Ginni Thomas, the recently controversial wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has relinquished control of her conservative political group so as not to be a “distraction.”
Ginni founded and was the CEO of Liberty Central, a group its website says “assists new citizen-activists in their search for educational resources and for tangible ways to impact our current political environment”:
“She’ll take a back seat so that Liberty Central can continue with its mission without any of the distractions,” spokeswoman Caitlin Carroll told the Washington Post. “After discussing it with the board, Mrs. Thomas determined that it was best for the organization.”
Rumors have circulated that Liberty Central could merge with other organizations, including fellow conservative group the Patrick Henry Center. Those claims, however, were refuted by Liberty’s COO.
“There are many opportunities being presented to Liberty Central, but there is no agreement at this time,” Sarah Field, chief operating officer and general counsel for Liberty Central, said in an e-mail to the Post. “The sources of this story appear to be people without full understanding of the facts.”
Ginny grabbed headlines last month when she left a voice mail with Anita Hill, the woman who accused her husband of sexual assault, saying that Hill should apologize.
“I would love you to consider an apology sometimes and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband,” Ginny’s message said.

Posted on November 16, 2010 at 5:50pmVery noble act.
She was too nice to the wicked Hill, Hill’s lies established a legal tradition of “women never lie ‘ so no need to protect the rights of males at hearings and trials. Even the accusations were silly considering the situation, imho. But cokie Roberts and the feminazis went wilding on poor Justice Thomas.

Posted on November 16, 2010 at 8:36amThis is the difference between Conservatives and Liberals. Mrs. Thomas respectfully steps down when her actions endanger her cause. Pelosi hangs onto power like a drowning sailor even though she’s dragging her whole party with her.

Posted on November 16, 2010 at 8:44amHerman Cain is a very intelligent man with a HEAP of common sense. He’s on WSB 750 am in Atlanta at 7pm Monday-Friday. I strongly encourage everyone to go their website & listen to what he has to say. He’s considering a run in the 2012 race & with enough exposure, he could be the next beacon of hope for our country. I personally think Cain/Christie 2012 would be an awesome ticket.

Posted on November 16, 2010 at 9:05amA conservative steps down when their outlook endangers the group. The progressives hold onto any power with a deathgrip and, like Pelosi, have to be pried loose with a crowbar.
