Goodbye, Rosie: Oprah‘s Network Dumps O’Donnell Show

The Oprah Winfrey Network has pulled the plug on Rosie O‘Donnell’s talk show, a mere five months after it debuted in October.
In a statement Friday, Winfrey called O’Donnell “an incredible partner” who worked “to deliver the best possible show every single day.”
“As I have learned in the last 15 months, a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience,” she said. “I’m grateful to Rosie and the dedicated ‘Rosie Show’ team for giving it their all.”
Despite being termed O‘Donnell’s “second act,” according to the Hollywood Reporter, the show suffered from low ratings and had recently seen a format reshuffling in the hopes of attracting more viewers. O‘Donnell’s presence had initially been considered a boon for the new network and — filming in Winfrey’s former Chicago studio — a way to fill the void left by the former daytime show queen.
According to the Chicago Tribune, speculation about the show‘s possible cancellation had recently intensified after O’Donnell put her just-purchased multimillion-dollar home on the market.
“I loved working with Oprah in the amazing city of Chicago,” O’Donnell said. “I was welcomed with open arms and will never forget the kindness of all I encountered. It was a great year for me — I wish the show was able to attract more viewers — but it did not. So I am headed back to my home in New York — with gratitude. On we go!”
The finale episode will be taped Tuesday and air March 30.

Honestly, most everyone can be found to be likeable, I didn’t start to dislike them until they started to show disrespect for the Bill of Rights. This is America, we should be able to have our own opinions. That does not mean you can remake the greatest country in the world into a liberal utopia. As the show’s ratings illustrate, we don’t want it. Show the proper respect and you will most likely get it in return. Disrespect and you will not share in the success of being a free people. Success not being defined by your bank account……

He came on to promote the Kevin Kline movie “In & Out” in which Tom played an openly gay news reporter, and all she wanted to do was berate him for his pro-2nd Amendment stance. That was a couple of years before she came out.
Unlike a lot of people whose principals point in which ever way the wind blows based on foolish notions of “community” or “solidarity”, her being a lesbian was as consequential to whether or not I “supported” her as might be her favourite colour. I don’t chuck my beliefs about the Constitution and its protections of my liberty just because someone might conceivably compete with me in the dating pool.

I’d never watched her show, didn’t know who she was, but family members absolutely RAVED about her. She was the QUEEN of NICE. So I stuck around specifically that day to see the segment on Tom Selleck, who I like.
What a shocker-roo that was. And everyone who was at the family gathering that day kept saying, “She’s not like that, she’s not like that.“ And I stuck with the every popular ” Uh-huh. Right. ” That whole tirade did not come out of a vacuum.
I haven’t got a clue as to what her problem is, but whatever it is, it’s a big one. Glad I wasn’t the only one whose eyes were opened that day.

The thing with Rosie O’Donut is that she is so absolutely cookie-cutter Hollyweird Leftist. She’s like the prototype, clone zero or something. She rails against people having guns to defend themselves, yet when she was spouting all of her anti-gun rhetoric, it came out that she hired armed security to guard her 24 hours a day, and on the hip of every one of those guards… a handgun.
