Gingrich Movie: ‘America at Risk’ Set For 9/11 Debut

As the world pauses to memorialize the ninth anniversary of 9/11 Saturday, former Speaker Newt Gingrich and his wife, Calista, are hoping many will also take time to reflect on the ensuing American response to the threat of radical Islamists and the effectiveness of America’s global War on Terror.  Gingrich Productions — the Gingrichs’ joint filmmaking venture — has teamed up with Citizens United to produce “America at Risk,” a DVD documentary debuting tomorrow that examines national security concerns and the steps necessary to ensure America’s safety.

In “America at Risk,” the Gingrichs interview several experts in national security, the Middle East and terrorism policy who weigh in with their own thorough assessments of the country’s current security strategies–from Iran and North Korea, to the threat of Islamic extremists. Among them, former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, former UN Ambassador John Bolton, former CIA Director R. James Woolsey, Tony Blankley, Steven Emerson, Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, Frank Gaffney, Reihan Salam and others.

    The sad truth is that Newt is too old and the GOP hasn’t come up with anyone younger or as smart who can cut it. For all the outrage, the Republicans don’t have a real winner on the first or second string…and that is going to doom them this November. Obama is going to get his second wind and the rest of us will have to suck on his halitosis for the full 8 years. By the end of those, America will have died.

      The tough thing about getting the right person is that the political correctness, class warfare and such propoganda has taken its toll on our society. What We have to do is be willing to accept the hard decisions that must be made to right our Country.

      Government entitlements must be severly Cut. There will be chaos in the streets until private charities fulfill the real needs of people.

      Government agencies must be dismantled. Higher unemployment until the private sector catches up to the demand.

      The 16th amendment needs to be repealed. Higher unemployment from IRS agents and CPA job losses. State taxes will go up, but at least if we are being over taxed in a state we can at least move to another state.

      The 17th amendment needs to be repealed. I do not see any real negative effects of this one.

      Once the 17th amendment is repealed the states will be able to start having a voice. Dismantle the D.O.T and D.O.E. States can be responsible for their own citizens.

      The border must be fenced completely. Go back to immigrants having to show valid skills to become a citizen. If we do not have a federal entitlement system then there will not be as many people coming here, anyway.

      To do any of this We must be prepared for the TEMPORARY negative consequences of restoring America.

      I know there is alot more to do, but We must keep it simple and be methodical.

    I don”t have a problem with this movie (i’d like to see the rest) but I do have a problem with the release date. Newt ‘Dede Scozzafava’ Gingrich. has way too much baggage and as much as I hate to say it (I’ll be the drunken Uncle in the room), Does the release date have anything with him making a few bucks? $20 bucks a pop for the DVD?

    He’s a great guy to hear at the Lecture Hall, but there are some things that just creep me out about him.

    I wonder if the film will address the two factions of etremists. There are the sunni-Bin Laden types and then the 12th imam-Iran shiites. The trailer mentioned both and it’s true they mean us harm collectively. Both want to dissolve Israel after Britain gave them the land but one group wants World War III. The other has brought us into a subdued WWIII. This is why the CIA, FBI and the DHS as a whole must have the tools, funds and support of the American people. What is scary is the attitude at the leadership levels of these organizations put politics in front of security and duty. Maybe it‘s so they don’t become another member of the job “created” category also known to Nancy Pelosi as ‘unemployment’.

    Mr Speaker I propose for your consideration that the greatest threat to our National Security is the current President of the United States.

    He lacks the experience necessary to organize and carry out an effective Military Strategy ensuring Victory over Radical Islam.

    He is bankrupting our country so that we are without the financial resources to adequately outfit our Brave Fighting Force.

    He takes vacations while our soldiers are dying.

    I would suggest impeachment but find the alternative (Biden) just as frightening.

      I agree up to the point of the Biden option. I don‘t believe most take him seriously enough to allow further controlling legislation and he wouldn’t have a shot of re-election. When you see Obama blaming Repubs for the Economy although they had complete control of both the H.R. and the Senate for a year and still the House, you know Mr. Economy will use the logic in 2012. The man is incapable of blaming himself for the condition this country is in.

      One part of the question is about Nationality and the other is about Religion. I believe he is an American. As far as his religion, I have no idea what faith is in his heart. If he is a Muslim, then I guess he is a just another American Muslim. If he is a Christian then I guess he is just another American Christian.

      I do KNOW that actions always speek louder than words and his actions dont reflect ANY religion that I am familar with.

      Please show exactly in the Koran where it says that. I have been looking into that and haven’t found it. The only thing I have found is modern day interpretation of text that was fabricated 1400 years ago. Something to the effect of “slay the idolators….” which according to one muslim was referring to the pagan arabs of the time and did not infer anyone else. Only modern interpretations replace idolator with infidel.

Hell Newt will make more money on his speaking engagements, than that documentary will generate.       You want to talk about somebody cashing in on 9/11 huh? Well, how about your cheesedoodle eating brother MIchael Moore? How many “documentaries” has he made, with little or no fact checking, and how much money did he rake in on those? How about Al Gore? How about all the Soros funded “documentaries” like “The Story of Stuff” ? I am sure I could go on boat loads of examples of that statements hypocrisy, but I am sure I would eventually get cut off for lack of server space.
