Government Employees Owe Billions in Delinquent Taxes

Before deficit cutters look to cut programs or raise Americans’ taxes, they should probably look to dipping into one untapped resource: back taxes owed to the government by its own employees.
According to an IRS study conducted last year, government employees and federal retirees owe Uncle Sam more than $3.3 billion in delinquent tax payments. Among the worst offenders were hundreds of thousands of employees of the U.S. Postal Service owe more than $280 million.
The biggest group, though, is reportedly retired military personnel who owe more than $1.5 billion.
CNBC also notes that a number of White House employees are behind on their taxes — employees in the executive office of the president owe more than $831,000.

Most of them are a complete disgrace, just despicable human beings who sell out for the power and control they get being “Senators, Congressmen, “Representatiuves” etc, They go to Washington with the hopes of their constituents in their pockets and simply enrichen themselves and waste our tax dollars, then retire to luxury with a guaranteed check for life no matter what. Its really disgusting and I am ashamed of most of them. I wish we could just start over with people like Sarah Palin and Christi, and maybe even find a spot for someone like Glen Beck. So sad to see people in Washington like Rangel who have disgraced themselves and betrayed Ameica, and there are many there just like him. They simply do not care anymore and are beyond conscience. Sad,,,really sad.

They better make sure to go after all those old, retired, broken soldiers whose promised benefits have been stolen by a lying government, and who now have very little to live on. Those sob’s should pay their own da_n debts & leave the soldiers alone. Liars.
