Government Shutdowns? Not By The GOP, But By DEMS in Wisconsin!

Talk of a threatened government shutdown was everywhere today. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid accused House Speaker John Boehner of using the shutdown threat. But Boehner has not said that, and if you look closer, you will see that Democrats are the ones shutting down governments around the country. In Wisconsin, the State government has been put on hold because 14 Democrats skipped town, crossing the border into Illinois where they are currently “on the lam”, preventing ANY votes from taking place.
The State of New York is also dealing with the threat of a shutdown, but it comes not from Republicans, but from the newly elected Democrat Governor Cuomo;
But this is nothing new to Democrats, back in 2003, a group of Texas State lawmakers (all Democrats), left the state for two days, shutting down the entire government. CNN reported;
“There’s 51 of us here today, and a quorum of the Texas House of Representatives will not meet without us,” said state Rep. Jim Dunnam, the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. He spoke with reporters outside a hotel in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where the Democrats have holed up.
So there it is, Democrats have a history of doing what so many on MSNBC have accused the GOP of threatening to do - SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT. It is not the GOP denying the process, but the Democrats.

Who is going to pay for the expenses of the politicians on the run? Surely they won’t expect the state to reimburse?

Challenge to Obama getting 2nd conference before court

In a stunning move, the U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled another “conference” on a legal challenge to Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, but officials there are not answering questions about whether two justices given their jobs by Obama will participate.
The court has confirmed that it has distributed a petition for rehearing in the case brought by attorney John Hemenway on behalf of retired Col. Gregory Hollister and it will be the subject of a conference on March 4.
It was in January that the court denied, without comment, a request for a hearing on the arguments. But the attorney at the time had submitted a motion for Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, who were given their jobs by Obama, to recuse.
Should Obama ultimately be shown to have been ineligible for the office, his actions, including his appointments, at least would be open to challenge and question.
At the time, the Supreme Court acknowledged the “motion for recusal” but it changed it on official docketing pages to a “request.” And it reportedly failed to respond to the motion.”
Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, bye, bye commie birdies, go home to roast, the good Rev. Wright he be calling you home where you two belong, besides Obama frying, yes ‘a mams.

Find other babysitting options for your kids because that is what public school has become. Public schools need a major overhaul. The Dems need reeducation as well. Posted on February 18, 2011 at 4:59amIt is very telling about the left in America when teachers will take students to the front lines in a demonstration after the Governor says he will bring in the National Guard. The left has already said that they believe the National Guard is going to physically put down the protesters. This is a page right out of the terrorists play book: Use children as human shields. It is despicable. The left are a cowardly ilk of human debris.

He has literally had no choice but to use drastic cuts in spending to try and get the Empire State back on track. But instead he is not fighting the GOP, but the entire NY Democratic Delegation in Albany. This is too funny.
As for Ohio, Wisconsin, and and other states battling spending cuts; to those GOP state reps, state senators, and Governors, keep on FIGHTING so that America can get back on track with all of our great states!!!

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 1:38amPlease tell me there is something in the WI constitution that states that if members of their Senate “abandon” their positions/posts for a certain period and are unavailable for a period of time, those Public Servants are thereby considered to have Abandoned their seats as Senators, giving the Governor the right to enact emergency Legislation, replacing any and all Abandoned Senator seats with persons of his choosing for a temporary period until the next voting session comes up…
Bottom Line – if the WI Democrats want to run over to Obamaland and hide behind his skirt in Chicago and abandon their positions within the Senate – then take those seats away from them, charge them with criminal misconduct and abandonment of their seats, and obligations to the State of WI and they are to lose their positions and the Governor then can declare an emergency Senate replacement action…
Their MUST be something in the WI State Constitution that would cover such a thing – Act of God, or otherwise leaving positions in the Senator unfilled and allowing the Governor the right to immediately fill those positions…
Somebody who is a lawyer look into this now and if you find it, send copies of Glenns people and send links/copies to the Governors office immediately, also post any information found right here in the message threads so we can all read it… they can’t use this kind of tactic of running out of the State and not have some form of legal ramifications against them by the State of WI.

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 3:16am“Stroke of the pen. Law of the land. Kinda cool.”
–Clinton presidential aide Paul Begala, July 1998
Public Service doesnt mean you’re to be serviced by the public for life
President Kennedy’s Executive Order 10998, allowing Federal unions, is what opened the door for public sector unions at the state and local level, which is leading to bankruptcy from bloated public sector salaries, benefits, and retirement plans. Businesses that offered plans like many governments have would go bankrupt. Gov’t entities will, too, eventually, but it will be much more painful.
This is why unions should again be outlawed for public employees.
When collective bargaining was brought into American schools in the 1960s, it was a revenue stream and power base for Big Labor. Suddenly, union bosses became more interested in building political muscle than educating children.
At that point the battle between unions and school boards became more focusing on salary, benefits, pensions and working conditions for adults, and less about students.
Kids are only pawns in the self-serving union game.
What is the purpose of teacher unions? To work for children? Establish new and better requirements? Push their members to better serve parents and children?
“Despite what some among us would like to believe, it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about children. And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees”
…National Education Association’s just-retired General Counsel Bob Chanin. (The NEA is the County and State Association’s parent body). NEA General Counsel Bob Chanin Says Farewell:
VIDEO
As legendary New York teachers union leader Albert Shanker said, “When school children start paying union dues, that‘s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children.”
All government unions should be banned. The idea that government workers need protection from guess who?? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, is ridiculous. remember, teachers are government employees. Ban government unions.

They’d also make it perfectly clear to the Dems, I mean Communists, that they are hereby fired and special elections will be held in November to fill their seats. If anyone of the Dems dare show up at the capital they will be arrested for trespassing. The GOP should also outlaw and ban the Dem party in Wisconsin.
