GOP Charge: ‘Top Senate Dem Gets Law Wrong Trying to Explain Missing Budget’

The Senate Republican Budget Office is enjoying this clip almost a little too much:
JULY 31, WASHINGTON–In an interview today on “FOX News Sunday,” Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin falsely claimed that Democrats have not passed a budget in 823 days because they have been unable to muster 60 votes for passage.
Durbin’s claim is incorrect for three reasons. First, budget law states that budget resolutions are privileged, meaning they cannot be filibustered, only require a simple majority vote for passage, and can be brought up by the majority party (which controls the Senate floor schedule) at any time. Second, for a large portion of last year, Democrats controlled 60 seats in the Senate, and still chose not to pass a budget plan for the nation. Finally, Senate Democrats have not even written or introduced a budget plan this year, much less passed one out of the Senate.

Posted on August 1, 2011 at 5:19amDurbin is another big reason why businesses are fleeing Illinois in droves… higher taxes, out of control spending, impending state health care costs… these are the usual job killing, economy sinking policies of all Democrats. It’s time to kick the Dems out… get Tea Partiers in office as the true Right, and current Republicans as the Left. Current Democrats have become the communists we used to fight wars over in the past… now they’re within our system, killing our way of life.

Posted on August 1, 2011 at 8:51amIt totally amazes me how stupid politicans who have been entrenched in Washington for years do not know the laws that govern their respective hosues of the governement. the onlyones more stupid than these idiots are the idiots that keep electing them. Dick, and the name is appropriate, Durbin is one of those entrenched morons who is at the top of the government welafre ladder (congress). What is also interesting is how Pelosi wants her caucus to see what is in this compromise before they vote on it. That sure is a change from when she jammed Obmacare down our throats and made the famous idiotic statement: “we’ll have to pass the bill se that we can wee what is in it.” Hypocrites all.

The TEA party has bent over backward to support Republican candidates. Now, I think it’s time we take the darn thing over and let the RINOs join the progressives where they belong. Posted on August 1, 2011 at 4:12amSo, Dick Turbin says the Dems cannot pass a budget because they cannot get the votes? So when they had 60 votes, what was their excuse? “We forgot”? Actually, what he should have said is, “We are Democrats, we don’t have to follow the law, we don’t care about you, and we will spend your money anyway we want; get over it.” Then at least he would be telling the truth.

They are all getting angry with the Freshmen because the Freshmen have changed the rules and are not playing the “political” game. Posted on August 1, 2011 at 3:15amThe truth is that the Democrats wanted to have the “historical achievement” of taking the first step into Nationalized Health Care. It didn‘t matter to them that the majority of Americans didn’t want it. They have allowed the very Far Left, Marxist, Socialists, and Communists to take control of the Democratic Party for years. There just isn’t anymore Democratic Party that we all knew in the time of JFK.
Finally, the American populace is regaining their senses. We are rejecting the notion of European Socialism. There is absolutely no excuse for the Democrats not putting forth, or passing a budget. They had the Presidency, the House and the Senate. This is called dereliction of duty. In other words, they weren’t doing their jobs.

Posted on August 1, 2011 at 4:20amThankfully, Black People are less than 20% of American voters. Black People caused their low numbers by having abortions in higher numbers than any other ethnic group. The percentage of Black People who voted for Barack Obama in 2008, was in the high 90 percentile.
I am a White Person and I understand that Black People would desire a Black Person as President. I’m a woman, and would be thrilled to have a woman as President. I also realize that race or gender is NOT the most important factor in voting for a President.
It’s more important that the next President takes this Nation in the direction that it should go. Do we want to embrace Socialism and Communism, or assert Capitalism? Many Americans have died trying to defeat Communism and Socialism. The USSR collapsed because of the unworkable Communism/Socialist government.
Capitalism has PROVEN itself to be the best political system possible. Only, in this system, can “anyone” rise to the top of the heap, by sheer innovation and drive. Communism and Socialism have no place in the United States of America.
Reject any politician who wants Communism and Socialism in this Nation.

Instead of a test we Americans need to be responsible and educate idiots as your crack head friend. Got a lot of work to do don’t we!
If your crackhead friend wants to vote on looks their choice. Maybe a wrong choice but their choice. Same odds as flipping a coin I suppose!

Posted on August 1, 2011 at 3:59amFYI many states did pass test requirements for many years. Mostly all southern states and all thought up by Democrats.
If you do get a test enacted as you propose how will you justly represent the voting block? If 50% of say New Yorkers don’t pass the test do they still get the same amount of representatives or only representatives based on those who vote. Easy way for government to control voting block and maintain big power. Tests are a bad idea.
Guinn VS United States changed all that.

It is disheartening to see no elected official openly calling out the Majority Whip of the Senate lies. If Durbin said he didn’t know, he should step down for the Whip of the Senate should know the laws. If he did know and lied blatantly he should resign.
If we continue to allow them to lie openly and freely without contest with truth and responsibility we will always loose.
