GOP Rep. King Vows Hearings on Radical Islam

NEW YORK (The Blaze/AP) — The incoming head of the House Committee on Homeland Security says he will hold hearings on what he calls the “radicalization” of some American Muslims.

Rep. Peter King, a Republican from Long Island, said Sunday that law-enforcement officials around the country have told him they receive little cooperation from Muslims.

But a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations said he fears King’s hearings will become an “anti-Muslim witch hunt.” Ibrahim Hooper said several recent terrorist plots have been foiled because members of the Muslim community did cooperate with law enforcement.

King said in an opinion piece in Sunday’s Newsday that he will do all he can to “drive the public debate” on Islamic radicalization.

“Earlier this month, I was elected by the House Republican Conference to be chairman of the Homeland Security Committee,” King writes. “I‘ve made it clear that I’ll focus the committee on counterterrorism and hold hearings on a wide range of issues, including radicalization of the American Muslim community and homegrown terrorism.”

He adds: “The great majority of Muslims in our country are hardworking, dedicated Americans. Yet a Pew Poll showed that 15 percent of Muslim Americans between 18 and 29 say suicide bombing is justified. I also know of imams instructing members of their mosques not to cooperate with law enforcement officials investigating the recruiting of young men in their mosques as suicide bombers. We need to find the reasons for this alienation.”

    The idiots in Congress don’t read the bills they pass, yet you expect them to read the Koran? Get a grip.I agree, though, that it’s time for Muslims to clean up the mess they have allowed to continue. If they don’t, then a TRUTH hunt is just what is called for. CAIR can kiss my bum.

      I don’t know if everyone in Congress CAN READ. Take good old Congressman Hank Johnson, Dem Georgia, who thinks the island of Guam will tip over if it has more people, but he is voting on the Bills that will change America ……makes you wonder about these folks .

    I think King knows exactly what he will find if he uses the Qur’an as the basis of his investigation. If he’s smart, that‘s what he’ll do. It‘s the Qur’an. Follow it and its teachings and you will be a supporter of jihad. That simple. Ignore much of the Qur‘an and pick and choose the parts you like and discard and ignore the parts you don’t, then you can be a good Muslim citizen in America.

    It has nothing to do with America. Look what’s happening (and has been happening for centuries) all around the world wherever there becomes a community of Muslims. The Swedes just got bombed. Sweden! Twelve terrorists just arrested outside London – and several terrorism experts call Briain the Islamac terrorist hotbed of the world. Why Britain? Holland, Germany, France, Spain, etc. The Thais are battling Muslim extremists in the south. The Philñippines are battling them in the central islands. China has their problems with Muslim extremists in the western provinces. The Canadians have the cancer of Islamic extremism pounding on their door.

    Does it really matter where Muslims aree in any numbers? No! Wherever they are there is going to be jihadis – those who follow their faith the the letter; those who take the Qur’an (allof it) seriously; thoise who actually do use their violent warlard jihadist of a prophet as a model for their own behavior.

    The world, nations of the world, simply cannot escape it unless they ban Islamic/Muslim immigration and outlaw Islam and the Qur’an just as Saudi Arabia outlaws all other religions and their holy books into their country. No country will do that so no country will be safe from Islamic terrorism. Ever.

    It would be for the best if Congress takes care of it instead of each individual states militia armed forces confronts them head on. Also immigration and deportation can be better enforced from the Congress level.

    Why is it that American-Muslims feel they should get special treatment when it comes to dealing with them. The fact of the matter is, most Americans or their ancestors come from somewhere else and have different cultures and religions. Somehow, we all manage to get along in the great melting pot that we call America. Why is it that such a large number of Muslims can’t seem to assimilate into our society or any other society for that matter? Just take a look at any number of countries that are dealing with Muslims who seem bent on terrorizing everyone around them. Look at their own countries. They can’t even get along with each other, over seemingly minor differences within their own religion! It’s time we all wake the hell up and come to realize that this Jihad is bigger that all of us. It’s bigger than the Obama administration and bigger than the UN. Read just a little bit of World history and you should realize that this is an epic struggle between Christianity and Islam. It’s been going on for centuries and you can bet it will keep on going on until we defeat them. It is WAR and nothing short of war will put an end to their Jihad. If most religions can get along more the most part, except for Islam, then sides need to be taken. Be sure you are on the right side when the #$it hits the fan!

    Its about time that this issues is addressed because our President who is a Muslim himself does absolutely NOTHING to stop the spread of radical ISLAM. Americans must never allow the muslim demonstrations to take place in this country what takes place in Europe. If Europe wants to bend over and take it in the short, so be it but WE THE PEOPLE of America are not going to allow it to happen here. If Obama wants to go to Saudi Arabia and prostrate himself and kiss the rings of Saudi KIngs so be it, but he does NOT represent WE THE PEOPLE of America. . He is only representing Barack Hussein Obama the socialist muslim. I am so thankful the GOP is finally taking over the reins of the House and maybe we can finally get something done to protect our borders from radical muslims coming into our country unchecked. You won’t hear anything about it in the liberal media like some fhte cockroaches from MSNBC because these people have been paid off by George Soros and friends to turn a blind eye. These liberal news media are nothing more than puppets who have sold their patriotism and any sense of decency or love of country for those proverbial 30 pieces of silver. I sometimes wonder how cockroaches like Chris Matthews can even sleep at night knowing what he is a part of is helping to bring America. I think this guy has some kind of personal fantasy with Barack Obama, maybe they should take that to the next level. Ha!
    Anyway, thank you again for the GOP now taking over and getting ready to help take back this great country, and WE THE PEOPLE will take it back no matter what Barack Obama or George Soros does.

    I can help him out with a quick summary of the last 1,400 years.

    Jihad is real. Jihad is a 1,400 year old method of warfare used by muslims in an effort to spread Islam in praise of their deity, Allah, following the example of their warlord leader, Mohammed. Jihad dispenses with every single Western notion of warfare, negotiations, surrender, victory, and defeat. Wherever muslims and non-muslims interface there is violent Jihad.

    Muslims CAN NOT be citizens of the land in which they reside. This goes against our Western notion of nationality but we must accept it. Muslims do not recognize nations, they only recognize Dar al-Islam. This simple deception is critical for it allows the mass movement of muslims soldiers into non-muslim nations. Once encamped, the muslims begin Jihad…to spread Islam.

    To stop the Jihad, remove the muslims.
    Declare war on Saudi Arabia.
    Demand that Islam’s adherents renounce Jihad.
    Demand that Islam’s adherents renounce the “perfection” on the koran.
    Destroy Mecca and Medina and proof that Allah cannot protect their deception.

    For years when I see Muslims in a store I try to be nice but all I get is silence I Dont care any more go back to where ever you came from. Letting these people Is stopping the spred of freedom. They are just taking the easy way out. Go back and become the George Washington of your own country free your selves and make a Muslim country that you will like, instead of trying to change mine

      I agree, I live in an apartment complex where there are many Muslims and/or Indians ??? I hate to say this, because I really don’t know. Hardly any of them say “hello to us their neighbors”. I have no clue what their actual relgion is… and I too frankly don’t care anymore. You don’t like our customs (we used to put yes CHRISTMAS WREATHS) on the outside of all the main apartment doors. Not anymore. I am tired of your views. You moved here. If you can’t accept this country was based on Christian-Judeo Beliefs………then LEAVE. I am tired of trying to make it comfortable for you, when you completely ignore me or look at me like I am going to shoot you all because I smiled and said “hello”…..

    I would suggest a great deal of letter writing! Why are we allowing Whabbi Islam to be taught in schools in the US? Why does one Somali Muslim get to take away
    Santa for a school? Why are Islam and their Religion getting preferential treatment in the United States and the Christian community getting the shaft? Why are more Muslims applying to CATHOLIC colleges than ever before? Why are their RELIGIONS beliefs that are against our laws being seen as Freedom of religion? IE honor killing and others that have been in the news. How come they get special places to pray at schools and special foods and again Christians are given the shaft?

National Socialists (Nazis) during World War Two, expressed great admiration for Islam and lamented the fact that Germany was shackled with the “flabby, turn-the-other-cheek’ sentimentality of the Christian faith.

      Muslims assisted the National Socialists (Nazis) during World War Two in their Jew killing efforts. It makes sense that those same enemies of individual liberty would seek out their assistance in today’s Jihad in America.

    If you can’t figure out why they are actively recruiting-radicalizing-better pick out your hijab or your resting spot now.

      Islam has brought nothing but hate, violence, and intimidation to this country and it pressing hard and fast with its stealth agenda to takeover all elements of society.
      Muslim immigration and birthright citizenship for foreigners is a national security threat.
      Muslims alone have an average of 8 kids in some places while the replacement rate for the average American is 1-2.
      Not only is the traitors in our government allowing mass immigration from Muslim countries to the USA but birthright citizenship allows them and any other Muslim that sets foot on US soil to has as many babies as they want that can become more US terrorists!

      I agree there needs to be a reckoning. If the majority of these muslims are peace loving then they need to be more vocal about their disgust with the terrorists. For once I would like to see CAIR come out and refute the actions of those who seek to destroy us.

      I love the idea of them simply buying the crappy book and having one of the imams come in and acknowledge the violence REQUIRED by its believers and then ask the reasons why they DON’T act on its requests.

      i am very tired of all the half hearted rhetoric and half assed actions of this government when it comes to protecting the people. i get real angry when i can see the problems and solutions more clearly than our leaders…because I am not a genius and i don’t even have a degree!!! I know that there are all kinds of consideerations that I know nothing about, but why can’t the people in power see the common sense of dealing with these problems….i think it is making me nuts.

      Finally! Some common sense. Most Americans “get it”, and Mr. King will cut through the lies and Islamic propaganda.I hope he invites Muslim apostates to testify before congress, and that the hearings are widely broadcast. People like Ayaan Hirsi Ali Wafa Sultan and Walid Shoebat. Apostates are our nuclear weapons against devout Muslims, without having to bomb anybody. We need to protect them. They are national treasures.

      On 9/11/2010 artist Marc Rubin and I were outside Ground Zero with Rubin’s 7ft x 14ft masterwork “Atrocity 911”. We were asked to bring it to NYC to serve as a standing memorial, because there is none. So much healing and tears. Mayor Bloomberg sent his minion over, but refused to meet us. Marc was interview by the media for 3 hours, but nothing made it to television or print.
