God Tells Pat Robertson: Currency Collapse Coming but Not Nuclear War

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (The Blaze/AP) – Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him that the U.S. is bankrupt and heading into economic turmoil, but there won’t be a global nuclear holocaust.

On Monday‘s broadcast of CBN News’ “The 700 Club,” Robertson said he’s “not a psychic,” but he asks God for direction at the beginning of each year, and sometimes God gives it to him.

Robertson said God told him that America’s lenders will demand repayment – not this year, but in 2012 – and the U.S. won’t be able to pay, resulting in currency collapse, rampant unemployment and riots.

But he quoted God as saying “I will protect my people,“ and ”I am not going to let men destroy the world with nuclear bombs.”

Robertson has come under fire for some past forecasts that have failed to pan out. Four years ago, he said God warned him that in 2007 there would be major terrorist attacks on cities that could kill millions of people. And in 2008, he said a nuclear war on America’s shores was coming. Liberal hosts such as Rachel Maddow unloaded on Robertson at the time:

He has said when giving previous predictions that if he gets something wrong it is his, not God’s, fault.

      Henry,
Talking with God is called prayer, assuming you address the prayer to Him. He always talks back to us, it‘s just sometimes we don’t listen. Many, including me for sure, forget that to hear Him you have to listen with an open mind, and an open heart. You won’t hear Him if you try listening with just your ears. (Even deaf people hear him, spooky, huh?)

He is a friend of mine too. I leave it to others to decide for themselves whether He is imaginary or not. Hope you’re not wrong on this one.

God is going to have the last laugh when he slaps you across the head :) You are going to be one of many that have not prepared spiritually and/or financially. I bet you will be the first to humble yourself to God for help because there will be no progressives/liberals to help you when things get really dire. Luckily for you there will be many Christians that will help out. I’ll pray for you. Are you ready for what is to come?

Robertson is irrelevant. God speaks to all of us, at least if we’re listening. We do not need Him to tell us about a pending economic collapse. We need only open our eyes and get out of bed each morning. As for a 2012 holocaust, I’m 60:40 on the side the Chinese will eliminate us as competition. Once we‘re broke we’re of no use to them. The only thing left will be natural resources, and We The People will not surrender those easily no matter what Thee One says. If you look at it from their perspective, they won’t have much of a choice but to nuke us. Just sayin’.

I remember Jeremiah in the Old Testament had problems with other prophets about time. The point of the matter is in the last days people will be saying look here look there but God spares His wrath because He loves those yet to be saved! There will be a new heaven and earth and we will have new bodies too. I hope and pray that God is first in everyones life! I dont believe we are just smarter animals! I believe we are all created in the image of God. God is always right people always mess up.

I‘m more inclined to believe Walid Shoebat’s theory that the holocaust will result from Iran nuking Saudi Arabia.

How else could the World be destroyed by fire than nuclear holocaust?

When the bible uses the word fire for judgment it is not necessarily worldly fire. The bible says “God is a consuming fire”. That, I believe, is the type of fire we will have on that day.

Our Creator God has always spoke for himself in the past through qualified men like Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Moses Joshua, and many more. Then, of course through Jesus. After Jesus and his apostles were gone, there is no further direct communication because we now have God’s Word in full, in the Bible. Read it to get God’s Word clearly in mind. Then why are you on this web site? Oh, you must be one of those people who are taking from this government without doing anything for it or maybe you are paid by the left and the administration to put up comments.

For your information the United States is 14 Trillion dollars in debt and our rating is about ready to fall. There is no way we can pay back this debt given our current propensity to spend and give away our tax payers money. So if we are unable to pay back our debt to say China, what do you think will happen? China will no longer lend us any money and will call in their notes. This will impact our economy drastically and many will lose their jobs as employers are unable to pay either their debtors or their employees. The government’s current solution to keeping us afloat is to print more money thus their are too many dollars chasing too few goods in this country. This is the perfect set up for inflation and if you haven’t been to the grocery store or the gas pump you will note the rise in prices. Pretty soon things will begin to jump up at a faster rate. Also, if you had been monitoring the European economic situation you would know they are already experiencing what will undoubtedly be our fate. Riots and looting, demands for the government to “take care of them”, fighting over food and raiding other peoples homes. Pat Robertson may not be so wrong and what is wrong with God speaking to people or are you just so cynical you only believe in science and technology and in this world. If so good luck on that one. .

God does not predict the future for Glenn, history and hard facts do that. God answers prayers in his own way and gives us the faith to do with them as we need to or use them to help others. If Robertson tuned into Glenn’s show he would obviously know the monetary system is at risk, as for the nuclear bombs, he has more faith in the people developing them than I do.

Who does he think he is, Moses? Maybe Elijah? Perhaps he is so holy, he thinks he is Samuel, hearing God speak to him and he gets special information. The arrogance!

You don’t need God to tell you that there will be a financial collapse, all of us know that scenario already.

Robertson is partially right … God is NOT going to let mankind (under the sway of Satan in this present age) destroy himself. But that won’t happen to save mankind IN his sins (his sins ARE what will bring mankind to the brink of destruction). Salvation will happen for “the elects’ sake”, to save mankind FROM his sins:

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” -MAT 24:21-22

And a baby-killing, homosexual loving, government thieving, pagan-holiday observing nation is NOT what God wants to save (so expect ALL THAT to go bye-bye).

sheriff BART: “A man drink like that and he don’t eat, he is going to die.”
      town drunk JIM [eagerly]: “When?”

Just say no to false prophets. I do not wish to falsely accuse another but he would need to have more than God told him at the beginning of each year. Maybe a bonofide vision that panned out each time or even a dream. God does work through his people I am confident of that but if he has been shown not be accurate then he is engaging in just what Jesus said about the end times. Rumoring. But if he is one that Jesus spoke of that your sons and daughters will prophesy and your old men will dream dreams of the end of the age then that would be another deal altogether.

Ha ha ha..Ole Pat please take a vacation.

Anyone can see the collapse that is coming, so he isn’t prophesying anything, just stating the obvious and trying to make a buck from it. That is wrong in my faith.

Did God show him this in a dream as most of the previous prophets or did God whisper in his ear? He’s a liar. Same guy who said Haiti was punished by God thru the earthquake for their pack with the devil in their revolution for freedom.

No Glenn didn’t get a word from God, he just uses Gods gift to him and put the pieces together. Big difference.

Pat Robertson is merely another of the growing voices telling us that we are headed for disaster. Get ready America, because it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. Civil unrest, even higher unemployment, hyper-inflation, hopelessness, and most any other financial disaster you can have nightmares about. Listen to Glenn and prepare…get out of debt and dont incur more, increase your pantry, help others to be aware, protect your assets, consider personal protection for yourself and your family, and keep a close eye on the traitors in Washington that must be stopped before our country is no more.

I don’t know. Even the Koran says Mecca will be destroyed. If “1/3 of the world will be destroyed”, lets believe it will be the bad guys. Time for unifying knowledge to reach peoples brains. Historic Israel national Radio Interview: http://www.marcrubin.com/judean-eve.ivnu

God told ME that to be a member of the “700 CLUB” you have to give these people $700. No, wait, that was the customer service phone bank employee. But the good news is that you can pay for your memebership to the $700 Club with MC/Visa, so you can pay it over time, not that there’s much left anyway, according to Pat. In the end, it’s better to buy a $700 Club membership with MC/Visa because God ALSO told ME that he HATES it when Pat’s income is affected by an NSF check! And you DO NOT want to trifle with God here, since the handling of cash is clearly His weak area, insomuch as He always seems to need more. Too bad God can’t just print money like the Federal Reserve Corp. If He could, he could pay for EVERYONE’S $700 Club membership right away, and we’d all be saved from, uh, NOT being a $700 Club member, which would REALLY be BAD!

Hey Liberals, for the record, I think I can speak for most Americans in that the thought of this guy becoming POTUS scares the ? out of most conservatives too just as much as Perot did after he came out and said that he wanted house to house searches back in the 90′s. Please consider that the machine you are building could be driven at some point by one of these nut jobs as any nut job in office now.

God spoke directly and personally to the Old Testament Prophets. One of the crucial test of an authentic Prophet of God was the accuracy of their prophecies. A God anointed Prophet could not be wrong a single time. One mistake and his acredibility was forever destroyed. Pat Robertson has been wrong several times. Is his acrediblity in tack ? Not with me it isn’t. God doesn’t speak to ANYONE directly or personally today because we have the Old and New Testaments (Bible) and the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us in all things.
