Beck Takes Pro-Israel Message to NYC Jewish Community: ‘Being Anti-Israel Is Anti-Semitic’

Audio follows below. Additional video and pictures will be added soon.

Gush Katif was a cluster of 21 Israeli communities in the Gaza Strip the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin thought were vital to Israel’s border security. In August 2005, however, under the auspices of then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gush Katif as well as four additional communities in Samaria, thus displacing some 9,000 residents from their homes. Gush Katif was also a thriving agricultural zone with 4,000 greenhouses producing some of the countries best organic produce. After the IDF left, thousands of Palestinians looted the area and laid it to waste.

In order to raise awareness and to prevent further destruction of additional Jewish communities across Israel under the guise of “concessions,” the thriving Jewish community of Crown Heights, Brooklyn hosted a fundraiser for the Gush Katif Museum and to assist traumatized families still reeling from their forced evacuation.

One of the evening’s keynote speakers was none other than Glenn Beck.

Dubbed by those who introduced him a righteous gentile and one of Israel’s “greatest friends,“ Beck spoke to the crowd about both the ”honor“ and ”responsibility” we incur for having been born into these tumultuous times, and noted that it is indeed “1938 all over again.”

The resounding message of the evening was clear: All of Eretz Israel (the land of Israel) belongs to the Jewish people.

(Related: ‘Rainbow in the Night’ First-Ever Holocaust Music Video Released as a ‘Call to Arms’)

He said that while many think him fearless, he is in truth most afraid of the consequences we may suffer for going against God and abandoning a life of uprightness. For Beck, there is no other choice but a path of righteousness. That righteousness is defending the innocent: Israel.

One of the key messages Beck hoped people would take away was a promise to “question with boldness” that which does not sit right with one’s conscience and common sense. He promised that if people were unafraid of such questioning, they would see the truth: that the Obama administration is “no friend of Israel’s.”

Beck, who lauds the righteous gentiles who rescued thousands during the Holocaust, ceded that too many stood idly by, silent. He added that when the Holocaust simply becomes “academic,” we no longer honor those who paid the ultimate price and that history can then easily be repeated. “It’s life, not academic,” Beck said pointedly.

Citing the recent string of vitriolic, anti-Semitic attacks across Midwood, Brooklyn and Rutherford, New Jersey, Beck said that he no longer recognizes his own country. “Evil is growing,” he warned.

Brimming with insightful passages and stories from his many travels — to Israel, the Vatican and even Auschwitz — Beck’s message of standing tall and doing the heavy lifting for what is right resonated with the audience in audible measure.

One instance that drew hearty rounds of approval was when Beck spoke about the new “civil rights movement,” saying that today’s leaders have twisted a noble pursuit into a hatred reserved for all the wrong subjects. Cloaked under the guise of a belief in civil rights, many today will say, “I am not against Jews, just against Zionism.”

“Well,” Beck started, “being anti-Israel, and being anti-Zionist, is anti-Semitism.” He also noted the irony of the fact that it was actually Dr. Martin Luther King who coined that saying and mindset.

For Beck, today’s skewed version of the civil rights movement is a “sham” and a “joke” and is becoming a threat to all humanity. After all, when one compares Israel to an “apartheid state” when there is in fact no shred of truth to the claim, one dishonors those who suffered under apartheid in South Africa and discredits Nelson Mandela’s efforts to bring unity to his country. When one claims Israel is committing “genocide” against the Palestinian people, when in fact they are delivering to them food and aid (even at Israelis’ own peril), one discredits the atrocities occurring in Darfur. The Left says its civil rights leaders care about oppression and human rights, yet mask the instances of rape in their own communities, like Occupy Wall Street. These same “civil rights leaders” also turn a blind eye to the oppression and abuse suffered by women, gays and minorities in the very regions of the world they inexplicably defend.

Beck drew the stark comparison that today’s civil rights leaders are, in fact, no different than the terrorists, dictators and thugs they claim to revile.

Listen to the audio of Beck’s speech below:

In speaking about the faithful, Beck also touched on an unsung hero of the Holocaust – Dietrich Bonhoeffer – a German, Lutheran pastor who wrote a book entitled, Führerprinzip, or Fuhrer Principle. Bonhoeffer was a staunch opponent of the Nazis, and was even involved in the assassination plot against Adolf Hitler. The pastor’s plans were never realized, however, as he was arrested and killed just days before the Nazis surrendered and Hitler, in a cowardly display, committed suicide.

The point Beck made by relaying this poignant story was that in his attempt to “fight the madness,” he often has looked to Bonhoeffer and his resolve to stand tall in the face of evil.

He also conveyed the story of another righteous gentile, a woman simply by the name of Paulina, who, through her belief in God, saved scores of Jews in Poland during the Holocaust by feeding them soup her mother had prepared for them.

When asked by Beck how we, moving forward, can grow the seeds of righteousness in our own lives, Paulina’s answers were simple: “You must believe in something greater than yourself.” That, and sometimes people decide not to barrel ahead “off that cliff.”

“We must hold onto each other,” Beck said, and not lose hold of our humanity.

As Beck touched on both the uplifting and bittersweet snapshots of Israel’s history, he took pause to reflect on the Jewish State’s many enemies. “When Egypt says they are building the ovens. Believe them,” Beck warned. “They say what they mean. They mean what they say.”

Culminating in an emotional moment, Beck believes that Israel’s enemies are enemies of God, and that he has chosen his path of righteousness for his children. “It’s an honor to say my father stood,” he said.

At the end of the day, “If America stops being good, we will meet the same fate as Dietrich Bonhoeffer.”

So, Israel is being blamed for being terrorists? How many times would it take you to walk around the mountain before you decided to obey God? The Jewish people finally got it, and have held the land since that time. There are no Palistinian people. Palistine is a (land), and is occupied by people who are Arabs. Finally the Jewish people who are God’s chosen are living on the land God gave to them. This land will always belong to the Jewish people, and no matter how much of it is destroyed by others, it will never be taken over by another group wanting to claim it. It might be temporally occupied by others, but in the end it will always belong to the Jewish people. God has blessed the Jewish people, (His own), and will keep His word to protect what he has chosen. No one can change what God has spoken. Period……

Well said, Beck! Your children along with many other children who follow your messages today know that you mean what you say. And, if you have to be one voice calling in the wilderness, then, so be it!

Adults should listen to their children’s voices calling for real Human/Civil Rights around the world instead of political civil rights speeches that are as false as Nancy Pelosi speaking for God and the Catholic Church. Our children are more in tuned to God’s messages and his ways than the Adults in the room. .

Reading this blog proves my point. Take the plank out of your eye and investigate your beliefs. You may find that you have been side tracked by the Evil One in your thinking processes!
You think you are Not bias when you are the biggest, bias fool in the room.

    Dear Mr Beck,

There were many Jews who did not follow Moses out of Egypt last time, there will be some this time also! Some like the Pharoah and his ways and mostly only those who have fallen to thier knees for forgiveness will understand. Of course, you have to convince them there actually is a God first, just like the Pharoah himself was not convinced.

Jesus Christ is the son of God, he is God made man, he came to show us the way, to die for our sins. Man has no greater love than to lay down his life for his fellow man. there is no compairison to the egyptian false gods.

For God said that if you do not believe in the Son..then you have no part with me..Jesus/Yeshua came down to earth to be born of woman..removing Himself from the throne..to be placed a little lower than the angels he created…to show us how to live and how we can have eternal life in the kingdom of God…After taking our sins and being crucified..rose the third day and took His place at the right hand of His Father..seated back on the throne..

I personally would define Anti-Russia as being against Russia in all it’s actions and in every way. If you were truly indifferent to Israel you wouldn’t be anti-Israel. I define anti-Israel as actively opposing Israel’s actions regardless of what those actions may be. Based on your past comments, however, I’d say you are far from indifferent towards Israel.

saying that if you‘re against israel you’re anti-semitic is itsel an anti-semitic position. The arabs are semites and it makes arabs and especially arabpalestinians -now occupied-who oppose that occupation and the illigal land grab of 67war-existentially evil.it makes arabs evil just by virtue of being arabs who were displaced by european zionist..if arabs are nazis just by virtue of being in opposition to israeil occupation and land annexation then equating arabs with evil is racist and that is antisemitic.israel is a state and as such people can abhor israel as much as americans abhor other nations.people have the right to believe the creation of the state of israel was unfair and unjust and that its policies today are unjust and should be resisted.even that the state itself-if it persists in believing that jews have more rights to be there then native arabs-is illigitimate. Those are political beliefs based on the policies of that state[a jew from bklyn.can go there and displace a native arab who is not jewish.people have the right to call that tyrannyand to oppose it.Only anti-semites[against arab/muslims] would claim that arabs are racist for holding that view. That belief is racist-not those who oppose it.Beck is buying into the deligitimizing of anyone who speaks out against what would be considered patently racist if done by any other nation.Zionism is anti-semitic-not the indigenous arabs who oppose it.palestinians are occupied and ethnically cleansed by racist zioni

“. . . You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely ‘anti-Zionist.’ And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God’s green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews–this is God’s own truth.

“Anti-semitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know also this: anti-Zionist is inherently antisemitic, and ever will be so.

“Why is this? You know that Zionism is nothing less than the dream and ideal of the Jewish people returning to live in their own land. The Jewish people, the Scriptures tell us, once enjoyed a flourishing Commonwealth in the Holy Land. From this they were expelled by the Roman tyrant, the same Romans who cruelly murdered Our Lord. Driven from their homeland, their nation in ashes, forced to wander the globe, the Jewish people time and again suffered the lash of whichever tyrant happened to rule over them.

“The N e g r o people, my friend, know what it is to suffer the torment of tyranny under rulers not of our choosing. Our brothers in Africa have begged, pleaded, requested–DEMANDED the recognition and realization of our inborn right to live in peace under our own sovereignty in our own country.

“How easy it should be, for anyone who holds dear this inalienable right of all mankind, to understand and support the right of the Jewish People to live in their ancient Land of Israel. All men of good will exult in the fulfillment of God’s promise, that his People should return in joy to rebuild their plundered land. This is Zionism, nothing more, nothing less.

“And what is anti-Zionist? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the Globe. It is discrimination against Jews, my friend, because they are Jews. In short, it is antisemitism.

“The anti-Semite rejoices at any opportunity to vent his malice. The times have made it unpopular, in the West, to proclaim openly a hatred of the Jews. This being the case, the anti-Semite must constantly seek new forms and forums for his poison. How he must revel in the new masquerade! He does not hate the Jews, he is just ‘anti-Zionist’!

“My friend, I do not accuse you of deliberate anti-Semitism. I know you feel, as I do, a deep love of truth and justice and a revulsion for racism, prejudice, and discrimination. But I know you have been misled–as others have been–into thinking you can be ‘anti-Zionist’ and yet remain true to these heartfelt principles that you and I share. Let my words echo in the depths of your soul: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews–make no mistake about it.”

Every time somebody opens his mouth against Zionists or for Palestinian “rights”, just pound them with another Martin Luther King Jr. quote.

      They can call us names:

“How ignorant, narrow minded, and blatantly misleading can you be to suggest a Nation represents a religion or a religion represents a Nation. The state of Israel doesn’t speak for all of Judaism nor even a fraction of it. Judaism is a culture, one that is many thousands of years older than the state of Israel.
I respect almost everyone I’ve ever met, but I can say without a doubt that Glenn Beck deserves none of mine. He is the lowest of the low.”

Bet $1000 that nobody will have the audacity to call Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “ignorant, narrow minded, and blatantly misleading”…

      @TechEngineer.

There are no friends in politics, only temporary associates. – Vladimir Lenin

Of course Israel pursues its own interests first. Of course there is Jewish lobby and stuff. It would be strange if it wasn’t.

Of course the United States should pursue her interests first. The question is “What are our real interests?”

Islam is a cancer growing inside humankind. We are just a host for the ideology which will grow until it consumes everything. Islam has to be eliminated or at least severely restricted, so there are no metastases.

I would take interests of 6 million Jews over even 6 billion Muslims any day.

Too bad Europe became too weak and stopped its colonization and forced Christianization policy. Islam was on the brink, almost eliminated from Africa and Asia. If everybody was converted to Christianity, the world would be completely different today.

P.S. I am not even a Christian. I am an atheist (and rather like ideas of Taoism), so I can objectively compare different religions and ideologies. Islam is simply bad news.

Well explain this to me.. Marxist were directly repsonsible for the murder of over 100 million people in the 20th century alone. Why do you feel that Islam is a more dangerous ideology than Marxism even though the facts don’t support that claim?

Maybe if FOX News and other Jewish Media harped on the dangers of Marxism everyday you‘d understand a little better but since all they promote is the elimination of Islam then that ’s where your primary focus is..

@TechEngineer. Don’t take me wrong. If you read my articles in the past, you would know what I really mean.

I believe there should be REAL freedom of speech unrestricted by political correctness. I believe that all extreme political groups should be able to express their ideas in the open.

Black Panthers should freely express their black racism and hate for whites. Arian Nation should freely express their white racism and hate for blacks. Jewish lobby should freely lobby for Israeli interests, and American patriots should freely express their thoughts as well.

Everybody should be free to speak unless you directly incite violence, of course, because society can not survive otherwise, so a little self-censorship is necessary. Aside from inciting violence, extreme points of view MUST be defined somehow. Society needs ALL points of view.

So, keep opposing too much Israeli influence, I give you permission :-)

@TechEngineer. If you read my articles before, you would know that I hate Marxism (or what is usually labeled as Marxism).

“If they call this Marxism, then I am not a Marxist.” – Karl Marx

I am an expert in Marxist philosophy and political economy. Even Karl Marx later in his life realized that Capitalism is the best possible economic system. Nothing can be more efficient and adaptable. Capitalism is Darwinian evolution in economy. Communism is an ideal society which can NEVER be achieved. According to late period of Karl Marx, communism is a matematical limit of evolution of human society when the time goes to infinity.

Of course I am talking about “free capitalism” and not different kinds of fascism (corporatism) that we have now in America and Europe where the government bureaucracy colludes with mega corporations and lobbyists…

Israel is a terrorist state since the dawn of times and History… read the true History and you will know how they chased the palestinians who used to live in peace from their homes and then pretend it is their land… well let other people live in the land where they used to live and stop the violence… what the Israelite used to do is pure terrorism … i dont get surprised from suicide bombers nowadays… because it is completely comprehensive why they act violently towards jews/israelis … because Israelis of the 1930‘s and 1940’s used to be terrorists themselves…

Imagine NATIVE INDIANS come to your lovely home in new mexico or Nevada and tell you .. this is our father’s land… we need it now … how would you act or feel?

Israel owned the land before it was called Palestine, and when they gave into the British desire to pay back the Arabs who stood with them in WWI took the land from the Jews and gave it to the Arabs. It was even the Jews who relented and asked the British to call the land Palestine. A very tiny area remained and it’s Jewish occupants still called it Israel. The state of Israel was able to allow one fighter pilot to become part of the RAF during the Battle Of Britain. During post WWII the nation began to grow again, and if there was any terrorist activity it was by the Arabs moving into the area who attacked the Jews.

Arabs became violent against the Jews in Palestine first. After being used to Jews being second-class citizens under Ottoman rule, the idea of Jews being equals was unfathomable. Moreover, as the Jews purchased land from the Arab landowners a lot of Arab farm hands lost their jobs. They began rioting and murdering Jews in the 1920s. The Jews formed underground groups to defend themselves from Arab assaults and later to resist the British totalitarian rule over the area. Other than the radical Lechi/Stern’s Gang group, most of these groups weren’t going around slaughtering innocent people in the streets.

God gave a lot more land to Israel than what she now possesses..our previous Presidents have coerced her to give up two thirds of her rightful land to the arabs.. Ron Paul would have never done that..He believes in her right to exist as a nation and her right to defend herself..This was one of my problems with Bush..he wouldn’t allow her to. She practically has no land as it is.. God told the Israili King Saul to wipe Ismael’s people off the face of the earth..men..women, children and even animals..but Saul thought he knew better than God.. The reason God told them to is that the sons of Ismael kept sneaking up on Israeli camps and murdering them.. Before the millenial kingdom..God will gather the nations to go against Israel..this is for judgment against those nations..then Jesus will step in to save her..she will realize that she has pierced her own God..all of Israel will be saved..but the way we understand is that only one third will hold to their newly found faith and the rest will go down.. This is all prophesied in Zech 12 13 and 14 Muslims are invited into the kingdom..but they must first renounce their religion and come into full acceptance of Jesus/Yeshua as the only begotten Son of God and the only way to the Father..realize that he was born of a virgin..was crucified and died for our sins..rose the third day and still lives..they have the same invitation that we all do..to eternal life in the kingdom of God..

That is tyranical and racism and israel will say or do anything to deny that reality. The zionists are trying to pretend arabs were never there and that jews were always there. They even appropriated arab food and now call it israeli-like jews from poland were eating hummus.they changed the names of arab towns to israeliones and wilol lie and tell you they were always there. All towns were aarabic named and the zionists lie and tell us they wern’t.Zionists want over time the displaced arabs to disappear but they won’t .So they discredit them by calling them anti semites when it is the zionists who are anti semites[against arab] as they insist on having a majority jewish state and displaced the non jewish semite[arabs].even arab jews are discriminated The world is not fooled -but the zionist infested american media has brainwashed the mallable gulls

Buying land does not mean you are morally allowed to create a nation where only those who bought the land[other european zionists] are allowed to live and the others are ethnically cleansed.yes the european zionists by hook and by crook aquired land in arab homelands. Then they got a jewish state out of it where a jew from bklyn had the right to live there and a native arab had to be expelled.that is blatant racist ethnic cleansing.back when the UN was a colonialists club this was allowed to happen.no one took into account that those displaced arabs would still be here 60-yrs. later. the idea was they would disapear into other arab lands.[whose borders were likewise determined by western colonialists] They didn’t disappear. They resisted and are still demanding their right to not be ethnically cleansed from their homeland. They have made the great concession since 67-of being willing to have a separate state side by side israel if isreal returns to the original 67border.The israelis want no concession but want them to disapear into arab lands. Then they can say over time that they-the zionists had been there all along. The arab palestinians are a testament to the reality that zionism was a european land grab and that the natives who were cleansed were arabs[some jewish, some christian and some muslim].but not european.israel wants to rewirite history and they can’t till those darn arab palestinians disapear into the woodwork of other arab lands!

The low passes were made long before the attack by different pilots. The higher ups marked the ship on their map but removed the marker when they could no longer be certain of its location. Thus while the ship had been identified, that information didn’t reach everyone. When the attack began it was ordered by people who hadn’t received the information. The ship was traveling slowly so its flag may not have been visible due to lack of wind. All of your evidence supposes that the military works like a machine that never messes up. The military is made of people who screw up sometimes. Deal with it.

You believe our sailors? Our sailors were so convinced it was done on purpose that they didn’t return fire throughout the entirety of the attack, with the exception of a few shots fired at the torpedo boats early on. You still have yet to explain why Israel would attack an American ship on purpose. Believing our sailors accounts is different then believing that Israel knew exactly what the Americans thought they knew.
“Waving in the wind”? I specifically said that the ship was traveling slowly, meaning there MIGHT have not been enough wind. Pilots generally follow orders to attack when they are given because they assume their commanders know what their doing. When the attacking planes realized it was an American ship they stopped their attack.
Here’s a good question: if the Liberty was traveling near an active war zone, why were they “sunbathing on the deck”? Sounds like poor judgment on someone’s part.

@TZION Yes I believe our sailors…you don’t? The USS Liberty was an intelligence gathering ship, it is conjecture that they attacked the Liberty because of ‘intercepted communications’ that the Israeli’s thought the US was going to give Egypt…again conjecture.
If this was a case of ‘mistaken identity’ then who did the Israeli’s think they were attacking? Did they attack an unidentified ship…in international waters; which explains the sunbathing. And Yes I did say the flag was WAIVING in the wind as described by the sailors…and it was a freshly put up clean LARGER flag for the aircraft to view along with the GIGANTIC clearly visible lettering on the ship. Many in our own government (Admirals, generals, NSA) said this was NOT a case of mistaken identity. Our ships were clearly RECOGNIZABLY different than other ships. Keep in mind the aircraft took out their communications first, brought in torpedo boats, then come in the helicopters to finish off any survivors. Then the crew was BANNED from talking about the incident. This was very well executed and NO accident IMO and the opinion of the sailors. Lots of conflicting data between the ‘mistaken identity’ case and actual facts and evidence. The Israeli’s clearly knew what was going on.

Then again…you could just watch the EYE WITNESS interviews of the crew.

Why should the US defend Israel at all costs? What do they manufacture, own,or posses that makes them so valuable? They have the bomb and do not allow any world, or governing agency to inspect their nuclear arsenal. With their nuclear weapons they pose an unfair threat to their Arab neighbors. If they were serious about not wanting Iran to develope a nuclear defensive capability they would destroy their nuclear stockpiles! Considering they are covered under they umbrella of our (Americas) nuclear shield they DO NOT need nuclear weapons! Any strike against them would result in an overwhelming retaliatory strike by us! Besides why does the fable in the bible make them so much more valuable than any other country? There is no basis in fact to any of Beck’s rantings and ramblings of their significance in history. Prove it! You can not. Why don’t we look at Greece the same way based on the Illead, or Scandanavia based on Norse mythology? How about Mexico/Central America based on Aztec and other ancient teachings? They are protected due to their domination of the worlds financial, institutions they produce nothing but are only sponge and leech off of the American taxpayer, we as a nation would be better off siding with their Arab neighbors (who at least have oil that we need). TodTorg says “Why should the US defend Israel at all costs? What do they manufacture, own,or posses that makes them so valuable?” Answer: They share our core principles in a land that doesn’t; where anti American / anti American principles sentiment is massive. Even Presidents Washington, Adams & Jefferson had to deal with our merchant ships being attacked & our people being called infidels! Threats from the area are FAR greater NOW.

TodTorg says “They have the bomb and do not allow any world, or governing agency to inspect their nuclear arsenal. With their nuclear weapons they pose an unfair threat to their Arab neighbors. If they were serious about not wanting Iran to develope a nuclear defensive capability they would destroy their nuclear stockpiles!” No need to inspect. We sold them the stockpiles. They are self defense, not aggression.
TodTorg says “Considering they are covered under they umbrella of our (Americas) nuclear shield they DO NOT need nuclear weapons! Any strike against them would result in an overwhelming retaliatory strike by us! ” What good would THAT do AFTER they are destroyed?!!

Even if dissenters want to disregard the Biblical angle to the issue just work this from a secular perspective, they should still be responsible enough to admit that the international community returned these people to their historic homeland and the international community needs to defend the people whose situation we share responsibility for .

TODTORG, First, I must confess that I see no way to prove to you the bible and such religious teachings really stand for anything. It is a matter of faith and you have painted yourself into a corner of total disbelief. So be it for you then. As far as Eichman wanting to move, or shall I say exile all Jews where they would be no bother to the Fatherland. That was the intent. Oddly enough, do you have an understanding of how the Palestine of Post WWI came to be? In the 1830s European and Russian Jews wanted to leave those countries and return to area of Israel as it was known in biblical times. Obviously things moved slower then than they do today, but funds were eventually pooled and the then unoccupied land began to be purchased from the Ottoman Empire/Turkey. The eventual migration was interrupted by the hostilities of WWI and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. The Arabs who took up with the British and lead by Lawrence Of Arabia were given those lands by the British even with the protests of the owners of the land. The Jewish people relented but asked the British to call it Palestine. Not until that time were their ever any Islamic Palestinians. In the biblical days Palestine was populated by the Philistines. While the outside world called the land Palestine, it became Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other nations and there was never an established Palestinian government.

Now, why would the British protest the exile of Jews to nations that they had helped establish? It would cause massive upheaval by essentially jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Eichman knew what he was doing and could say that Germany had nothing to do with the eventual extermination of the European Jews.
As for the U.S. standing behind Israel the simple truth is that we have such treaties with them. Just as we have with Great Britain, and so many other countries. We have vowed to stand with them if attacked. It just strikes me as peculiar how you single out that one country with your desire to throw it to the wolves. Tell us why please. Why that one country? Or, do you have in mind other countries where we should abandon our treaties?

Might I suggest, however, that we look for a new homeland for the Jews, one which will not cause war, hatred, or bloodshed? If America thinks that the Jews need a homeland, WE should give them a slice of America. Yes, I have several sites in mind, locations where Jews would be welcomed. Imagine all of the money that we could save, by simply giving the Jews a small slice of America. This is not as far fetched as it seems. It needs to happen now.

The plane was so close to the ship the deck plates rattled…and the sailors even waived. I suggest you watch the testimony of the sailors who were forbidden to talk about the incident. Quite a different story than what our government leads us to believe. I believe the sailors…NOT our government.

I have done a great deal of research on the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty.
Israel can NOT claim mistaken identity was to blame.
The Israeli fighter aircraft did a fly-by of the Liberty before they attacked it.
After the first attack/strafing of the ship the sailors raised a larger US Flag to better identify themselves to the aircraft.
After that the Israeli fighter aircraft returned and attacked the Liberty again.

The sailors on the U.S.S. Liberty did not fire first at the Israeli aircraft. They were sun-bathing on deck and having fun.
When word got back to Fleet HQ about the attack a search and rescue mission was ordered, after Johnson had heard that Israel had attacked he postponed the search and rescue mission. It was the first time in US military history that a search and rescue mission to save American military personal had ever been postponed.

The tragedy of the USS Liberty cannot be hashed out here by a few armchair commandos. Track down and read as many of the accounts of that day as you can. Yes, the Liberty was overflown approx 8 times by Israeli aircraft hunting for Egyptian subs. It was in the early morning hours when the destroyer was first reported and am not certain by the accounts that I have read that the U.S. flag was first spotted. IAF ground forces plotted the ship with a red marker on their charts, meaning that it was an unknown. The further flyovers likely lulled the American crew to believe they had been determined to have been friendly. Some of the close flying aircraft’s crews even waved at the Americans. Later an Israeli aircraft claimed to have been fired on by a craft in the area. Ground crews seeing the RED/unknown marker on their charts sent attack aircraft who fired on the Liberty. I have read and studied this incident for decades and have never determined any reason that the Israelis would have attacked a known American ship. The attack itself was deliberate, but I blame what we now call the fog of war for the incident. Can I say this with absolute certainty? No. Do I see any reason for Israel to attack any American in the area, a country who was in support of Israel? No. I can only state in my humble opinion that is was a mistake. But, you tin hat conspiracy theorists can keep deluding yourselves.

Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty.[5] Attack survivors contacted in 2007, by John M. Crewdson for a Chicago Tribune article about the attack, “to a man” rejected Israel’s mistaken identity explanation.[6] Lt. Gen. Marshall Carter, the director of the NSA, told Congress that the attack “couldn’t be anything else but deliberate.”[6] The deputy director of the NSA, Louis Tordella, stated that the attack “might have been ordered by some senior [Israeli] commander on the Sinai Peninsula who wrongly suspected that the Liberty was monitoring his activities.”[6] In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 (US$22.2 million in 2012) as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, under threat of a congressional investigation,[7] it finally agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the final U.S. bill of $17,132,709 for material damage to the Liberty itself plus 13 years’ interest.[8]

During the morning of the attack, early June 8, the ship was overflown by Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft including a Nord Noratlas “flying boxcar” and Mirage III jet fighters eight times.[20][21] At least some of those flybys were from a close range.[22] Many Liberty crewmen gave testimony that one of the aircraft flew so close to Liberty that its propellers rattled the deck plating of the ship, and the pilots waved to the crew of Liberty, and the crewmen waved back.[23] The aircraft were hunting for Egyptian submarines, which had been spotted near the coast.[24]

USS Liberty is trivia at this point.

Only the most desperate of haters brings up the conspiracy theory, let alone continues to distort the facts.

      C.I.A. report…June 13, 1967…”No malice; attack a mistake”
      U.S. Navy Court of Inquiry…June 18, 1967…. “Mistaken identity”
Report by Clark Clifford…July 18, 1967…“No evidence ship was known to be American”
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence…1979/1981 “No merit to claims attack was intentional”
      National Security Agency….1981 “Mistaken identity”
House Armed Services Committee….1991/1992 “No support for claims attack was intentional”

Oh and the USS Liberty FIRED FIRST according to Cdr. McGonagle.
It was friendly fire. It happens. It was an error. Stop exploiting it, because you hate Israel.

I stand with Israel. For those of us who believe in God and His purposes, we understand that His COVENANT (not “contract”) with Israel is under His terms, FOREVER. He gave this faithful people a strip of land for their use into perpetuem. Christian replacement theology has assisted in the mistaken thinking that the Jewish people “don’t count” anymore. However, again, God’s take on this was FOREVER.

Secular Jews do not understand their heritage, do not care about religious perspective (like many others who say the Bible is nothing but myth). But to those of us who’s eyes have been opened by Faith, we see through God’s eyes.

I don‘t want anyone’s sons to have to go to war with anyone else. But others want to fight about things, so we are called on to defend.

May God open more eyes to truth, help us in this time of extreme insanity, and bring His Kingdom on Earth. Maranatha!

Is it irrational, to think that a President, who attended a church ,where the pastor referred to Jews as “that dirty word”, may harbor ill will towards “rich” Jews?

It’s insanity that the Communist Left supports a State of Palestine, when it has never existed. Arafat made up the Palestinians because Jordan didn’t want to care for the Arabs that lived in Israel. These People are Arabs, not Palestinians, since there has never been an established State of Palestine. There’s a City named Palestine, but not a Country – State. It’s also interesting that Jews and Arabs share much of the same DNA. Yes, the Jews and Arabs are relatives.

You have yet to prove that an ethnic cleansing occurred as you say it did. You have yet to prove that the Palestinians would accept the 1948 armistice line as permanent borders. If that were true, why did Hamas initiate rocket attacks AFTER Israel withdrew from Gaza, which this event commemorated? Surely, if Israel was finally giving in to their demands, they might consider offering something in exchange. Peace for instance. Instead they continued to attack. From Israel’s perspective, they gave Hamas what they said they wanted and Hamas gave them nothing in return. If Giving them Gaza doesn’t even improve relations, why would giving them the rest do any differently? Actions speak louder than words and theirs have nothing nice to say.

This is what happened; We gave up our national sovereignty because some believe God wants us to support everything that Israel does. The last time I checked, Israel was the object of scorn by God when they were messing up throughout all of the Old Testament, and the object of love when they were doing what is right. Judah is only 1/12 of the tribes of Israel, there are eleven other tribes. Read Rev. 2:9 and Rev. 3:9, if it peaks your interest when you do your homework you will have the Key of David which opens doors no man can shut and closes doors no man can open…

Supporting Israel doesn’t mean agreeing with them. By support most if us mean respect their right to exist and defend themselves. By support we mean don’t boycott Israeli universities like many colleges are doing. I support Israel while simultaneously criticizing their model of government for actively encouraging corruption. I wasn’t too happy with the Gaza withdrawal either. It accomplished nothing and displaced many Jews from their homes and businesses. Support doesn’t have to cost you a penny. If that’s too much to give, then you might just be anti-Israel.

Boy…. Sounds like the old saying, “ if your against the war then you are unpatriotic”

Glenn. Ever since you got on the whole “Stand with Israel” kick I have lost favor with you. Its not that I have anything against Israel either. I don’t care one way or the other. I personally think Israel and her 100+ nukes can take care of herself perfectly fine.

The only reason why he’s doing this Israel rant thing is because of the media unfairly calling him anti semetic for going after Soros.

Seriously Glenn, I loose faith that you are an honest person each and every day…….

    “BEING ANTI-ISRAEL IS ANTI-SEMITIC”

Didn’t I say that is what this forum believes? I love it when I’m right!

How ignorant, narrow minded, and blatantly misleading can you be to suggest a Nation represents a religion or a religion represents a Nation.

He is the lowest of the low.

Demonizing Israel or calling for its destruction are views that reek of antisemitism. Being Anti-Israel means being against the existence and sovereignty of Israel. Why would someone who wasn‘t antisemitic call for Israel’s annihilation?

      Judaism isn’t a culture, it’s a religion, and it’s people have a distinct culture…not vice versa.
At the core of Judaism is a belief in Zionism, and a concept of Israel. Virtually every Jewish custom pays tribute to this concept. Opposing Zionism, the form of Jewish patriotism, is anti-Jewish.

If you chose to reject the religion, as a non-believer, and apostate you can still relate to other facets of the heritage, like the culturally Jewish aspects. Don’t pretend that defines a Jew though. Its’ the Torah, and the Covenant with G-d, not the bagel.

Being against Zionism or the state of Israel is not antisemitic. This is like saying being against the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi skinheads will be anti white and anti christian; the same cane be said with being against the Nation of Islam, the Black Hebrew Israelites will be anti black, and countless other racist and cult groups. I would be consider Jewish by birth because my mom is Jewish. But I do not support the crimes of Israel. Yes, many Muslims countries are not as perfect and are worse of. But I refuse to pick the lesser of two evils. Please open your eyes and fix the world.

I respect your views however I would say that there is a difference between being against Zionism and being an anti-Zionist. The first just doesn’t support Israel or disagrees with the idea of Jews settling in Israel. Being anti-Zionist, in my opinion, means actively opposing the idea of Jews having a state and denouncing Israel and saying it doesn’t deserve to exist. Most people I’ve seen who would call themselves anti-Zionists subscribe to the latter views. You don‘t support Israel’s policies, but you wouldn’t necessarily hold that against its citizens. Anti-Zionists would claim that all Israelis are evil oppressors and have brought all these terrorist attacks upon themselves. THAT is antisemitism.

“fix the world” I see what you did there. Tikkun Olam brother.

The fact that no one else picked up on that is telling of just how disconnected the readers of this forum are from Jewish life. You can cry “stand with Israel” all you want, but the second you start labeling people by that position is the second you show your true – ignorant – colors.

I am a Jew, and I disagree with a lot of what Israel is doing.
Go on Beck, call me anti-semetic.

Yeah, chameleonx. How “evil” of Israel’s people to allow the Muslims on THEIR Lands, when the Muslims refuse to even acknowledge the right of Israel to exist. I’m not Jewish, but I believe that a Nation that has been around for 63 years, (in modern times) has a right to exist.

Disagreeing with Israel doesn’t make you anti-Israel. Calling for Israel’s annihilation is anti-Israel. I’m pro-Israel even though I don’t agree with all its policies. I doubt anyone who opposes the actions of the US government would be labeled anti-American. If, as Glenn himself said, we are not our government, then it stands to reason that Israelis are not their government.

It’s “1938 all over again” because, like every 100 years or so, people rise up against the Jews. Seems to be all throughout history of people turning on Jews. I think the latest uprising is people are sick of their leftist, communistic ways while hoarding all the money while running the puppet strings of America. Just look at who Obama has support from some political pack in Hollywood…two Jews (one of which is Steven Spielberg). Look at who most of the radical Marxists were in the 1960s….Jews. They have their paw prints all over leftists causes. I think that’s why a lot of people are waking up (again) to them and their sneaky, underhanded ways. They’re sick of being fed propaganda by leftist, Jewish run media like ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc. Their sick of leftist, degenerate and gay loving Hollywood being run by Jews. Until Jews stop being being behind the curtain on Bolshevik causes….while at the same time being the owners of the means of production, then I’m not going to be a Jew lover. Has nothing to do with their religion or ethnicity. Just has to do with them and their supporting leftist, degenerate causes in the US.

Silly, you’re writing about the non-religious Jews. They consider theirselves to be Jewish, but they don’t practice the Jewish religion. I adore Steven Spielberg for what he has created for entertainment, but I don’t give any credence to his politics. He lives in the unreal world of Hollywood, which isn’t actually “real life.”

There are a lot of Jews who have no clue what it is to be Jewish. There are Jews who actually practice Judaism and there are those who merely live the stereotype of what they think it is to be Jewish. Also there are those who are self-loathing. I have never really understood that group but those are dangerous and they seem to be able to get support from the “stereotypical” Jews and that creates a large culture of useful idiots. It is clear however that antisemitism is a very widespread condition and it does no good for any people anywhere.

It is foolish to lump all Jews into one category based upon the political beliefs of the few Jews that you’ve read about. It is the same as thinking all Christians have the same political beliefs… You need to broaden your thinking as well as the sources from which you are forming your opinions.

I am not an AJ disciple…nor am I a Becker, but I do believe AJ would win in a battle of words with Glenn. I get some news off both sites. I would say that Glenn is very misleading and likes to tell half and partial truths. Not sure the same could be said about AJ. However if you do know of AJ (or someone else who knows) telling half, and partial truths PLEASE let me know.
