JACKSON, Miss. (AP/THE BLAZE) — Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour isn’t running for president in 2012. The Republican issued a statement Monday saying he “will not be a candidate for president next year.”
Barbour says it was a difficult, personal decision. But he said that it would have been an all-consuming effort to the exclusion of all else. He says he cannot offer “absolute fire in the belly” and “total certainty” that a presidential candidate should have.
Barbour says he will continue his job as Mississippi governor and help elect governors across the country.
The governor’s full statement is below:
“I will not be a candidate for president next year. This has been a difficult, personal decision, and I am very grateful to my family for their total support of my going forward, had that been what I decided.
“Hundreds of people have encouraged me to run and offered both to give and raise money for a presidential campaign. Many volunteers have organized events in support of my pursuing the race. Some have dedicated virtually full time to setting up preliminary organizations in critical, early states and to helping plan what has been several months of intensive activity.
“I greatly appreciate each and every one of them and all their outstanding efforts. If I have disappointed any of them in this decision, I sincerely regret it.
“A candidate for president today is embracing a ten-year commitment to an all-consuming effort, to the virtual exclusion of all else. His (or her) supporters expect and deserve no less than absolute fire in the belly from their candidate. I cannot offer that with certainty, and total certainty is required.
“This decision means I will continue my job as Governor of Mississippi, my role in the Republican Governors Association and my efforts to elect a new Republican president in 2012, as the stakes for the nation require that effort to be successful.”

I resent you . You are smug. You cheer for this nation’s demise.
I read your posts and feel so sad. You have no courage. You have no understanding of the greatness of the nation you cannot wait to see fall.
I do not understand the prize you hope to get if President Dunham is reelected.
The next time you see a soldier please say THANK YOU. They are weary L.A.T.C. Ten years L.A.T.C., ten years . You’ve done nothing, learned nothing, and do not even have the courage to learn.

I’m sorry, folks, but we couldn’t mirror the ignorance and stupidity of the Roman Empire any more than we do now. Furthermore, Republicans have taken this establishment versus the Tea-Party stance that looks like an unshakable fault line. The communists have won, they are more organized, and seated firmly in power. Good-bye Republic, I sigh that I never knew thee.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 5:28pmFirstly, why do you Catholics ALWAYS think you can debunk people who challenge your corrupt church with one line rebuttals? Are you really that arrogant?
Secondly, ENCINOM & SHOWTIME are one the same person, trying to sway public opinion on this website.
Lastly, Glenn Beck has always said to do your own homework, and don’t take his word on things. I would simply ask each and every reader the same thing, and look into Jesuit Political Influence yourselves. You may be surprised to learn things you never knew.
“The Civil War would never have been possible without the sinister influence of the Jesuits. We owe it to Popery that we now see our land reddened with the blood of her noblest sons. Though there were great differences of opinion between the South and North, on the question of slavery, neither Jeff Davis nor any one of the leading men of the Confederacy would have dared to attack the North, had they not relied on the promise of the Jesuits, that, under the mask of Democracy, the money and the arms of the Roman Catholics, even the arms of France, were at their disposal if they would attack us.” Charles Chiniquy, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, The Wickliffe Press, Protestant Truth Society, Wickliffe Avenue, 104 Hendon Lane, Finchley, London, N3., 1885, p. 388.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 10:04pmOh, ok I get it two party. The Jesuits are leading the Catholic Church in a scam against all that is right. Get a grip man! The Jesuit movement within the Catholic Church has not spoken for or had much favor within the Church since V-II. As a matter of fact (and you can follow your own advice and look it up) the Jesuit’s, once the faithful guardians of the Pope and the faith have fallen into disfavor because they no longer support fully the tenants of the faith. In fact, if truth be told, Catholics who study the inner workings of the Church simply stopped listening to this former stalwart but currently effete fragment of the Church. To suggest otherwise is simply wrong and ignorant. The Jesuits do not control any part of the Church other than a very small segment that promotes anti-traditional values.

Report Post »Due to all your previous posts in the last year or so, I must assume your either ignorance or total lack of comprehension on the mindset of the typical “tea-party” American. We do not want another hack or RINO as president like bush, and we will not be “divided” in this next election for president. Instead, we want a full field of contenders so we can vet out those whom are unworthy of our vote. This is NOT a divisive plan of action at all. It is a “tell-all” book these potential canidates will be giving in the debates, and we are rubbing our hands together to see who will satisfy our demands for Commander-in-Chief.
I don’t care if there are 30 contenders, in fact i welcome that. Let the most qualified rise like the cream of the crop. (Quote from Herman Cain intentionally used in support of this BLACK conservative canidate)

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 6:53pmSome of you will be happy to know that over 3,000 people hae taken the POTUS poll at AmericasTeaPartyNews.com and Col. Allen West is running away with the vote count.
And before any of our Marxist friends chime in that the poll was rigged, let me head that off with an explanation…
We have already had people complain to us that we left Ron Paul out of the poll, and we adressed that issue on the sites forum. The short anser is… the last presidential primary had many questioning the validity of the high vote totals that RP received in many of his straw polls, etc. The accusation was that some of his supporters were using Bots to push up the totals. We did NOT want to have to answer accusations if it happened again so we left him off. Nothing nefarious!
With that being said, Colonel Allen West is absolutely running away with it, big time! Earlier today we contacted our website Host and asked them if they could help us look into the possibility of Bots being used with our poll because we were surprised at how high the vote totals were getting. Our Host was able to check certain things that we could not, and they gave us a clean bill of health. We are extremely happy to announce that from what we were told today, our poll is legit.
One reason why the total will be a bit higher is… ATPN is actively trying to draft the good Colonel to run for POTUS, and our readers got the word out and people came to vote. Feel free to add your vote to the totals.
