Gingrich Tells Supporters on to ‘Florida and Beyond’ in South Carolina Victory Speech

Newt is back with a vengeance.
In Gingrich’s speech following his stunning victory in Saturday’s South Carolina GOP primary, the former Speaker of the House made it clear that his roller coaster campaign was back in gear and that foes in the news media, White House and ‘elites in Washington and New York,’ better take cover.
“The American people feel that they have elites who have been trying for a half century to force us to quit being American, and become some kind of other system,” Gingrich said in his victory speech in Columbia. “People completely misunderstand what is going on, it is not that I am a good debater. It is that I articulate the deepest-felt values of the American people.”
The Associated Press notes that Gingrich’s victory marks a remarkable turnabout for the former House speaker, who has battled back twice from near political oblivion. Gingrich’s speech focused on opposition to the President and his plans if elected, for the most part avoiding direct attacks at other Republican candidates.
“We don’t have the kind of money that at least one of the candidates has,” Gingrich said, referring to Romney. “But we do have ideas, and we do have people and we proved here in South Carolina that people power with the right ideas beats big money.”
Obama is “the most effective food stamp president in history,” the former Speaker went on to say. “I would like to be the best paycheck president in American history.”
Gingrich had suffered disappointing finishes in both Iowa and New Hampshire, going into South Carolina with his campaign on life support.
AP reports that Gingrich won Saturday with solid support from conservative and evangelical voters as well as those worried about the economy, according to exit polling. Gingrich was also helped with the endorsement of Texas Governor Rick Perry, who dropped out of the race on Thursday, as well as Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who said if she was South Carolinian she would vote for Gingrich.
Gingrich encouraged his supporters to come along with him for his campaign’s next stop at Florida’s January 31 primary. “With your help, we are now moving on to Florida and beyond,” he said.

Did anyone else want to fall asleep during this speech? 24min to say what he had to say, dose bloviating come to mind. Good in debates terrible in a speech. Remember everyone when you are president you don’t debate anymore. You are an orator. I am sorry to all the people who like him but he is going to have to setup up his game if he wants to win.
As a side note. Listen to the crowd’s reaction as the speech wares on. The applause gets less and less, and their enthusiasm goes down.

of course they already have their pollsters in place to make that happen one way or the other.

It will be a fight right from your local state to federal. There is so much uncommon sense to unwrap in our Federal government. The important thing is we get started. But remember we will be doing this in a time wear there is a growing foreign enemy that already once hit us with a decapitation strike. Which basically worked because of our self gratification and greed. and lack of faith that we could bring our enemy to surrender and victory in this age. None even Ron Paul is going to get to Washington and bring the moving trucks for the desk squatter , entitlement society . Time and a true game plan is what will restore America. If the American people have a leader that can clearly covey what will restore our society that’s who you go with.

They are thrilled at the prospects of a Mitt or Newt candidate going against Obama. They continually run clips of Mitt and Newt’s own words that make Obama look like a saint. These clips are ready made campaign endorsements for Obama.
Ron Paul may not be the best ‘grandstander/actor’ but his principles run circles around Obama any day and his steady Constitutional record cannot be disputed by Obama.

That being said, you are looking at the wrong part of the U.S. Constitution if you are looking for the President’s powers. Article I deals with Congress. Article II deals with the President and Section 2 of that article provides that “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States.” This power includes armed conflit without a declaration of war — the undeclared war with France in the late 1700′s is the earliest (and therefore the best, because of its temporal proximity to the ratification of the Constitution) example of the application of that executive power.

We know that he is and will destroy America. If we are to go on as a country we have to be as logical as we can. During the primaries, we all need to vote for the person who we believe is the best candidate. But when the primaries are over, we will be left with a single person and whether we like it or not that person must beat Obama. We have to believe they cannot be worse. So, I say that anyone who is even entertaining the idea of writing in a candidate in the general election will actually be voting for Obama. This ***** was a loser and jerk even as he was speaker, campaigning for Nelson Rockefeller, while taking student deferments for the Vietnam War. The Third Wave, the book by Newts buddie that he heavily endorsed calling for the constitution to be replaced. O h yes, this is the book he recommended to his new recruits as they became house members. The book calling the what the “Founding Parents”, is dangerous. To renew America, by Gingrich, is whole revealing mess in itself. Newt was announced by Europe as Internationalist. Newt , having Clinton agree Newt was on his side as an Internationalist. Warren Christopher announced asked on word to describe Newt, he said Internationalist. Interesting how the council on foreign relations was a part of Newt, suggesting we need to rethink our constitution and need a strong central government.WOW – must see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq4lde9wghI

Nobody that’s a TRUE Conservative votes for a dishonorable and dishonest man. Gingrich has a history of being emotionally abusive and dishonest to past wives, ethics violations professionally, and multiple examples of being a proponent of “Big Government” and weakened sovereignty (e.g.- NAFTA, GATT). Apparently, they have no problem with a sleazy man representing them. They must really be looking forward to setting a new standard: “the President and First ‘Ho”…………

Report Post »I have been a listener of your radio program for years now. I believe you have America’s best interests at heart, but I am personally turned off by your obsession with taking down Newt Gingrich. He has gained the support of so many of us because he is the only one who will take on the MSM and Republican establishment. He is imperfect, but I will go with the candidate who has the stones to fight for us. Did you hear Santorum’s speech tonight after the primary? He is posturing himself as the candidate who will bring in the so-called Reagan Democrats. How will he do this? By making sure everyone has an “equal chance to succeed, with access to education, training, manufacturing jobs” etc. Sounds like a big government progressive to me. Prove me wrong. But stop berating your listeners who have taken a look at the field of candidates and concluded that Newt is the only one who will take it to Obama and fight to win.

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 3:37amIf you have really looked at Newt’s long record? You are well aware Newt has more to fear from himself then anything Glenn the clown could say. Get a grip with reality. Newt has no chance! He doesn’t have the money or ballet access. It’s all a horse and pony show, Santorum is out next handing delegates to Newt. Then Newt will be gone, handing his delegates to Romney. Even with all the delegates given by other candidates given to Romney he will not have the required 1440. This could lead to a brokered convention that Ron Paul supporters have been preparing for the last 5 years by learning and participating in the delegate process. Welcome aboard the Ron Paul r3VOLution!

“Gingrich Backed Freddie in 2007 Interview
DECEMBER 2, 2011
His Comments in Support of the Mortgage Giant’s Business Model Came as Housing Bust Was Dragging Down Company
By NICK TIMIRAOS and PATRICK O’CONNOR
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich touted the virtues of Freddie Mac’s business model in an interview published by the company in April 2007, remarks that contrast with the candidate’s recent statements that he had warned the company of impending financial disaster.
The interview was featured on Freddie Mac’s website for several months in 2007 when he was a paid consultant to the company and Freddie Mac was struggling to address mounting financial problems as the housing boom was turning to bust.”

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 2:03amThere is much much more on Newt Gingrich. This man has literally determined the Constitution needs re-written. He is seriously a socio-path and I am quite frightened that this man has even made it to the place of being candidate after watching this video by the birch society (sp). Must see, over an hour long explaining just how off the hook Newt Gingrich is. Seriously, he is all about world government, just like all progressives, he imagines he come up with these wonder ideas using the government institution to makes things operate more efficiently and effectively. Newt and Dole sold our party out. While Newt was the leader, the single largest tax. Mr I balanced the budget, also taxed the crap out of us. I am going to buy his book, To renew America, so I can find out more on this man before it is to late. The ideas he fosters are the likes of internationalist and this is where the money supporting him is coming from. Newt campaigned for Nelson Rockefeller, the whole NAFTA thing, and they keep talking about this Gaf Accord or something with Dole ?? I can’t find anything on it or maybe I am not hearing the name right, but this accord seriously empowered federal government, as Newt is certainly for a strong central government. Sorry about my grammar, but my mind is racing from watching this video. Newt is every single thing Glenn warned us about. How does he stay under the radar on this stuff ? Please watch – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq4lde9wghI

Let me explain something to you.
If we don’t go back to a Currency based on gold or silver printed by our treasury under authority of congress, and Quit the United Nations, IT is GAME OVER for civil discourse !!!!!
RON is the only candidate that is anti-establishment and would end Progressive Terrorists such as the FED and their little collection agency; the IRS. In addition to the EPA, DOE, (Education and Energy, both of which, produce none of the implied).
Regarding your comment about odious and disparaging remarks, it is painfully obvious that the right wingers use the terms Paulbots, Paulistinians, Tin-foil hat wearers, etc., more than PAUL supporters comment on the lack of substance or intelligence of Neocons.
I find your moniker interesting.

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 6:26amDr Ron can’t claim purity when it comes to corporate subsidies. The Washington Post reported that he pressed the U.S. energy secretary in 2008 to approve a federal loan guarantee to expand a nuclear facility in Texas.
This contradicts statements Paul made in his 1981 book “Gold, Peace, and Prosperity,” in which he slams federally guaranteed loans, calling them “the most significant contributing factor to our inflation.”
Paul insists that the government should let the free market determine how energy is produced. He told the left-leaning Grist magazine in 2007 that research and development subsidies “are bound and determined to always misdirect money to political cronies,” and he criticized the federal government for providing ethanol subsidies.
But Paul tried to help certain industries by co-sponsoring legislation that included tax credits. One bill from 2011 promised $5 billion in credits to the natural gas industry. Another measure from 2009 promoted fuel efficiency with a $2,000 deduction for individuals who swapped gas guzzlers for fuel-efficient cars.
Report Post »As for earmarks, the congressman requested at least $157 million for fiscal year 2011, and another $398 million for fiscal year 2010, according to his congressional Web site. The provisions included $2.5 million for a “Historic Downtown Redevelopment Project” in Baytown, Texas; $8 million for replacing recreational fishing piers damaged during hurricanes; and $18 million for ship canal operation

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 6:47am“RON is the only candidate that is anti-establishment” 30yrs on the government dole is establishment! . Gold/silver, you don‘t get anything out of a gold standard that you didn’t bring with you. If your government is a credible steward of the money supply, you don’t need it; and if it isn’t, it won’t be able to stay on it long anyway. (See Argentina’s dollar peg). Meanwhile, the limitations on the government’s ability to respond to fiscal crises, the necessity of defending against speculative attacks in times of crises, and the possibility of independent changes in the relative price of gold, make your economy more unstable. It’s a terrible idea, which is why there are so few economists willing to raise their voices in support of it.No Ron Paul supporter (or other gold standard advocate) has managed to articulate to me what problem the gold standard solves.

You going to surrender that power easily? No way.
We DO NOT have to trade currencies with other Nations. WE can BARTER !!!!
It’s time to close the “shop” for renovations.
We must grant authority back to the U.S. Treasury to print REAL AMERICAN MONEY based on a standard to prevent inflation and criminal activities !!!!
I want to go to a bank one week and trade in a check for gold, like the old days !!!!!
I provide a service. I Accept GOLD !!!!!! I DO NOT NEED MONOPOLY MONEY printed from thin air by a PRIVATE BANK !!!!!!!
In regards to your comment about free market electric.
I would love to see lots in Neighborhoods become electric companies.
It would be easy. Simply purchase a lot install massive generator. Landscape to disquise.
Call the Gas co. for a delivery. Run some wires to the neighbors that want to do business with you. DONE.
He may have to compete with a competitor in the area. This would end a electric monopoly and bring prices down.
