Glenn Weighs in on ‘N17’: Occupy Honors Communist, Terrorist Group

Glenn Beck Weighs in on Occupy N17

Thursday’s Occupy Wall Street protests have been coined “N17” in many of the movement’s promotional materials. Seems innocent enough, right?

During his radio broadcast earlier in the morning, Glenn Beck points out the fact that “N17” is actually the name given to an infamous Greek terrorist group responsible for some 23 murders and over 100 attacks and kidnappings.

Glenn also notes that while many in the U.S. may not be familiar with the Greek terrorist outfit, people across Greece and Europe know much about the Marxist, America-hating N17.

Glenn’s co-host Stu Burguiere posted some additional insights into the self-proclaimed communist group on his blog, shedding light on some very disturbing facts about N17, including its hand in the murder of a U.S. Navy captain and defense attache:

The organization’s first known attack came in December 1975, when the CIA’s Athens station chief was shot with a .45-caliber pistol, November 17’s favorite weapon. Since then, the group has claimed responsibility for twenty-one murders, including the killings of a U.S. Navy captain, a U.S. defense attaché, a Turkish diplomat, and a British defense attaché. November 17’s initial attacks were directed at senior U.S. officials and Greek public figures, but during the 1980s the group expanded its operations to include bombings of ordinary citizens and property.

The Greek N17 was spawned in part to retaliate a student uprising at Athens Polytechnic University on November 17, 1973. 20 students were killed when Greek army tanks rolled in to suppress the protests. Stu and Glenn both note that tanks are a central theme of the new Occupy N17 posters, which are also evocative of many Communist-era propaganda pieces.

    Mr Beck finally said something humorous: that the protest date to shut down Wall Street means that the current worldwide awakening to the thievery of the majority by a small majority is a spinoff of a historical Greek terrorist group.
    The logic is the same as saying:

    Chicken Little, the cartoon character, said the sky is falling.
    Mr. Beck says the sky is falling.
    Therefore Mr. Beck is a cartoon character.

    If Mr. Beck continues to write such funny stuff he will soon get 3 minutes on The Tonight Show and maybe even a seat on the couch.

She over heard some mindless twit stating that Mr. Beck is a wrech because he wants every one to believe exactly as he does. Oh she was fit to be tied, “Stop right there.       The name N17 was first used by Greek law enforcement agencies to refer to a group of people, so actually the worldwide economic protests were instigated by the Hellenic Police.

SS and Medicare are still solvent, so they are obviously not the current problem. Defense is by far the biggest part of the budget when you remove SS and Medicare, both of which are supposed to be paid separately. And keep in mind how much money, physicians, pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment companies make off Medicare. Your ideology is as unfounded as it is superficial.

      What really amazes me is that people attribute lunacy to Glenn. But, Glenn doesn’t think this stuff up! He OBSERVES it and shares his INSIGHT with us! He is inquisitive and he has his staff look for EMPIRICAL data! When he finds it, it is just a piece of a complex puzzle. He looks at it, turns it, attempts to fit it together and until it does, it is just noise, like most of our ‘news’! But, when the pieces fall into place, and ONLY fit one way, POW, a picture emerges that is as clear as can be!       Why do the protesters use N17? Is it just accidental coincidence? I learned through litigation “There is no coincidence”! While that might not be true 100% of the time, it surely deserves the utmost scrutiny! And, when ALL the pieces fit together one way and ONLY one way, rest assured there is more going on than ‘coincidence’! Beck has said, repeatedly, just LISTEN to their words!     In the Mid 70′s I was a young soldier stationed in Europe. We were constantly on alert because of the Red Army Faction (aka Baader Mienhof) Terrorists. They were responsible for the kidnap and murder of bankers and CEOs, the assassination of businessmen and the bombing of a US military facility.They even attacked a US military depot in an attempt to get a nuke. Their “platform” was the same as the OWS idiots, but they took it to the next level. The question is, how long before we have a resurgence of this type of activity. RAF in one form or another was active until the mid 90′s. We have to ask ourselves if there are people in the OWS movement who are that committed. I would argue that there are. I know there are cells (and I am not not talking about jihadis) out there now that are simply biding their time waiting for the right moment to commence operations. I would guess that they have folks in the OWS movement acting as instigators, trainers and leadership. The communists, marxists and anarchists are NOT bashful about the use of violence. They believe they are right about the issues of corporate greed. They are the foundation of the groups that protest all of the meetings such as the WTO, G8, G20 etc. How else do you think they can pull off protests worldwide when these meetings occur. Intel meetings prior to the Global Financial Conferences mention the names of the same players, no matter where the conferences take place…coincidence? Question, is who funds them?

      I disagree with Glenn. OWS is using commie nomenclature — N17 for November 17 – to mark a “memorable” date in their calendar of anarchic or terrorist activity, so this is a mere coincidence. Sometimes ommie revolutionaries choose to name themselves after a “memorable” date, which is what the Greek terrorist group N17 did. It appears that OWS has already chosen their official name –although it may change when these commies transition to the next phase — so in this case the N17 simply signaled their so-called “day of action.”

      Well then, PENAF, you better hope that we can reclaim the U.S. Senate and the White House next year and spend the following four years repealing all of the executive orders bHo has signed. And hope to give Congress one last opportunity to pass a law which disenfranchises obamacare (because we all know how the Supreme Court is going to rule on its constitutionality next Spring, don’t we?). And also giving Congress one last opportunity to straighten out things involving immigration and our right to bear arms.

      The reason I say “one last opportunity” is because if the Republicans are given another term and, as always in the past, screw us again, it will be the last time. The next election will definitely see a three-party election and, from there on, anything is bound to happen (none of it for the good).

      Despite the above, I still expect that bHo and his international ilk will be fanning flames increasingly through 2012, leading up to a much-wanted declaration of an exigency. That will allow the President to function as a dictator with his government lackies. Congress will be irrelevant (actually, they are right now). Then, you should be heartily surprised if there are national elections in November 2012. I know I will be surprised.

      The show that woke me up was when he said the group called ‘The Oath Keepers’ that wants to support police, military etc that take an oath to defend the constitution/freedoms/The Law etc were a bunch of kooks.       Bill O’Reilly is caught in denial! His ‘formula’ has worked for so many years, he thinks it is gospel! We’re all a bit guilty of that! For some reason, maybe Beck’s brain works better for all the solvent it has processed, but he is willing to see the news, the data as a big, mixed up puzzle, (say, mix the pieces from 100, 5,000 piece puzzles, printed on both sides, and THAT is the available news. Beck picks up the pieces and looks for patterns! When he finds them, BINGO, THE TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA–it is simply, the truth! Bill is still lost in understanding, in interpreting, in playing the game, in pontificating! It is his comfort zone! Beck lost his comfort zone in AA, and it has set him free–free to describe what he sees! If you disagree, challenge it–and back it up with facts! I think O’Reilly knows that he is missing something, but he doesn’t have the courage or vision to jump the wall-yet! Bill, nothing personal–I’m rooting for you!       I wish it were that easy. The POTUS is not elected by popular vote. All the votes in the world don’t matter. In all reality, your vote doesn’t even count. Sorry, but the truth is, the electoral college is not even chosen by the voters in each state.       I am very glad glenn chose to move to Texas, At least here, when a man looks you in the eyes and shakes your hand, he intends on keeping his word. glenn I am a follower & studier of history, as should we all. Your good research has helped me find many an enjoyable read.
      The “Education” they give in schools is completely removed from what might actually give a child or young adult “Intelligence”.
      “Educated is to memorized” as “Intelligence is to solving”.

      The reason we are in this trouble is because over the years we the people as a whole allowed our government to function without fully participating ourselves other than to vote. I have had forebodings since the first time an American citizen was attacked for asking a candidate a question. That was Joe the Plumber. Also knowing that “fundamentally changing America” did not bode well for us. And until Glenn moved to Fox I still did not understand how we got this way. I believe more people are awakened but some are just now catching up. You are not alone.

      Thank you each, sincerely, for your remarks and kind support. I have posted on The Blaze before, and have been literally smacked down for my opinion by fellow conservatives. Can’t remember what it was, but it sure kept me away fo a while. Anyway, thanks again for your words of encouragement. I am a former active Army soldier, Jesus loving, gun/pawn shop owning, postal working, chubby, conservative, freedom loving woman who fly fishes a lot. I have been listening to Glenn since about 2002 or 2003. I trust him and appreciate the directions he points us in. I guess I just get tired once in a while, but you are all so right…time to rest up and get ready, because we’re going to be needed to guide those who currently have their heads in the sand out of the darkness. I am grateful for that opportunity, and pray to God that he will help me to prepare for the things I’ll be called upon to do.
