WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — The Republican’s top House investigator has a suggestion for Attorney General Eric Holder: Step it up or step down.
California Rep. Darrell Issa said Holder is hurting the Obama administration because the Justice Department isn’t doing more to investigate several issues.
Issa – who’s set to lead the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee – said the department hasn’t done enough concerning the activities of the now-defunct community group ACORN, as well as a 2008 incident of alleged voter intimidation in Philadelphia involving the New Black Panther Party and those behind the WikiLeaks releases.
Issa told “Fox News Sunday” that Holder should either stop hurting the administration or leave it.
“He isn’t doing enough,” Issa said. “He’s hurting this administration. If you’re hurting the administration, either stop hurting the administration or leave.”
This story has been updated with a quote from Issa.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 8:16pm“Hurting the administration” big deal, how about we focus on rock solid fact and reality and forget the administration, how about “do your job or your fired?”. “Not doing enough” and “hurting the administration” is way too broad and people should be doing their job, kinda like how your supposed to read and understand a bill before voting on it if your job is in Congress.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 8:14pmScrew Upton, the Republicans already have one strike against them for tapping him in. I even think they should have two strikes against them for not putting Ron Paul in charge of the Federal Reserve Investigations.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 8:04pmI would bet anything that Holder/mimions are busily trying to get dirt on Issa. This is how they roll. They have the OK to do whatever they need to do to protect themselves, bo, his peeps, and black people.. and the OK actually a mandate to investigate and prosecute as many white people as possible. If you speak out against BO or SD.. you will be investigated by AG and audited by the IRS.. this is the Chicago way… ask Joe the plumber. It will be real nice to see all this corruption exposed. I have high hopes but bucking a mob that was able to get a fraud into the WH will not be easy.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:49pmI hope the Republicans will also seriously investigate the Midwest Academy http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6725 and all the funds that contribute to it and other organizations like it.
Report Post »They should also investigate how George Soros launders his money into the political machine thereby controlling important outcomes in American elections all over the nation.
If they don’t investigate, expose, and stop this, nothing else they do will account for enough to stop the slide into socialism for America.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:45pmI agree: DOJ needs an institutional overhaul, starting with firing everybody above the rank of file clerk. Unfortunately, until you get a new President, that isn’t happening, and if you get a RINO, it won’t be done either.
Report Post »BoilitDown
Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:34pmIt’s not just Holder. While Holder is the slacker that brought the whole problem to a head, there are many more in the institution who need to be investigated. The DOJ has been systematically dismantled over the last three decades and needs to be rebuilt.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:19pmHolder is one of the most racist biggots in the goverment. How does he keep his job. The only good thing that could possibly come from obama keeping this guy is more and more people are going to be outraged . Maybe enogh to vote obama out. The same with palatono, all she gets done is flapping her jowels. She doesnt have enoug since to make any recomendations on mexican border so why is she in Afganistan dealing , or trying to give I guess professioal advice. Wonder why they got her out of town? Any way they need professionals those borders, someone that knows the region. Get rid of holder and polatono.

Oh I forgot she is for the invasion, even though she is from Arizona..go figure..doesn’t make any sense. What could possibly be so good as to let you help ruin the country?

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:18pmWhether or not he is hurting the Obama administration should have absolutely nothing to do with it. What matters is that he is not enforcing the law. That is his job and he is not doing for what appears to be political or ideological reasons, not legal. He is a disgrace and a disaster.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:15pmRep Issa has a full plate. So much corruption, so little time. Help me prioritize the order, main criterion would be which investigation involves the most (quantatatively) high ranking ,high value targets. ex; connect Sebelius, big sis, the clapperand whoever else into one investigation. Effectively ending continuous damage so the rest of the house can come up with a jobs bill….a real one!

Posted on January 3, 2011 at 6:58amThis all has to be done in conjunction with allocation or restriction of funding.
Priority Number one is to defund the EPA, stop the imposition of regulations that hurt the economy and restrict funds to interfere in any state…Texas, Arizona, etc.
Number 2: Defund and investigate the ObamaCare mess starting at the current mandates that kicked in yesterday.
Number 3: Investigate DOJ and ban the use of dollars to sue the States on Immigration or other matters specifically not conferred in the Constitution.
Number 4: Defund and investigate the FCC specifically banning the use of any federal dollars on the internet.
Number 5: Defund NPR, PBS and the NEA…no investigation necessary just dump them.

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 7:39pmThe only reason Upton can call himself a Republican is that he is from Michigan. Among many other stellar accomplishments, he is the primary pusher of the Federal Regs that mandate the worthless curlyque light bulbs. I only cite that, not because it’s the worst of his damage, but because those bulbs just tee me off for some reason. Pay 3.5 times more per bulb, get less and inferior quality light, and by the way you need a Haz Mat team to clean up if you every break one. Only in the government would this mook be anything more than the hall monitor.

Report Post »I hate the bulbs also. I bought some and one burned out in less than six weeks. They’re supposed to last five years. The light bulb plant in Winchester, VA, just closed. Sad. And, like you say, the clean up and disposal of these new lights will pose a serious problem for “green” earth. We have lost all common sense in this country, and those in power are destroying us step by step.
