GOP Rep Calls CNN Show a ‘Joke’ on Live TV After ‘Ridiculous’ Question

Connie Mack Calls CNN Piers Morgan Show a Joke
Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.) took Piers Morgan to task on his show Monday after the CNN host accused the congressman of “stabbing [House Speaker John Boehner] in the back” for voting against the debt deal.

The interview kicked off with Morgan asking Mack whether he could presume the congressman “would have been quite happy for your country to go into catastrophic default” because he voted no.

“Well then, you would have presumed wrong, obviously,” Mack said.

The two debated the merits of the deal and the economists who supported it, with Morgan asking at one point, “I‘m sure you’ve heard of Paul Krugman, for example. He won a Nobel Prize for economics.”

A few minutes later, Morgan asked Mack if he could also presume Mack wanted Boehner (R-Ohio) to resign the speakership “given he’s authorized this terrible deal?”

“Of course I don’t believe that,” Mack said. “I think the speaker has done as good a job as he can given the circumstances….It’s not something that I supported, but that’s what happens here in Washington, D.C. all the time.”

“If he’s done such a great job, why did you stab him in the back?” Morgan asked.

“I didn’t stab him in the back. Come on, don’t be ridiculous with stuff like that. Now you’re just making your show a joke,” Mack replied.

“Really, why is that?” Morgan asked.

“For saying things like that, Piers. Come on,” Mack said.

Morgan challenged Mack’s comment before repeating the back-stabbing remark again about Mack’s no vote on the deal: “You are stabbing him in the back, metaphorically. Not really, you’re not doing it with a knife, but effectively, that‘s what you’re doing.”

Krugman won a Noble Prize for Economics. Obama won one for Peace, as did Arafat , let’s not forget our internet inventer Gore. Any left wing airhead can win a Noble in our tilted universe. The prize just does not demand the respect and prestige it once did. Long…long ago.

On 8 October 2008, the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Osamu Shimomura, Chalfie, and Tsien for their work on GFP. Prasher was not included among the Nobel laureates, as only 3 individuals can share in a single Nobel Prize. Chalfie said of Prasher’s contribution:

“(Douglas Prasher’s) work was critical and essential for the work we did in our lab. They could’ve easily given the prize to Douglas and the other two and left me out.”

Tsien also agreed that they couldn’t have done it without Prasher and “Doug Prasher had a very important role.”

In an October 9, 2008 phone interview with National Public Radio (NPR) and October 14, 2008 TV interview with Inside Edition, Prasher reported that he was unable to find a job in science, his life savings had run out and that he was working as a courtesy shuttle bus driver for Bill Penney Toyota in Huntsville, Alabama at $8.50 an hour.

Krugman has been wrong about everything since Obama went on his Keynesian magic carpet ride. Krugman lately has said that even if the debt were 90% of the GDP it would still be fine. Krugman is still calling for more “stimulus”. Mack should have hit Morgan with that one…”gee Piers…do you believe even if the debt were 90% of the GDP it would still be fine?” .

Why these politicians elect to go on CNN or MSNBC is amazing to me. They should know beforehand that they‘re not going to be interviwed by anyone who does objective reporting and that the interviewer’s intent is strictly to demonize everything that is not bizarre leftist ideology and to propagandize viewers.

If all Republicans refused to appear on the shows they might be able to shaken these leftist geeks into being less radical. But, they continue appearinmg and allowinf themselves to be openly demonized.

Republicans know absolutely nothing about psychological operations. And they never have. They will continue to be eaten alive by the crazies on the left.

Our only hope is the prospect of civil war in order to split the country into enclaves. We cannot co-exist with these morons.

Let them all have their own few states. We can then build a wall around the entire area, afterwhich they’ll destroy themselves from within.

And our new government will be run by the people, voting in referendums on EVERY ISSUE.

Morgan is clearly an idiot. Citing Krugman is a loser’s game.

Progressives like Krugman treat unemployment with massive doses of government spending — such things as stimulus and Keynesian pump priming, which make the deficit all the worse. Krugman has long insisted that the Obama’s trillion-dollar stimulus was much too small to make the needed difference. But right after the 2006 election, when the Democrats took back Congress, Krugman advised:

Democrats shouldn’t spend political capital trying to bring the deficit down. … given a choice between cutting the deficit and spending more on good things like health care reform, they should choose the spending. … Should [the Democrats] use the reclaimed revenue to reduce the deficit, or spend it on other things? The answer, I now think, is to spend the money…and let the deficit be. … In the long run, something will have to be done about the deficit. But given the state of our politics, now is not the time.

This advice came at a time when America had “full employment.” So it’s natural to wonder if for Paul Krugman there is ever a right time to tackle the deficit.

Mack had Morgan right there….citing Krugman showed just how uninformed Morgan truly is.

These people will bestow glorious titles upon themselves, and then sit back and bathe in their self proclaimed glory with their colleges, gloating about how intelligent they are while the rest of America looks on with disgust.

The Nobel committee is now just a bunch of crazy coots who have lost all touch with reality, especially when you award this once noble Nobel to the likes of Obama, Gore, and especially to Krugman. They need to provide barf bags when they hand out their awards and perhaps start watching “The Wizard of Oz” to see if they can figure out how to get a brain. What a bunch of idiots. @simple(minded)_…if you’re trying to insinuate,“well his audience is small but so is yours” like we did back in grade school.you’re still wrong…G.Beck broke records for viewership at the 5 p.m hour, and although not truly conservative(still gets attacked by EVERY OTHER network,Daily Show,B.Maher,Colbert,MSNBC,cuz they all read from the same DNC talking points of the week memo),fox gets more viewers than all the lib stations combined, and when I say lib station,I mean EVERY OTHER news/comedy network/movie/sit-com..& as far as this website,I’ll bet it compares nicely w/ most CNN shows every hour, and thats for an internet outfit, which usually does substantially lower..and as far as this website,if it doesn’t already,I’ll bet it does or will destroy Huffpost(huff n puff hot digital air is all they do) & all of Soros’ funded outfits in hits daily..but its very easy to see,as I skim many of the most popular lib blogs, like Huffpost, that the audience here is FAR MORE informed, educated, mostly girthed w/common sense & have jobs other than to sit in their underwear at parents house & troll the conservative sites and say stuff like “I’m a republican but I hate all the prez candidates,I hate Christians, hate gays, this site stinks, and Christians hate science and don’t like to read, and tea party are racist, homophobes, sexist, red necks, gun toting bible bashing” etc etc..if your a lib don’t say anything, cuz I can guess right on what your gonna say here

Someone needs to tell Morgan that towing the party line is what got the U.S. 14.5 trillion in debt. That this deal just took that 14.5 and made it 16.7 trillion. And we wouldn’t be in this much debt if we had 535 individual citizens and not 325 of one group and 210 of another.
Mack did the right thing he voted with his head and heart and not his party. Reguardless of the out come Mack is what a Congressman is suppose to be a servent to the citizens of America NOT A SERVENT TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

      You have a good point.
These “news networks” have reached a point where there is no reason on earth to go on their programs.
There are alternatives now that did not exist in the past to get the word out.
If going on cnn or msnbc is supposed to reach the independent voter it is a waste of time. The hosts do nothing but demonize, ridicule, and marginalize anyone who doesn’t follow the marxist line…so nothing is accomplished in a positive sense by appearing on their programs.

They go to these networks on the off chance that they will be able to bring any brain dead morons that still watch CNN to the right side.

But with a network like CNN and the hosts the way they are it’s almost impossible for a conservative to have their actions and decisions reported in a Fair and Balanced manner.

In order to do just as Mack did. Take the loaded question and turn it back on them. I think more of the conservatives need to learn a lesson from Mack and Rand Paul. Don’t treat the appearance as an interview. It is either a debate, or a hostile interrogation. Be ready to attack their lame premises. Do not fall for their “When did you stop beating your wife?” questions.

If this was Glenn Beck’s show, “stabbing someone in the back” would be the new headline of “GLENN DID IT AGAIN.” CNN needs to be held to the same light. The question is a joke I agree.

Why anyone would go on Morgans show is beyond me, it’s painful to listen to the stupidity that comes out of his mouth. I have better things to do. Mack is the man, love the 1% plan!

Plus you have the Liberal Mouthpiece Lardball Mathews. That ****** leans so far to the left, he Makes Peelosi look like Ronald Reagan
