Graphic Abortion Ad Debuts in Washington, D.C.

An anti-abortion candidate running for D.C. delegate to the U.S. House is airing what is arguably one of this election cycle’s most provocative TV campaign ads, featuring extremely graphic images of aborted fetuses.
The 30-second ad for Missy Smith will air 24 times on local broadcast network affiliates across the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. It is so explicit that it’s preceded by a 15-second warning that was added by the stations’ administrators.
The video includes Smith talking about her own abortions and claiming she was “lied to” when she was told each unborn child was “not a baby”:

According to ABC, the TV stations are required by federal election law to air the ad. YouTube, however, has pulled the video from its site calling it “a violation of YouTube’s policy on shocking and disgusting content.”

We are so far down the road from women in back alleys. In fact, government statistics show that the percentage of abortions due to rape, incest and mother’s health is in single digits. 90%+ are for convenience. Look for yourself and see how many women have multiple abortions; in a time when birth control option are plentiful and the “Plan B” pill is easily obtainable there is no reason we should be murdering so many babies.

Posted on October 23, 2010 at 12:42pmAll of those images are from “Late Term” abortions which is in fact Murder and i am against 100%. Any Procedure other than birth (normal or C-section) after 2-3 weeks gestation should be outlawed and prosecuted.
I dont want to punish women who are violated and that is where the morning after pill come in. It was developed for situations just like rape or broken condoms or lack of birth control and doesnt require any special procedure just some medical staff monitoring.
Once a pregnancy progresses past the 3-4 week (first trimester) mark any abortion is in fact killing a living human being. If someone isnt aware of their own body enough to recognize they are pregnant there is always adoption. A child is a blessing to all of us not just its parents; Whatever the circumstances of its birth.

By putting a very short time limit on the availability of any means to stop the progression of a pregnancy you are putting reasonable limits on a horrid practice.
I wouldnt ask my wife or any family member to have an abortion but i sure as hell wouldnt make any woman bear the child of their rapists or condemn them for it.
In the first 2 weeks of any pregnancy a womans body is “getting ready” to be pregnant and is also the time frame of the majority of miscarrages. Any yes, we are only talking about a bundle of dividing cells at this point.

They should ad voice overs of the justice admitting she voted for row vs wade not because it was the correct legal ruling, cause it wasn’t, but because she believed it would solve the black problem because they would abort themselves out of existence. Rather clear Missy Smith is engaging in both deceit and deep denial. I expect her to lie being a politician. Contrasting, I expect her to accept accountability for her freewill choices.
Twice Missy Smith made freewill choices to have abortions. She is to accept consequences of her actions. I would NOT vote for Missy Smith because she refuses to be held accountable for her actions. Missy Smith, as a politician, will prove to be an irresponsible leader who blames others for her mistakes.
This “sad violin” background music is exceptionally annoying; a deceitful mind game.

Melting a baby with salt is not wrong because it violates some abstract code of value, it is the violent destruction of a human life for the convenience of another, wrapped in false confusion about the humanity of the unborn. Posted on October 23, 2010 at 1:57pmThe fact that she admitted to the abortions at all seems to be taking responsibility for her decisions. What she states about being lied to is absolutely true. Why she is hated for this is the real issue, i.e. the abortion industry hates the reality of human conscience and that it is a part of our human nature to experience guilt when we have violated God’s laws.
Millions of women in their fifties are now feeling that guilt as the decisions they made in youth. That was a time when abortions first became legal, and there was little public education on reproduction available to the public. Their actions have come to haunt them, especially if they have children and grandchildren, now. ANYONE who has ever had a child fully understands that it is a baby in that womb. The first sonogram, the OB/GYN information and advice, the baby books….all attest to that. It‘s only when one doesn’t WANT a baby — but sure wanted to delight in the sexual act, so how about taking responsibility for THAT??? — that the baby suddenly becomes nothing but a blob of cells.
My point, here, is that many women had abortions when they were young and ignorant, not realizing at all the life they were taking. With the information we have, now, there is no excuse for being ignorant, UNLESS you go directly to an abortion clinic where you will not be told anything other than there is a mass of “tissue” inside you. I wasn’t even told it was “cells.” And, I asked to see it and was told “there’s nothing to see.” The profitable abortion industry depends on women not fully understanding what they’re doing, while commensurately being assured that their sexual activity is perfectly acceptable despite having to kill babies as a minor inconvenience.
You can see the same disgusting graphic images on any given night if you watch television shows such as CSI or Bones. If abortion is legal, then what’s the problem with showing exactly what is being aborted? Or the process? Or the fetal development, which would be a normal part of any education in the human body?
I have NO IDEA who this candidate is. I would not decide my vote only on the abortion issue at this time in our history, and one must be realistic in accepting that abortion is legal in this country and that only a change in HEARTS and a devotion to our Constitution is going to alter this.
I also have to say, though, that the ad is deceptive. What is shown are all late-term abortions, which is the least practiced abortion. Most women have abortions when there is no discernable shape at all to the fetus. It’s still murder. But, it sure wouldn’t make for such a sensational ad. Overall, one‘s attempt to win poiltical office just shouldn’t be about one issue.

The record of Christendom in teaching all their false doctrines for all these centuries has brought mankind to the point of hating Christendom, and rightly so. This is the fruitage of their apostasy from the true Christian model we find in the 1st century and explained in the Greek scriptures (the new testament). On the other hand, there are true Christians who actually teach the truth, and they actually walk the walk of being a disciple of the Christ. Remember, there is a difference between Christendom and true Christianity. Just like there is a difference in mothers; some abort their babies and true mothers love their little ones.

This is precisely my issue with Missy Smith; she is not being truthful. Almost everyone sees this as an abortion issue. I see as an issue of not be truthful. She claims doctors lied to her or tricked her into abortions. Missy Smith is lying. She knew the end result of her abortions; death.
My expectation is Missy Smith will write or say, “I twice decided to have abortions. I am solely responsible for my decisions and consequences.”
She begins her political advertisement with a lie, nothing else in her ad can be trusted just as she cannot be trusted. She is a liar. There is nothing left to consider; she is not worthy of trust.

You are being less than truthful. You are not obeying God’s word to be truthful. You are not a Christian.
There are very few doctors who would lie to an expectant mother. So few, this is virtually safe to assume there are no doctors who would lie about terminating the life of a baby. A doctor may rationalize to accommodate the feelings of a mother, but no doctor will deny abortion is ending the life of a baby. None of this matters.
Why this does not matter returns to my point there are no mothers who are unaware abortion terminates the life of a baby. An exception might be a mentally disabled mother but this is exceedingly rare. A mother knows an abortion ends the life of her baby. This is an absolute truth all mothers know, all people know regardless of gender. None are ignorant of this.
All this talk of cells, this is not a baby and such, this is simply used by a mother to legitimize her decision to have an abortion; she is fooling herself. She is not being fooled by a doctor. A mother absolutely knows an abortion ends her baby’s life. No trickery, no foolery, she knows.
A mother is ultimately responsible for a decision. A doctor is not responsible for a mother’s decision.
On this “clump of cells” issue, this is also an absolute truth. Very early in pregnancy, a baby is truly just a clump of multiplying cells, nothing more. A clump of cells is technically not a baby. At this stage there is no difference between a human and a frog; just a mass of multiplying cells with a potential to become a human or become a frog.
Contrasting, Christians become hung up on this notion of a soul. This is the moral issue. This leads to a question which can never be answered, “When does life begin?”
In principle, a clump of cells is a baby, a growing baby. However, technically, this is not true. This then becomes an issue of a moral view versus a scientific view, “aye, there’s the rub”.
I can always make Christians look to be both fools and tyrants on this abortion issue. I only need to point out “incest and rape” to have Christians look to be fools. Either abortion is always murder or is never murder. No exceptions. Easy to make Christians look to be tyrants by their imposing their faith upon others through law or other means; “You will obey God or else.”
Of course there are others issues of sanctity of life which has Christians look to be fools and tyrants. Some of those issues are capital punishment, self-defense, genocide and war. If a true Christian, a person will never kill for any reason, literally any reason. Tyrannical hypocrisy is displayed by Christians in saying, “Killing this way is wrong but killing that way is right. Do as I tell you.”
Nope, thou shall not kill — or not be a Christian. You cannot have this both ways and you cannot force your faith upon others, and remain a Christian. You must obey God’s word or you are not a Christian. In this sense, there are no Christians, literally.
Regardless of religion or belief system, you must be pure of faith, or be faithless.

On his radio show he stated that there are certain conditions where he is ok with the taking of innocent human life. Glenn allows for a little “gray” in this area.

To deny life to the mother is also murder. It doesn’t justify abortions of convenience, but to make the subject totally black or white is also INHUMAN.

Also, if it’s determined early in pregnancy that something is wrong with the baby that will cause it to not have a chance at all of a normal life, no need to bring a baby in the world that you know 6 months earlier doesn’t have a functioning heart.

IMO – even deformities that would leave the child to die outside the womb is still no reason to murder it.

They believe in freedoms like that…such as no restrictions with drug usage, etc. People are allowed, according to them, to make up their own minds and suffer the consequences of their decisions (or reap the benefits), thus shedding light on the ‘gray area’ that is mentioned. It is unfortunate that others who are NOT involved in a Libertarian mindset, have to suffer as well, sometimes, by their decisions (Hospitals, clinics, medical personnel, police, firemen, etc.), not mention a financial drain on the system as well. Maybe someday they will connect the dots.

For me, it is a life, at conception. Those images in the ad were NOT lumps of cells. They were tiny human beings.

Less than 10% of abortions performed are due to rape/incest or because of the health of the mother. The other 90% are “elective”. The ad is very disturbing. That is what the Progressives fear so much. Notice that the host was more outraged by the fear that would be caused by airing such an ad than she was about the truth of what happens to these babies during an abortion. How did she know that all of those babies in the ad were either stillborn or too sick to survive outside of the mother’s womb? She didn’t. She simply lied to make it seem like abortion is not horrible. No! No! Abortion is like moonbeams and rainbows. Everybody is happy. Problem solved.

I am Adventist, and I still hold to the belief that murder is still murder (the deliberate killing with full malice). Even with this in mind, I still honor the sacrifices our soldiers make, have made, and still make – my Grandfather was a marine in WWII pacific – and they have a hard road to follow up on if the time comes they have to kill.
There is a difference in killing with malice (abortions), and in the defense of another or of self, the line is thin between the two; yet that difference is a moral difference that must not be crossed.
To the soldiers serving and having served – My thanks to you all.

With all the successes and triumphs that we have had over the years and all that I learned from my children. I’m left thinking about what my life would have been like without my kids. As sometimes bitter memories of my ex come up for leaving me and the kids-I truly am thankful that she chose to have these two wonderful blessings. I have no illusions that she could have murdered them without even telling me…legally. But They saved me as much as I did them. I am fortunate to have been a father. I hope that anyone with a life growing inside their body will feel fortunate too. The lessons you learn about life from your children are irreplaceable. Bo BS…your life will change. There will be bad times as well as good. They are a miracle…And you can be one too. Choose motherhood.

My brother was my power of attorney, I told him if anything went wrong to save my baby. My brother said that he would choose my life over my baby because he loved me but didn’t know my baby. So I can almost understand the men who take the side of saving the mother over the child, but as the mother I don’t understand how any woman could choose herself (selfish) over her baby. You can cram that stuff about incest and rape since most abortions are just for the womans convenience.

Either way it is sick…I know I get to answer to God for not being a bigger man when I was younger…and I often wonder at what I will say to that little one…how petty and small my reasons will be compared to the loss my dead child experienced…we took everything our child had, or would ever have…away.

It is during this time that the purging takes its toll on a woman’s uterus and corrupts the egg within. A proportionate amount of self flagellation can prematurely alleviate the sin build up. This means that potential life is not wasted in this monthly cycle and children may be birthed. It is an atrocity to continue this slaughter of the innocents by not taking the method of greatest efficiency in producing offspring. Every sperm unused is a life lost. This cannot continue.
