For anyone who was there or watched it on GBTV, it really is hard to believe that Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Courage” event in Israel really was a year ago. But then again, time has a tendency to get away from all of us.
During his show Friday night, Beck explained that it is as important as ever, if not more so, that Americans stand with Israel as they fight for the right to exist in a region that is literally being torn apart at the seams.
“It is amazing that it was a year ago, I was standing there on holy ground in Jerusalem,” Beck said. “We conducted a series of events designed to demonstrate, unequivocally, that Americans stand with the people of Israel. That we also recognize that old hatreds are rising up once again.”
But, Beck explained, “this time there is a group of people that learned from our mistakes and our sins of the past, and we will not cower in fear… It was the week of Restoring Courage, in ourselves, not for the people of Israel.”

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 6:47pmWHY do I see so much hatred for the Jewish people?? I know all the history and arguments. I have seen the evidence on both sides…STILL WHY? I care NOTHING for hate and division. WE MUST STAND WITH ALL GOOD PEOPLE OF THE WORLD! I have never gotten more flack on a subject. than the flack I receive for my SUPPORT of my Jewish FRIENDS! I STAND with Israel! She has a RIGHT to exist! If you believe she is occupying the Palestinians then why do you not claim the same for the land that both Jordan and Egypt took from the Palestinians? If it is an issue of their belief that they are Gods chosen people and you disagree, then why lend it credence by drawing a line against it? I do not believe that if you do not give your heart to Jesus that you are eternally damned or destine to burn in a lake of fire, but I do not hate Christians. I am a VERY simple Christian myself. Does this make me a bad person? I believe ALL theories have some merit. Why must we believe in Evolution or Creationism and not both? Why does one have to cancel the other out? I am sad to see at this time only 10 comments on this story, half of which are cruel. We should celebrate our diversity and the fact that we can be different and LOVE each other NO MATTER WHAT some negative thought or opinion suggests. THE NEGATIVE THINGS IN THIS WORLD ONLY HAVE POWER, IF WE GIVE THEM POWER! I choose to stand in the light of LOVE, I choose to stand with COURAGE! God bless Mr.Beck and his message, and God bless ALL of you too.

Why Mr. Beck. These zealots continually say this, but never give a sane answer, other than, “Israel is our friend,” which itself is relative.

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 6:02am“Literally torn apart at the seems?” Geographical regions don’t have seems. Tearing them apart can not be literal.
Is there some kind of behind the scene theblaze contest going on for bad writing?
Mr. Howerton is in the running.
Joseph Smith declared himself the King of Israel and The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints was always aligned with Identity Christianity in it’s belief that America is the true Promised Land.
Is Mr. Beck just pandering and doesn’t believe his religions teachings? He announced he opposed any new arms deals to Israel, sales to which the Obama administration has since agreed.
And the old hatreds? How can they rise up when they never went away?
Nonsense expressed in flowery language tearfully delivered is still nonsense.
Why doesn’t Mr. Beck show some courage and say he had a listener supported vacation adventure.

Posted on August 24, 2012 at 11:58pm“Will Israel feel so cornered that it will have to strike out in defense?”
Yes. And why not? Wait for Gaybama to proselytize until Israel’s enemies are ready to strike? Wait for the chance that a friend gets in the White house? That‘s like dialing 911 when you’ve got an armed perp coming up the stairs towards your bedrooms…
