Glenn Beck Joins Keith Ablow on ‘Today’ to Talk About….‘Angry’ Rhetoric

On Wednesday, Glenn Beck appeared alongside co-author Dr. Keith Ablow on the “Today” show to talk about their new book, The 7: Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life. Interviewer Meredith Viera kept the topic about the book initially, although she did point out a couple times how Beck is controversial and a “lightening rod.”
But as predicted, Viera could not conduct the entire interview without bringing up the mainstream media’s obsession with violent rhetoric (it only took four minutes into the nine minute interview). In fact, Beck and Viera had a slightly testy exchange when she tried to corner him about his contribution to angry political speech and insisted on quoting past comments:

Ask most any ignorant child of today where they get their news and they will usually respond John Stewart. And they argue if you try to educate them with the fact that Stewart is nothing more that a cheap comedian. Glenn Beck does not read news, he espouses an opinion, and some of us agree and some us do not. But Stewart’s word seems to be truth, not matter how he twists it for a laugh. And if it wasn’t for Beck, Stewart’s numbers would probably be slashed by half.

There are many people who just take the lamestream media’s word that Glenn Beck is a hater and by appearing on this liberal show he came across poised, caring and the exact opposite of what the shows producers were probably hoping for. There are many who watch this show who may be very liberal yet still honorable people with integrity, those are the people who would come away with a different perspective and be seeing Glenn Beck in a new light. Yes it may be a smaller percentage of the people who watch that show but still well worth his time and effort. Of course there are those far left types that wouldn‘t be convinced of the error of their thinking if Jesus Christ himself appeared to them those are hopelessly deceived and no body is going to change them and Glenn Beck is going to be a hate monger and fool in their eyes no matter what he does short of becoming a leftist which just ain’t gonna happen.

I am glad that she did because he addressed her questions and while doing so showed just how empty the constant complaints by the radical Left against him are. However, we are not to physically hurt another person UNLESS it is to protect ourselves or our families, such as during a home invasion, etc..
The reason is simple and very disturbing. America is fast becoming a post-Christian nation, and as a result, Christianity is coming under increasing attack.
The Secularists and Humanists who are fighting to gain control of our nation hate everything that Christianity stands for — particularly such things as morality, individual liberty, and free enterprise. They are determined to erase all vestiges of Christianity from our social consciousness. Christmas and Easter have been replaced with “Winter Holiday” and “Spring Holiday.” The Ten Commandments have been declared unconstitutional. Prayer and Bible reading have been banned from our public schools. Personal expressions of the Christian faith, like wearing a cross on a necklace or a lapel, have come under attack.
President Obama has started censoring the Declaration of Independence when he quotes it. Instead of quoting in its original form, he deletes any reference to our Creator. Thus, his revised version reads as follows, with the bracketed words deleted: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed [by their Creator] with certain unalienable rights…” This is an outrage. Our natural rights come from God, not government.
The President has also started referring to our “freedom of worship” instead of our “freedom of religion.” This is a deliberate change of words that carries great implications. Freedom of worship means nothing more than the freedom to worship God in the privacy of your home or church. Freedom of religion means the right to exercise your religion publicly.
And then there is the effort on the part of the Secularists and Humanists to limit our freedom of religious expression through the enactment of hate crime laws. The idea is to use these laws to stop Christians from speaking out on moral issues like homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
Christian access to the airwaves is in jeopardy as attempts are made to submit all broadcasting to review by local community boards to assure “balanced expression of opinions.“ Censorship masquerades under the ”fairness doctrine” which would require equal time for all viewpoints. Thus, if a Christian broadcaster were to speak out against abortion, he would have to supply free time on his program, at his expense, for a pro-abortion person to express his views.
Christians are being targeted for harassment. A photographer is sued for discrimination because he refuses to accept a job photographing a same-sex marriage. A woman has legal charges brought against her because she posts a notice on her church’s bulletin board announcing she has a room for rent and is looking for a Christian room mate. Again, she is charged with “discrimination.” University professors are routinely denied tenure because they are Christians.
Meanwhile Hollywood continues to spew forth its venom in the form of movies and television programs that openly mock the Bible, Jesus, and Christians.

The 10 minutes he had to be on the air probably sold 5,000+ books and all he had to do is talk. The kind of people that watch this program probably would have never heard of this book if he did not do this program. Glenn is not dumb. This golden goose could be gone tomorrow and he is collecting as many eggs as he can.

In my opinion: Tragedy struck in Tuscon. A maniac murdered people in cold blood.
Within minutes, the vultures came out. Censorship vultures (of the Shut-Conservatives-Up variety), Gun-Control vultures, Progressive-Agenda vultures, all showed up before the bodies were even cold, trying to get something for themselves from the deaths.
These cheap shots at Glenn show they are still at it. They want him to shut up most of all.
