket !
Leadership times two.
Imagine those two up against Obama/Biden ?
West will add tremendously, to the Gingrich ticket,
he’ll be a great VP
and it will set him up for two terms, as President after Gingrich
has done his time….he has Presidential material written ALL over him.
If he is an extra force, in winning this election,
it is senseless to leave him in the Congress-
others will have to step up to the plate.
West will be a terrific boost for the Gingrich camp
and an exciting boost to a new administration.
He is as wise, worldly and patriotic, as they come….a godsend.
Gingrich & West have a superior respect for American History & love for America,
they would make a fierce, fearless, yet wise & witty team.
Under their care & command……America WILL rise, again !
Focus has to be placed on the House & Senate to keep replacing
the “has beens” & “do-nothings” with fresh, spirited, patriotic representatives
chosen BY the people…..NOT by the stagnant, old RNC.
This is the time to let the so-called “powers that be” know their irrelevant.
This is the time to remind the biased media…nobody’s watching & nonody’s listening.
MOST of all-
THIS is the time for the American people to go with their gut, with hand on heart.
MAKE it count, MAKE it happen !

It’s this simple folks;
In the last 60 years, the Republicans have fumbled the baton every time they’ve been given it, except once.
People got comfortable that time and took their eyes off the baton.
The socialists got power again and passed socialist laws, then lost power, and the Republicans took the baton again, and dropped it.
This baton passing has been going on for decades and we move closer to a socialist nation each time.
Follow the money
Mr. John F Kennedy Jr. once told me, “We have no choice … follow the money.”
We have a Senate that needs to be flushed down the toilet, along with an administration that needs to be incarcerated.
Don’t lose sight of conservative goals this time, or we lose our nation.
The socialists are almost there and they are drooling on themselves in anticipation of their final rule.
Even if Barry Soetoro loses the presidency, if we don’t have a strong conservative House and Senate forcing a RINO president into their corner, nothing will change.
Read history, it tells us a sorry story people …

Posted on January 17, 2012 at 10:38amRon Paul is the only GOP candidate who will change anything. With Gingrich or Romney you will get the same old thing. They won’t change our disastrous foreign policy, they won’t rescind The Patriot Act, the NDAA or the Enemy Expatriation Act either. They will most likely start WW3 by bombing Iran and oil prices will hit $200-$300 a barrel which will cripple the world economy even more. If you want to destroy the USA, go ahead and vote for Gingrich or Romney because they won’t be any better than Obama. The sad choice of McCain / Palin is what got Obama elected in the first place. Romney = Obama and Gingrich is the epitomy of a Washington insider neocon fool who will do what Israel tells him to do. Posted on January 16, 2012 at 11:20pmI pray you’re right paperboy. Let’s not get too over confident on the elction. Obama has a serious machine, with unions, media, hollywood etc. This will be a tuff fight for sure. Especially if we send up 2 piles of steaming crap and they split the vote.
I will vote for any of the following in this order”
Gingrich
Romney
Perry
Paul
Santorem
We will win the battle for conservatism one fight at a time, it may take 20 more years. More TEA Party House members and Senators, then hold whomever wins to his promises.
