Global Day of Rage: Reporting Inside NYC’s Massive Occupy Times Square March

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

Occupy Wall Street protesters fill Times Square for a rally Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 mixing with gawkers, Broadway showgoers, tourists and police to create a chaotic scene in the midst of Manhattan. . The Occupy Wall Street demonstrators had marched north through Manhattan from Washington Square Park earlier in the afternoon. Once in Times Square, they held a rally for several hours before dispersing. Over the course of the day, more than 70 people were arrested. (AP Photo/David Karp)

By the time I infiltrated the drum circles and sing-alongs of Occupy Wall Street early this afternoon, there had already been reports of offshoot protests in more than 80 countries, including China, Japan, Indonesia, and England. The frightening mob violence in Rome, with flame-engulfed cars shown on every cable news channel, set an ominous tone for the day.

After all, Rome was just a satellite protest. The Occupy main event was set to be New York City’s Times Square.

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square MarchI linked up with a contingent of Zuccotti Park Occupiers in Washington Square around 2:00PM. It was a leftist protest version of a tailgate party, with all the various factions joining together before the big Times Square event. Many of them tried to outdo one another for media attention. Lots of placards, lots of slogans, and endless interview soundbites for international journalists.

It felt like they were preparing for radicalism’s Super Bowl.

At this Washington Square protest pre-party, the litany of leftist causes was on full display. The disparate grievances, as the blaze has covered in the past, have only one commonality: strident progressivism. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

If you are a leftist and want the international media to ask you questions and photograph your home-made signs, today was your big day. Whether you hate capitalism, the Tea Party, or just successful people in general, never before has it been so easy to be heard around the globe.

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square MarchThe assembly at Washington Square allowed me to speak with all the different protest factions. So I have decided to break down the protest group by group:

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square MarchWall Street “Fat Cats and Pigs”: The anti-bankster crew is a mainstay at all the Occupy protests. Class warfare is at the heart of the entire Occupy movement, so effigies of bankers and costumes of wall street pigs are standard fare.

Dazed and Confused College Kids: Also present from the beginning on September 17th, the college kids– most of whom just graduated and don’t have jobs– are among the most passionate, and most incoherent– of all the protest factions. I spoke with several today who were furious with banks about their student loan programs, but not the colleges and universities that set exorbitant prices. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

Socialists/Communists/Anarchist: The storm troopers of the Occupy movement, the statists and anti-statists have linked arm-in-arm (literally) to bring down the system as we know it. Whenever I talk to these guys, they are quick to rail against capitalism. More than any other group, they openly call for the collapse of the financial system, the end of America as we know it, and the The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square Marchimplementation of a marxist mobocracy.

In a poignant moment, a petite, sweater and nose-ring clad socialist woman handed me a pamphlet on Marxism, and told me that “occupation is not revolution. The revolution comes later.”

Free Palestine/ Divest Israel: There have been hints of anti-semitism at the protests over the past couple of weeks, and now the anti-Israel crowd has shown itself more openly. The connection between bank bail-outs and Palestine is non-existent, but of course anyone who dislikes Israel feels at home in the Occupy crowd. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

Unions, Community Organizers: They kept a low-profile in the beginning, but now there are union signs and members sprinkled throughout every Occupy protest in NYC. They are helping organize the movement and teaching others how to wield mob power. These guys want their cut, and if the system comes down, they are organized and ready to throw their weight around to get it.

Obama’s Stealth Partisans: There were plenty of “pass the jobs bill” and “healthcare for all” signs at the rally. A group of white-coated protestors called “Physicians for a National Health Program” gathered and gave speeches about medical care as a basic human right. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

The stealth partisans particularly interest me. The most obvious intellectual flaw in the entire Occupy movement is the deafening silence about Obama and the White House. It’s as if the protestors are fighting against a make-believe political party called “Evil Banksters.”

In reality, every single protestor I spoke to today, and the many other times I have visited with the Occupiers, voted for Barack Obama. What’s even more astounding is, they all seem to plan to vote for Barack again– at least the ones who want there to be another election. And that group is smaller than you might think.

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square MarchZombies, Provocateurs and Party Hopping Tourists: The zombie protestors mingled with the crowds today, as did Gucci and Prada-clad foreign tourists and neighborhood liberals looking for some action on a Saturday afternoon.

These are the people that you will often encounter who make Occupy seem innocuous. But they aren’t sleeping on the ground at Zuccotti Park, haven’t started clashes with police, and bring no strategic input to the movement. They are window dressing for the real revolutionary impulses that drive the crowd.

In any event, once I had chatted with the various leftist teams and heard their grievances, it was time to march. They strolled up 6th Avenue, all the way to Times Square. I hopped a subway.

I was waiting in Times Square as the march and the major crowds arrived. The protestors were in the thousands and spread out, so the tactics I had witnessed at past events– finger signals and human megaphones– were now useless. The protest stretched across Times Square and quickly filled up both sides of Broadway. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

One of the most interesting visuals was a large model of a predator drone next to a sign that said  ”Jobs for All, Public Works Now.” There were other placards in the crowd that referred to predator drone terrorism.

Yet there was no criticism of the current administration, which has dramatically increased the scope of the drone program. The protestors were happy to rail against drones as though nobody in particular is in charge of them, while pushing a major component of the current Democrat party platform– infrastructure jobs spending. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

There were no keynote speakers on podiums this time around. No talk of future plans for the movement or solutions. The chants were familiar– “We are the 99%,“ ”This is what democracy looks like,“ and ”Occupy everything.” Drum circles pounded their loudest to excite pockets of the massive crowd, and media swarmed everywhere. Ultimately, the gathering was meant more for the media than any one particular cause or group. Images of a packed Times Square were live-streamed all around the world. There may have been 80 others like it, but Times Square has a special symbolism for those who want to bring about global change.

The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

Once in Times Square, they held a rally for several hours before dispersing. Over the course of the day, more than 70 people were arrested. (AP Photo/David Karp)

Nobody had to give a speech declaring that this was Tahrir Square in Times Square. They believed it.The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

As I left the protest, I snapped a quick photo on a side street of mounted NYPD officers. Later, I heard they were called into brief action, and a few arrests were made. All things considered, there were no major violent incidents this evening. But the NYPD knows that today is not the end of their troubles with Occupy Wall Street. Not by a long shot. The Global Day of Rage: Inside NYCs Massive Occupy Times Square March

As I sat down to write about my experiences today, I could hear a group of protestors as they streamed down from Union Square. After spending all day with the Occupiers, it was as if they wouldn’t leave me alone.

“Whose streets?” they yelled.

“Our streets,” in answer, over and over again.

There has always been something militant and unnerving about a group that claims to speak for 99% of the population, and that owns public streets.

The truth is, they are not the 99%.They might not even be the 50%. They are more likely the 20%— which is the estimated number of Americans who self-identify as liberal.

But when they are confronted by that reality in the months ahead, I expect things to get ugly.

They will scream “we are peaceful” as they inflict their will upon others, and give us a taste of what their version of democracy really looks like.

I’m in agreement with some of the principles of OWS, such as against big corporations and big banks and their bailouts. However, people do have choices. You don’t have to bank at Bank of America, you can use a credit union. Cooperative companies put their customers as part owner. Use a credit union and you will see the difference between giant Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, etc. Use mutual insurance companies as well like Amica, Nationwide, American Family, etc. You don’t need to do your business with gigantic corporations. Corporations are all about gimmicks to get you to buy from them. What I don’t understand is how this OWS is such a leftist movement. Many are mad about bank bailouts like the Tea Party, but they want more big government led by Obama and Pelosi. That doesn’t make sense. Big government is just as bad as big corporations. In fact worse. With big corporations you can just not do business with them, but you can’t get away from a government unless you immigrate. These OWS seem to want a communist style government to lead them into prosperity. There is definitely something more behind this than just a grassroots movement like the Tea Party. You don’t see Tea Party small government rallies in Italy and Australia, but you do see OWS style rallies everywhere around the world. I never realized there are so many communists left in the world.

I want to know where all these people were while the bailouts were HAPPENING. I didn’t hear a peep at the time. When Obamacare was in the works, we converged on the Capitol to say “Noooooo!” Now they come around three years later decrying bailouts? BS!

No one knew what to do. Anyone who said “Screw it! Let ‘em fail!” was called a right-wing nut job. Not a left-wing nut job. They were nowhere to be found.

SillyFreshness – you are the smartest in the room. You are thinking exactly what I’m thinking! This movement would’ve been such a great even to push the “right” agenda if you will. THere is some overlap between the two (angst about bailouts, good for nothing politicians, etc), but then they quickly digress.

I will do everything in my power to disempower these fools. First things first, the media should take the camera off of these mobs, they aren’t worth the camera time!

We live in a free market, capitalist society. If these hippies don’t like it, perhaps they should borrow some money from their parnet to catch a flight to the UK where it’s quite socialized.

      @The Hawk,
Do you realize that if the minimum wage was increased to say $18/ hr there would be NO minimum wage jobs! Unemployment would be much higher! Minimum wage jobs are there for people starting out and for people who may not have a college diploma etc. you cannot hire people at fast food places and pay them the same amount you would pay a nurse who went to college 4 years.

I worked a job since I was 12 yrs old babysitting and then when I could get my first job I did and I worked while in high school and all throughout college until I got my BS degree. i have student loans and are still paying them off! I took out those loans knwing I would have to pay them back! My hubby has not had a raise in 4 years and our bills keep increasing, but I am not complaining. You adapt and lower bills yourself by not buying things you do not need! I am sick of kids in college or just graduated who never worked a job in their life wanting to come out of college and have a job handed to them. It isn’t going to happen! My hubby is trying to switch career fields because he has a BS degree and he cannot get one. He is happy that he has a job though and will work where he is even though it doesn‘t pay the best and it isn’t his dream job. That is life and you need to do that when times are tough!

I have zero respect for the occupiers and won’t until they set up one of their camps or protests at a university. The universities are the ones raising their tuitions. No one makes them go to college and certainly not to a college that costs tens of thousands of dollars a semester. Protest them. They raise tuition at a rate far greater than that of inflation, and, yet, no one protests them. Plus, they’re sitting on billions of dollars of endowment money.

All the bankers did was provide them the money. No one forced them to take it. The government has made the laws that prevents forgiving these loans through bankruptcy.

It’s simple. These people are revolutionaries and cloak themselves in any kind of righteous indignation they want, but it’s not fooling anyone who is wise. Their intention is to disrupt the electoral process because their ideas and ideals cannot win at the ballot box. This is a revolution.

If you believe that there’s a unified POLITICAL ideology behind this, you’re just way off. Many of these protesters feel disenfranchised by BOTH parties. There was no accountability for the WallStreet robbery that brought the country to it’s knees economically. Big banking system chews off the hands that feed them. Seems those facts cross party lines.

It’s also important to realize that (careful, you need to understand the concept of nuance to get this ;) people come to these gatherings for different reasons, some unrelated to the movement’s intent. It appears to be ONLY those people that the foxbeckrushlevin machine is showing you (all too obvious by many of the comments on these Occupy threads.) I’d think that you could recognize that because of the teaparty being cast as racist because of some fringey nuts (offense intended for certain posters who consistently reveal their racism on theblaze) who held racist signs, made racist statements.

They’re using bank bailouts as a ruse. OWS is about 99% GREED, and lack of faith in themselves and others. These people are ignorant of a free market system because they’ve been propagandized. They’re blaming banks, Wall Street, wealthy people, and the TEA Party for their failures, instead of opening up their eyes to see what a great country they live in. Our great commander in chief has encouraged (and probably helped organize) this by calling the wealthy 1% greedy and undeserving. Isn’t he just the greatest leader ever? (double barf)

if these people are in such dire straights, where did all of their expensive signs and newspapers come from? (Notice the huge red Che flag?) This is far from a grassroots effort and these people are being played as fools.

This is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Foreign Dictator covering his tracks and bailing out his buddies They are losing and they are in fear. Violence will be next but even that will be miniscule. If Wall St. capitalism goes, everyone’s pensions go. Stocks, bonds, banks and pensons are inseparable. Just re read the article by Edith Honan and Edward McCallister. Organizers say at least 5000 marchers. How pathetic a turnout is that. Hype, hype and tripe.
Yet even this author Sexton (Beck’s ex-CIA man) calls it a massive rally. My headline would have read:
“Few show up for free food, drugs and sex.“ or ” More gawk than participate.”
The Foreign Dictator is losing his grip.

@ republitarian, From what I have seen it looks as if the far majority of these “protesters” were under 18 yrs old when the bailouts were happening. Shoot some seem to be under 18 down there right now (at least on the weekends and during the day, cause they have curfews and middle and high school to attend and all that). From what I have seen, most of these “protesters” look like they have not had to hold down a job a day in their lives and obviously don’t have families that depend on them, being a mom myself to two young children there is NO way i would be able to go “protest” for weeks on end. There is a saying for these lazy people: Idle hands are the devils playthings.

May I suggest to all you read about the Bank Bailout. Almost all the money was repaid to the government at a 5% interest rate; well above what any consumer could earn on their money. Jobs go over seas because the company’s goal is to make money and add value to its shareholders. Period. They don’t exist to hire people. They need people to produce whatever product they may be selling. If you could buy car for 50% less one place over another, would you do it??? Or would you pay the higher price so that the respective car salesman could keep his job? Do any of you look for a cheaper price of a product? No different for a company. ECONOMICS 101

You don’t see Tea Party small government rallies in Italy and Australia, but you do see OWS style rallies everywhere around the world. I never realized there are so many communists left in the world.

I support OWS from the sidelines on most of their issues.. I agree the disparity between the top 1% an the middle class has gotten to large. A Democracy depends on a successful middle class. However not all of Wall street was to blame. It was deregulation of banks and financial institute in the 90s that led to the financial failures in late 2008. Banks and Wall street firm cannot self regulate they need stiffer regulations and the Dodd/Frank bill addresses some of those issues. I thought baling out the banks was a god idea, however I do not think bailng out those who bought house they could not afford should be bailed out. I took out a student loans whens I was young, but my bank gave e time to find a job before I had to start paying it back. We need to give government grants to help middle class students so they do noth ave to take out loans. I agree we need to let the Bush tax breaks expire for those m king over 250,000 even though it means my husband and I will be paying more taxes. I don;t agree with the anarchists, but the always show at rallies and are ignored by the majoiry but get to much attention. Yes the 99% still support Obama, and republicans have no good candidates. We need to give up greed. Oh ye and I support a universal health insurance for all.

Here‘s a rundown of Beck’s early enemies, and how he made them:

      Liz Curtis
As a young DJ on WRKA in Louisville, Kentucky, the 21-year-old Beck needled Curtis, a rival talk-radio host who was known to be overweight. For two years, Beck cracked endless, “increasingly unhinged” fat jokes at her expense, “employing Godzilla sound effects to simulate Curtis walking across the city.” Curtis never responded, which “only seemed to fuel Beck’s hunger for a response.”

      Bruce Kelly
Another rival, this time during Beck’s stint at Phoenix station Y-95, saw the ugly side of the radio host’s personality in “one of the cruelest events in the history of morning radio,” writes Zaitchik. A couple of days after Kelly’s wife had a miscarriage, Beck called her live on air to ask if it was true. When she said yes, he joked how Kelly “can’t do anything right — he can’t even have a baby.” Kelly and Beck had once been friends, but after this stunt their friendship “soured beyond repair.”

      PETA
Beck made an early enemy out of the advocacy group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals after a stunt on WBSB in Baltimore when he announced he would place a live gerbil in a bank’s pneumatic tube system. Beck then pretended the gerbil had been eaten by a snake, and proceeded to “kill” the snake live on air. PETA picketed the station every day for weeks, according to a former programmer at the station.

If you believe Beck has some sort of inside track on understanding world events, you are simply mistaken. Judging by the increasing number of people who are beginning to see through his crazy narrative on this website and via emails I have received, there is still hope however.

Some things to be aware of: First, Beck said the Arab Spring uprising would spread to Europe and then across the globe and into the United States. He was dead wrong. Do not confuse the OWS, which Sharpton, Jackson, Pelosi, marxists, Moveon.org and many other groups are trying to co-opt, with the Arab Spring uprising. Its origin is unrelated to the conflict in the ME.

Secondly, Beck has a long history of making extremely generalized predictions. He’s like the guy who sees a forecast of 3 weeks of heavy rain who then runs around predicting flooding and calamity (and starts merchandising based on it.) Beck is attempting to use religion to position himself as some sort of prophet and seer, and he is neither. Times are tumultuous, and everyone needs to be especially cautious of people who use it to garner a following. Look out of this character Glenn Beck. He’s out for money (YOUR money) and career. He may well also be mentally and emotionally unstable (crying etc.) and delusional. Here’s a prediction for you: someone from Beck’s inner circle will finally say “ENOUGH” and spill the beans on this guy. You can count on that, so be on the lookout for it, and don’t let Beck take you

With the Foreign Dictator and his cadres the choice is theirs, slave. Quit your whining, get 2 jobs and work your butt off until something better comes along or you create something better that is marketable. @FranciscoDAnconia…The government has absolutely no responsibility in creating a job. That is obvious, however the Government does have the responsibility of creating an environment to encourage business, with pro business tax legislation and creating a fair trade policy, where American workers do not compete with $1,.00 wages. When you have a Corporate Paid Government, the the opposite happens. Just look at Canada and see what they did. They created a corporate environment that is a magnet. They also have single payer healthcare, which takes the burden off corporations to compete. The largest expense of any fortune 500 company is Healthcare. The CEO’s of GM and Chrysler actually stated that was the biggest factor that put them into Bankruptcy. I guess most folks are not aware that Ford, Gm, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai. Chrysler all have ever expanding factories in Canada. Canada which is defined by you as a Socialist Country is doing better that all of the G8 countries. The reason why is that, they do not have corporate socialism, however they do have a good educational system, healthcare system, strong immigration policy etc. Social infrastructure that if fair to all. To answer your question, “Do they not know what goes on in Communist/ Socialist countries?” The answer is an emphatic NO. Not only for the present college crowd, but due to our dumbing down of educational system and the co-opting of our text book publication companies by the liberal left, as well as the take over of textbook selection committees and many school boards, students are not taught about communism and socialism and their abysmal failures, but, if any thing, they are told blatant lies – not opinion, unadulterated fact. Get involved with your school board and text book reviews – you would think you were in Communist Russia with some of the crap that is being disseminated through our schools and colleges – some of it bordering on treasonous.

We are in a WAR, and the other side is not taking prisoners. Are you going to let your children and grandchildren become sacrificial lambs. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you will be called to answer for what you permitted to take place, particularly with regards to our children and grandchildren. I don‘t care if you are disabled and can’t get around. Get a frigging computer, learn how to use it, and get busy. Time is running out.

As has been said, we will either all hang together and turn things around, or we will all hang separately. As Patrick Henry once said, and it is still applicable today, ” Give me liberty, of give me death!”

The choice is ours. Where there are God fearing leaders, there is peace.

Nobody wants to live in North Korea, but the right has created a lot of this confusion by trying to have it both ways. When you try to label mainstream Democrats who advocate policies that every other western democracy has followed for sixty years as socialists instead of trying to win through a boring argument about long-term economic feasibility without all the name calling, and then also try to raise the dread spectre of life behind the Iron Curtain, it adds up to an argument that says what they have in France and Canada is socialism and leads inevitably to dictatorship. Nobody is going to buy that if they’ve been to France or Sweden or England and seen that the people live quite well and that they are in no immediate danger of turning into Castro’s Cuba.

Starmarshall Ya what’s up with liberal women, they are some of the ugliest women i have ever seen, they must be a special breed, and along with them being ugly what’s up with the lack of taking a BATH, these women look like they haven’t taken a bath or brushed their teeth or for that matter their hair in weeks so it must take a very committed man, that is if they are into men to even get close to one of these special women.

They’re after the youth. It’s heart vs. mind, the same old story from the 60s: If you‘re not a liberal before you’re 30, you’ve no heart… yet if you‘re still a liberal after you’re 30, you’ve no brain.

A Churchill quote if I am not mistaken. How true it is though. I seem to remember voting for Mike Dukakis at one point in my life. It was my college days of course. As soon as I got away from liberal professors the fog lifted from my brain. Thank God!

Don’t be so sure… this is their practice runs, to get people networked face to face, to test the police and other things… Winter will be the time they hit all of the southern states, or more likely will take it to LA for huge confrontation, then once spring hits – what you see now will be far overshadowed…

Spring will see things vastly intensify and as summer rolls on, what will happen is:

      1. National Guard will be brought in.
      2. President will announce the climate in the country is dangerous and hostile, curfews will be enacted, checkpoints setup, travel will be restricted.
      3. Elections will have to be suspended since people will not be able to vote in safety (though if they can vote in Iraq while dodging mortars, sniper fire and having your hand cut off if you are found with ink on your finger from voting… I think we can handle going to vote… but the President won’t see it that way) So the 2012 election will be suspended for 2 years, just until the country can get under control again.
      4. Mysterious, unprompted gun fights will occur, draconian gun bans and confiscation if legally owned guns will take place.
      5. Once the population is disarmed, then full marshal law is enacted, and then things really get ugly and Obama becomes President for life, and as for life as we know it, its a thing of the past.

China will then make a call on our debt, the Midwest will be given to them, The Southwest goes to Mexico and S. American and Russia will take Alaska an

I tend to agree with Capitalismrocks. Obama needs this to blow up now. If this thing dies this winter there will not be enough time to make this come to a head by the 012 election. I bet Obama is looking at Greece or Rome protesters with envy.

capitolismrocks…..I can see your sxenario happening….but…..the one BIG question is, where will the military stand in all this. Several years ago I have no doubt that they would be 100 percent conservative. I’m noy so sure now. There has been a lot of changes at the top levels…..to the left. However, if the individual soldier reads and understands the oath they took when they signed up, they may have to make some tough choices. What about the national guard? Technically they are under control of the governers for the common defense of the state. I don’t know….this is all getting so confusing.
Another thing. Glenn warned everyone about all this months ago. He even had tapes of the people saying exactly what they were going to do and who was going to be involved, but, because it was Glenn saying it, no politician wanted to be associated with it. Why were these people not arrested for treason? The very people that are instigating this said, specificly that they wanted to destroy America. Steven lerner, george soros, van jones….Why was holder not all over this? I was amazed that even the tea party members of congress said absolutely NOTHING !!!!
There is 331 million Americans. 330 million know this is soooooo wrong but do nothing. The tea party has no counter protests planned….freedom works has nuthing planned…..no 9/12 group has anything planned. All we hear from most of these people is “get ready….be prepared….buy food…..have a safe place to go”

There are no counter protests because any head to head with these instigator groups will result in them turning violent and the mainstream media will be more then happy to lay all the blame on the right, the tea party, and the GOP. This is exactly what these rules for radicals followers want, spend some time and read their book and learn their ways. Know your enemy so you can understand their tactics, they don’t play by the rules, they smash the rules and we have to learn how to create rules against radicals to stop these criminals

There is no counter protests….the answer is very simple for the deep thinkers on the Blaze. The answer is because agrees that change must happen, and following the status quo is not working. I like the tea party and what it stand for and I know many tea party folks who are 100% behind the protests. That is the answer. Big Bucks Glen just tells you to hide and prepare. Well don’t be afraid and let your voice be heard. The only thing Glen is crying about is his tanking ratings. He has his brain washed minions carrying his water, but more and more are seeing him as part of the problem not the solution. He has never ever said a kind word about Ron Paul. Ron Paul the most constitutional astute politician of our time. If you want to hear the real Glen, listen to his creepy radio show. It is not scripted. I listen to Rush Limbaugh because at least he is cogent and consistent.

@Zorro6821-OK bright one, then please explain how most of us on here knew this was coming? How did we know the date well before this ever started? Who the players would be? Are we clairvoyant? Really, really smart? Or could it be that that big meany rich guy Beck has been exposing this crap for just a wee bit and we choose to use an open mind and commonsense? This is a GAME PLAN. If you listen to Rush, who you believe to be cogent and consistent., why he has been saying the same thing for at least 2 weeks? So if you and your ‘tea party’ friends are 100% behind these protesters, you are all lemmings. You fell into the trap. Congratulations. And when the time comes, and it will come, that the people cry for mercy from the government for this to stop after it becomes out of control. You and your ‘tea party’ friends will be crying with them. Because you see, you only look at surface. You don’t follow commonsense and logic. You react with you feelings not your brain. Ron Paul to be sure! I dare to say you would be one of the first ones crying if the Constitution were to be followed along with all your new buddies at the OWS. You know the ones? Green earthers, communists, socialists, la raza, black panthers code pink, take everything from those who have and give it to me and oh, who could forget, the nazis. Wow, great company! Every single one requires HUGE government of some sort. P.S. Beck has said plenty of good things about Ron Paul, moron, just his foreign policy sucks.

      @Zorro

Any sane person on this planet would be against government sliding billions of dollars directly from taxpayers to corporations. Agreed. However, the solution is not to slide billions or trillions of dollars from private enterprise, most of whom have received nothing but grief, regulations and taxes threats from the government, into the hands of people that do not work (in general, some do). These protests, if they were simply against venture socialism, would have me in attendance. They are not, they are highly orchestrated (come now, do you really think all of the countries in the developed world erupted at the same time with the same slogan? Please), and they are about establishing a horror the likes of which mankind has thus far been unable to establish.

We are so easily led into chains by our own good natures.
