GOP Ridicules Obama ‘Documentary’ With New Poster

Earlier today, the Republican National Committee commemorated the release of President Obama’s incredibly expensive 17-minute documentary with this graphic:

GOP Ridicules Obama Documentary With New Poster

“It wasn‘t shovel ready and it wasn’t even paid for,” the RNC has added to the film’s title, “The Road We’ve Traveled.

But what was that about the documentary being “incredibly expensive”?

According The Daily Caller [emphasis added]:

Records filed by Obama for America with the Federal Election Commission indicate that the president’s re-election campaign shelled out at least $345,353 to commission “The Road We’ve Traveled,” a 17-minute campaign documentary by Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim, set for release Thursday.

So remember that conversation between CNN’s Piers Morgan and the film’s director Davis Guggenheim:

Morgan: “How much did it cost and who paid?”

Guggenheim: “Well, I’ll let the campaign tell you that. I — you know, I took a pay cut to make this. But the –”

Morgan: “I‘m surprised you weren’t paying him, by the sound of it, for the sheer honor and joy.”

Considering the fact that the “documentary” cost the Obama campaign $20,300 per minute, the only question we have is this: what, exactly, was Guggenheim working on that taking the time off to direct “The Road We’ve Traveled” would qualify as a pay cut?

And although the GOP’s criticism may have been harsh, it seems there is little love lost between them and president. Shortly after the graphic was released, President Obama had some words of his own for his conservative critics.

“Lately, we have heard a lot of professional politicians, a lot of the folks who were, you know, running for a certain office, who shall go unnamed, they’ve been talking down new sources of energy,” Obama told a crowd during a speech in Maryland.

“They dismiss wind power. They dismiss solar power. They make jokes about biofuels. They were against raising fuel standards. I guess they like gas guzzlers. They think that’s good for our future. We’re trying to move towards the future, they want to be stuck in the past!” the president said.

“We’ve heard this kind of thinking before. Let me tell you something, if some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail, they must have been founding members of the flat earth society. They would not have believed that the world was round,” he added.

The gov can not create jobs, they can only get out of the way and let jobs create themselves.

So you think it is governments job to provide health care?

If the government is actually “We the people”, and we the people did not want obamacare, why do have obamacare?

And you never answered my question the other night.

Do you think the methods and tactics that the dems used to stuff that bill down our throats were in line with the basic rules of civics? (Those would be the same basic rules of civics that you said another poster know nothing about)

You also did not acknowledge my correction of your statement that most people were against the civil rights act of 64.

In fact, a full 68%, (that’s more than 2 out of 3 people) were in favor of passing that act.

ENCIDIOT…the CBO just released new numbers. They’re now saying that 4 million people will lose their insurance under Obamacare instead of the 1 million they predicted when the law was signed. So much for Barry’s promise that you can keep your insurance if you like it.
Oh and the best part? That “under 1 trillion dollars” price tag for Obamacare that Barry’s crowing about? CBO just reviewed that number also. Try $1.76 trillion champ. I have a question for you ENCIDIOT..has any policy by the Obama administration worked as advertised or even worked at all?

El Paso Girl, President Obama is NOT the one “abusing the system.” The Republican packed Supreme Court insanely ruled that corporations can spend an UNLIMITED amount on campaigns! That was a DIRECT attempt to thwart the many American citizens who donated small amounts to Obama’s campaign in 2008 in such numbers that he raised more than any candidate in HISTORY! President Obama ( and all thinking citizens) don‘t agree with the Supreme Court’s crazy decision, but he’s not going to sit around while Mittens Romney grabs so much Wall Street money (that We the People GAVE them)! Personal initiative and accountability, out the window. Everyone is to be the same. TIME OUT! Everyone is not the same. Everyone does not have the same ability. Everyone does not have the same goals. Everyone does not march to the same drummer, nor do they want to! Everyone does have the same chance to grab the opportunity that American offers. What one makes of that chance is strictly up to them as an individual. It is not the federal government’s responsibility to tell me what I can and cannot do. Miscreants need not apply.

So I’m going to embrace the idea creating a video is a good campaign move. Obama started using social media and media in general from the start. Why would he stop now. This gives him the opportunity to bring his message. The only problem is there needs to be a factual rebuttal that is distributed just as wide and done as entertaining. I wonder if their are any subliminal messages being created in this video, such as, vote Obama, vote Obama, ha ha.

So, understand all media and resources are going to be used to get Obama elected. That‘s smart since so many people don’t do fact checking and taking advantage of the non critical thinking crowd, such as the young who are big targets. I’m not afraid but rather am spreading the word to our youth that you need to check and double check the facts, don’t take a side, understand and take a position but be a leader. Don’t be afraid, get even by educating everyone around you. Everyone has the right to have a voice, don’t overshout other folks, just keep sending them and debating the facts. Truth will prevail……….Also, get every young person you know involved and registered. These folks need to become part of the process now.

You actually like Obama as a person? I‘m sorry we’ve seen his character on display. I do not like what I’ve seen one bit. But I agree, the name calling must end. The hate speech rhetoric will divide and ruin us all, we should not become the very progressives that despise and provoke us.

I would like Owebama more if he had consistently applied better policies.

Like lowering taxes, lowering federal spending, respecting major faiths of this country, cutting pay for DC staffers, allowing Keystone, winning in Afghanistan, allowing the Libians to fight their own civil war…

The only thing he has done right so far, is to order the killing of 1 person.

No but I’d say he has done more damage in short period of time than any of the other progressive regimes in the last 100 years all of which have contributed to where we are now…you know Ted Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D Roosevelt, Truman, JFK, LBJ, Carter, Clinton, Bush 1 and 2, and now the progressive on steroids (closet communist if you ask me) Obama. So in the last 112 years we have had how many years of this rot ? How many real conservatives that have had a chance to repair the dmamge ? The blame lies mostly with progressives and leftists without question.

But after 3 years in the White House, I don‘t want to hear how it’s all Bush’s fault. i want to hear what he is going to do about it. And frankly, he has done NOTHING but begin the move towards Communism. So go ahead and keep your head in the sand, like the liberal lemming that you are. you may be right. but remember the financial collapse happend before obama – the bank bailouts happend before obama – and the massive deficits and debt started at the financial collapse. we have been on the progressive track for over 80 years and obama has taken the batton and sprinted to the finish line.

lets not pretend like any repbulican will do. the republican leadership in the house and senate is terrible. if one of these 4 guys is going to turn the tide on this nonsense – it will have to be a very very committed president

Everything that George Bush did, that you libs scream about and absolutely hated… Your man P. BO has doubled down on! Doesn’t close Guantanamo, spends at HUGE deficit levels, sends troops overseas to die on foreign soil, bails out Wall Street, renewed the patriot act and THEN went a step further and centralized even more power to the executive branch through appointments and executive orders. ALL of this stuff you guys were all wee wee’d up over with G.W…. now suddenly you’re okay with it?

So your argument is, “Obama didn’t start it“ or ”Obama inherited it”? What you’re really saying is, “Even though our guy did everything G.W. did and even took it further, you can’t blame him cuz G.W. started it.” Your logic is flawless. We give up.

Point out the difference between the clones and Obama on the real issues.

Debt, spending, wars, and freedoms are the real issues.

The clones have offered budgets that do not cut any real spending, only future increases.

The clones have said the wars will continue and expand. The global police force will continue, and we stay in the UN.

The clones have all said they will continue things like the NDAA and Patriot Act. Santorum also has almost an obsession with other peoples sex lives.

      For example..

What the Kenyan Communist stands for has nothing in common with the USA ….but a lot in common with Marxism, Clooectivism, racism, etc etc etc….He is a believer in CRT and BLT….how these radical beliefs were swept under the carpet in 07 only lends credence to the fact that if the MSM did not cover for him and he was p0roperly vetted…thyere would have been no way in hell he would have won in Nov 2008. I guess you dont understand how the delegate system works. Most of these states have non binding caucus which allow the delegates to vote as they choose. For example in Iowa, Ron Paul won a majority of the delegates because he has a much more organized campaign than Santorum. Stop listening to the LSM or even the talking heads like Rush, Glenn, Sean, and Bill. Do your own research.

      http://www.huntingtonnews.net/22378

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k2qYJfTK3w

According to Reality Check after super Tuesday.

Romney as of this video had 244 with 197 delegates that are unbound. This plays into the hands of the Ron Paul supporters since we are more willing to take the time to go through the delegate process.
