(AP) Google is exploring the possibility of helping to finance a possible deal by others to acquire Yahoo. That’s according to a published report by the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.Google Inc. has talked to at least two-private equity firms about potentially assisting them to finance a deal to buy Yahoo Inc.’s core business, according to the story, which cited a person familiar with the matter, and did not identify the source.
The Journal said Google and prospective partners have held early-stage discussions, but haven’t assembled a formal proposal. The source said Google may not end up pursuing a bid.

If anything, a betting person would bet for smooth sailing for this takeover precisely because of Obama’s bed-parters in Google~!!!

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 10:15pmMicrosoft is the monopoly, not Google. Microsoft never had an origianl idea in its life. They’ve simply copied everyone else, starting with the mouse, the 3 1/2 diskette, multimedia (Bill Gates said “Multimedia is a passing fad”), MS Word, Excel, every idea they appropriated, just like the Chi-coms do today, on up to the Zune (copy of I-Pad).
Google may be dominant in USA search, but it’s a benevolent giant. MicroRat tried to take over the internet with ASP pages, propietary code, and web-page-building-software, multimedia players controlled by Microsoft and a hundred other schemes.
Google pays people to allow it (Google) to host ads on personal websites. Microsoft’s scheme was just to hijack the pages (MS Smart Tags), and not pay the website owner a cent in rent. Like if someone painted an ad on the side of your barn, and didn’t pay you for it? Microsoft felt it had the right to use your own website to make money for itself!

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 9:57amGoogle rocks. They are a company with no debt who provides valuable services to millions of users for a pittance. No one is forced to use them. I bet many of you buy your goods at Walmart even though they buy a significant portion of their product from China. Google is not high on my list of adversaries.

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 11:10amSorry you are uninformed and don’t get it. Maybe you don’t know how Google is in bed with the far left, progressive side of our govenment. Or maybe you just don’t care………………
As it is now, Yahoo is very intrusive on privacy and admits to reading your emails, “for advertising purposes”. Being swallowed up by Google, “govenment internet”, will only make it worse and give the govenment more power for “net neutrality” and internet control and illegal usage. As much as I hate the way Microsoft and Windows works, I am already getting pretty fed up with Yahoo and their leftist ways anyhow. So I could dump them anytime. Probably should have before now since they sure don’t seem to be the most safe and private email there is. I never used their browser anyway……………….

Posted on October 23, 2011 at 1:39pmI’m pretty sure I “get it”. Who doesn’t have information that can be used against us nowadays? Banks, retailers, etc, etc. How far off the grid are you willing to go? If the Feds wanted to track you down through this website, do you think it couldn’t be done? I think you, perhaps are a little naive. Google needs it’s users, and the “evil” liberals value their privacy as much as you do. I don’t agree with their sympathies, but they are free to choose, just like the Koch’s do.

Even though Google appears to be on their way to owning the world, I intend to have as little to do with them as I can for as long as possible.

Posted on October 24, 2011 at 9:21amYeah, as will I. If you have doubts, read the book “Search and Destroy” about Google, and consider that this company has extremely close ties with the most corrupt president in American history.
