On TV Thursday night, Glenn played a video montage of various faith, political, and economic leaders — in their own words — trumpeting Marxist philosophy. He played it again on radio Friday. We’ve included it below so you can see it again.
Who does it star? There’s Jim Wallis, Donald Berwick, Van Jones, and even President Obama:

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 10:45amPeople wanting to live a counter cultural life style can be traced back a long way to at least the pilgrims and later in our history before the Civil war. There were people who tried to end the economic and social class distinctions between people and upset the traditional norms. They failed miserably even though their intentions were good. Their “perfect” society could not overcome our imperfect nature. No past failure diverts or discourages them, no positive vision of Capitalism makes any difference. Every failure of communal living except those with a Christian base like the Amish or Mennonites eventually was smashed on the anvil of adversity. Some were burned out literally by a fire that came upon a key buildings. They did not believe in insurance. Some people, after selling all they had and turning it over to the group just left after a couple of years. As in any social endeavor some people worked harder than others and eventually, it splits the group when they all get the same or a small social elite re-establishes itself within the group. The artists think that the rest should serve them so that they can commune with the muse. The truly talented eventually expect a superior reward. Back in the good old days, these people were merely dangerous to themselves but this new crop is dangerous to the whole because they seek the power of the government to redistribute (steal under color of law) the wealth and can not see themselves in the rear view mirror of history.

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 12:49pmYes – you make some good points. Our Declaration highlights our rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. I read ‘the pursuit of happiness’ as the right to be all you can be, compete in the marketplace, be an innovator, and pursue my dream. I don’t read it as any guarantee from my government that I will succeed and be prosperous, or that if I fail I can count on a really successful guy to bail me out. There are all sorts of ways to be blessed in this life, and income is just one. It would be nice to see folks come to a point where they are content with the blessings that have been bestowed on them, and realize that their material success in this world depends on their personal abilities and work ethic, and not on handouts from their government.

Posted on October 8, 2011 at 11:13amBig Money is convincing you that you NEED them to have money, and you are believing it!
All we want is for the wealthy to pay a fair percentage. I don’t think this end is achievable by increasing their tax rate, what should be done is remove the loop holes! The truly rich do not even need to make a salary to bring in millions each year – they reinvest their money into other mediums (such as the stock market). Profits on these are only taxed at a portion of what actual income is which means the multi millionaire that invests his money in day trading is paying about half as much as his peer does who gets his money through salary. [citation below]
They are called Capital Gains and they SHOULD BE THE SAME AS ANY OTHER PROFIT. Taxed at the same rate!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax_in_the_United_States
This is just one example of a loop hole that needs plugging. Simplify the system!
That’s what I would be rallying for if I could stand on Wall Street.

The wealthy already pay more than their fair share. The Capital Gains tax rate is not a loophoole. It is an incentive for people who take on the RISK of investing their money since they may lose it.

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 10:44amI fear for my country.
If you take the “meeting young Obama” article by John Drew at American thinker.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/02/meeting_young_obama.html
Add to it his own comments on fundamentally changing the USA. As well as the recent “occupy wall street” and the actions of Harry Reid. It looks like Obama is going to push for his violent overthrow of the US. There is no doubt in my mind he has been working to this goal since 2008. Even a complete idiot with no understanding of the economy by sheer chance could have had at least one success in the time Mr. Obama has spent compounding his failures to make a single change in the direction the economy has taken.
With the funding from Soros and Co. coupled with the amount of time Obama still has in office there is plenty of time for Obama to completely sink the US. The sad part is he is being helped every step of the way by Establishment Republicans.
The really sad part is the people most dependent on the Government support this and have no idea what it would mean to them if the economy completely melted down. In such a situation the producers no matter how charitable would not be able to help them as most if not all of their resources would be dedicated to their own survival. Lord of the flies comes to mind. As an American and a Christian I find this vision of the future appalling to say the least, And knowing the dependents tendencies towards violence when not being rewarded, it scares the hell

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 3:50pmThe plan is for Obama to hand over the US to the UN at Earth Summit +20 June 4, 2012. The initial goal of the Soros backed Agenda 21 in 1992, that George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W Bush have all worked to make this happen, is to have the UN in total world control in 20 yrs. Now Obama is hell bent on making this happen. The US is the key to making this happen. All we need is for all these protests turned riot to give Obama the reason to put in an Executive order to implement Martial Law which would be a guarantee he would call in UN troups to take control and cancel the up coming elections.

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 10:35amThe protests that are happening now are likely the dry run for the riots that will happen when Obama loses Nov 2012. Keep in mind that after Obama loses and the Repubs regain the Senate and up their majority in the House that Obama will still be President for nearly 2.5 months after the election. Once his loss is confirmed in the election that will likely be the trigger that the union organizers use to put the riots, their revolution, into motion because they know a Republican win will close the door on their socialist Utopia, and the ongoing gravy train of subsidies, for decades or more and they won’t want to wait for history to repeat itself. Stock up on food, water and ammo, you have nothing to lose if they end up not being needed since they are all usable items even if the riots do not materialize, but if the riots happen and you are not prepared then I can only hope you get through it safely.

Posted on October 7, 2011 at 2:51pmYes, speculation. Just like how Ron Paul speculated that the economy would collapse and speculated the housing bubble, the tarp and stimulus, the raising of the debt ceiling etc etc . All the while, even up to 2 weeks before the collapse, Herman Cain was writing that the Economy was in GREAT shape. Look back at the start of the Federal income tax, there were some who wanted to put a cap on the percentage to just a few percent, but everyone laughed at them and said the rates would never go up. Look where we’re at today! We are just the blind leading the blind. Let‘s just trust old ex Federal Reserve Herman to make sure this 3 way tax won’t get out of control. lol

I thought I was the only one that noticed Cain switched his retoric from putting the fair tax IN PLACE of the income tax to dumping his whole Fair Tax stance and just ADDING a sales tax. You are spot on that it is just a matter of time till that becomes a 20-20-20 plan, just like the income tax was only supposed to be 1% for most americans.
I was ok with replacing the income tax with the Fair Tax until I heard Ron Paul’s idea of replacing the income tax with NOTHING. His answers are always so simple and spot on.
I find it both amusing and sad when people I try to discuss this with will defend their right to be riped off by the Fed & the IRS. Propaganda sure does work & has created a whole nation of suckers.
WHY NOT STOP LETTING YOURSELVES GET RIPED OFF PEOPLE ????
People just don’t get that the real problem is the federal reserve. It doesn’t matter if we have a dem owned by the fed reserve or a repub owned by the fed reserve. The wars & money printing policies never change. People just can’t seem to grasp just how wealthy they would be if we had sound money.
Ron Paul & Gary Johnson are the only two that get it. The rest are either clueless or bought.
