Going Beck? Santelli Breaks Out the Chalk…Er…Whiteboard

What do Glenn Beck and CNBC correspondent Rick Santelli have in common? Well, other than being closely linked with the birth and rise of the Tea Party, they both have an apparent love for writing boards.
See Santelli use a whiteboard to discuss how inflation tops 8 percent for “everyday” prices (via CNBC):
Most Blaze readers already know about Beck’s longstanding love affair with chalkboards. But when did Santelli get into the act?
Oh, we should also point out that Santelli isn’t the first to “go Glenn Beck,” as Business Insider puts it. GOP strategist Karl Rove was doing this back in Dec. 2011:
And yes, we know that a whiteboard is not quite the same as a chalkboard (and not nearly as, uh, “snazzy” as some of CNN’s toys) but that’s not stopping us from seeing shades of Beck in the Santelli segment.

Instead of laughing, we all held up ones[1]…then he laughed! {:o)

And Oboma is trying to take credit for that.(even thought he is try to stop the oil production) The fact of the madder is We Will Not be able to get the price back down because of Obama and the FED they have injected over 7 trillion(FED) and 2 trillion (Oboma) into the world economy and what dose that do? It makes the US dollar worth SH$$. And the true inflation is between 8-81/2%. Do the math!!!

What is going on and that which is at stake in the here and now is far bigger than your ego. No time for that or I will have to re-evaluate my subscription to GBTV.

Posted on March 9, 2012 at 12:52amTim Russert 2000 Presidential elections, used white board on the air to help explain issues. Did Glenn even have a TV show then?
And Glenn Beck was the first to publicly discover and decry over reaching government………
Can the Blaze next run an article listing Beck approved conspiracy theories? Anyone else remember Beck constantly saying he wasn’t a “conspiracy theorist” like it was a bad thing? Now it has to have the Beck stamp of approval or “you” are a nut case and mocked and ridiculed by the 3 stooges.

Posted on March 9, 2012 at 12:30amEXACTLY… I don’t know what on earth is going on with Glenn and gang… This is a Karl Rove thing… lot’s of people use this stuff… can I just say, and I never in a million years would ever think I would NEED to say it: “can you guys just get over yourselves???”
PS… And while I’m at it… I hope they played the whole discussion from the Blaze News about Romney appearing to be similar to Reagan. They’ve got Rick all wrong… if they can’t tell by now, Rick is a very disorganized, ill-funded, Social Justice Catholic. Class Warfare, period. They are all campaigning for BO.There is no way for Newt or Rick (or Paul) to get enough delegates… unlike Sarah Palin, the yapping poodle, I don’t need a year long vetting process. Can we decide on Romney and get on with the end game WHICH IS GETTING BO OUT!!! Conservative radio & Fox (and I’ve been a DIE-HARD fan)… has just been drinking the koolaid WAY too much. We need to unite, send lots of $$$ and make a run for NOVEMBER. Glenn is miffed cuz Romney won’t be on the show, frankly, I don’t blame him at this point. Talk about knowing when to get off the exit ramp, it’s now. We cannot chance the GOP convention to choose for us, someone UNVETTED and with no time to take on BO. Doesn’t anyone else understand, Romney is conservative enough, just like Reagan was, let’s move on.
Let’s top saying the words “contraception” or “Sandra Fluke” or “Rush Limbaugh”… it’s wasting precious time vetting BO and conve

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 9:51pmChalkboards are wonderful. Well… IF the information contained within is honest. I remember a Beck chalkboard that “explained” the “left” and “right” “extremists.” I believe it was soon after his radio interview knee-capping of CONSTITUTIONALIST Debra Medina, for “questioning with boldness” (ironically, Beck’s tagline at the time). His chalkboard grouped Constitutionalists together with the likes of leftist Van Jones. When, as most folks know, any leftist, unconstitutional Central Government Planner area on a chalkboard diagram SHOULD have been populated with folks like Rick Santorum (who Beck SUPPORTS). The deception is so obvious, one hardly knows WHO to blame for it’s success… the deceiver or the deceived?

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 8:17pmFAKE-conservative/libertarian Glenn Beck HAS NOTHING TO DO with the real tea party. He has, however, helped dupe many naive “tea partiers” and corralled them into FAKE-TEA GOP groups like FreedomWorks. His SOLE OBJECTIVE is to preserve progressive government, while CLAIMING to reject it. He has proven this with his exuberant support of LEFTIST Rick Santorum over CONSTITUTIONALIST, free-market economist and veteran Dr. Ron Paul… who btw, HAS COME TO REPRESENT THE VERY VOICE OF THE REAL “tea party.”
Report Post »BenInNY
Posted on March 8, 2012 at 9:02pmAs someone who was there right at the beginning – I was disgusted by Campaign For Liberty’s attempts to piggy-back on/recruit us. Instantly turned me off to them. To claim the origination after the fact generally based on one R. Paul event sharing the name of the tea party (was it in MA?) is tenuous and deceptive at best. I wish Santelli had used the name of ANY other historical event on that day. Took me longer to learn of and dislike Paul’s non-monetary policy positions than it did for me to recoil from his supporters, however.
Report Post »Yeah, I’m part of the tea-party dating back to 3/09 and 9-12 Project the following month, but don’t ever make the mistake of lumping me in with supporters of Paul. When the tea party shifts that far I’ll gladly drop the label and retain 9-12.
Brother Winston Smith
Posted on March 8, 2012 at 9:33pmAnd FAKE-conservative/libertarian Beck’s co-opting of the original tea party into his REPUBLICAN 912 project was next to nauseating. I remember his “march” on DC – where he told the naive folks to “leave their signs at home.” This, as anyone could see, was an OBVIOUS tactic of positioning himself as their “voice.” For, WITHOUT all of the RON PAUL, END THE FED, OBEY THE CONSTITUTION signs… FAKE-conservative/libertarian Beck was free to mold their grievances into ANYTHING he wanted. And he did EXACTLY that.
But at least he’s shown the world who he REALLY is, with his SUPPORT of LEFTIST Santorum. That’s a little tough to explain away. And his awkward, clumsy rejection of Ron Paul’s Constitutional liberty is almost comic. To… relentlessly position yourself as a noninterventionist, Constitutionalist Libertarian… while simultaneously rejecting THE VERY CANDIDATE THAT PERSONIFIES THIS… should be enough ice water to wake the SOUNDEST of “sleepers.”

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 8:20pmRoss Perot was the beginning of the Tea Party in my mind. It was the very beginning of conservaties breaking away from the progressive republican caucus and sought out a better way. Then with his defeat it went from a boil to a mere simmer..until Rick Santelli turned the heat back up by giving a voice to the millions who had been so frustrated since Perot’s candidacy.

Posted on March 8, 2012 at 5:33pmI’ve noticed this trend a lot too… I’ve always said the real experts use the simple methods to explain truth, while its the idiots who use the complex tech…
For example I was watching this clueless CNN ”expert” the other week try to use a large interactive screen, and she just had no idea how to use the freakn thing. She ended up totally embarrassed herself and nearly ruined the whole rest of the segment. That’s what you get when you try to dazzle people with fancy technology instead of using good old reliable hard facts and information
