Sweden’s minister of culture is combating charges of racism after a taxpayer-funded effort to combat Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) backfired terribly.

It all began when the minister attended an event at the Moderna Museet museum in Stockholm, where she was invited cut the first piece of cake out of what resembled a large African woman.  The cake served a dual-purpose, as it was also intended to highlight of plight of women who are forced to undergo FGM.

She began, as instructed, with the cake’s “genitalia,” as the head screamed in pain.

The actor who “played” the head of the cake wrote on his Facebook page: “This is After getting my vagaga mutilated by the minister of culture, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth…Before cutting me up she whispered ‘Your life will be better after this’ in my ear.”

The National Afro-Swedish Association has condemned the minister, saying “[her] participation, as she laughs, drinks, and eats cake, merely adds to the insult against people who suffer from racist taunts and against women affected by circumcision.”

“In our view, this simply adds to the mockery of racism in Sweden,” he continued.

The World Health Organization says roughly 140 million girls and women are living with the consequences of female genital mutilation, which has no health benefits and is generally carried out when girls are between infancy and 15-years-old.

“To participate in a racist manifestation masquerading as art is totally over the line and can only be interpreted as the culture minister supporting the Moderna Museet’s racist prank,” a critic said.

    Somehow whenever I hear the phrase “female genital mutilation , ” I automatically think of cake … ( Think they hired the wrong party planner ! )

    Too many people are focusing on the cake. Focus on what it represents. What the Swedish are trying to stop,
    Over 3,000,000 of these mutilations are done worldwide every year. It’s estimated that 500,000 girls and women in Europe have had this done to them.

    This is a horrible, vile, life altering and sometimes life threatening evil that some good people are trying to stop.

      Does anyone other than Muslims engage in this barbaric and evil practice? This shouldn’t be occurring in Europe at all. As long as the West allows the spread of Islam within our borders we will gradually have ALL of the problems that exist in countries already fallen to Islam.

      You’re 100% right MOM. The way I see it, muslim men force their women to get this done for one of two reasons; they don’t want their women to have pleasure, to reduce the chances of infidelity, OR the men are just plain jealous that women can have more than one orgasm per encounter. (Maybe both. I never researched it. These are just my opinions. It’s disgustingly wrong whatever the reason(s) are. Like everything else about islam.)

      that looks like a black turkey,
      with a real-live human head
      in black-tribal-face paint –crying out and whimpering in agony
      is considered “disgusting”.

      What a great idea. –WHO can imagine??
      This will hopefully help STOP the mutilation, the suffering

      In fact, that’s the problem. This bizarre spectacle detracts from whatever message they thought they were delivering. This was in horribly poor taste – no pun intended.

      Just want to say, I appreciated your comment, believe it or not (I usually have diametrically opposite views to yours). Well done. And especially well done that you didn’t refer to it as a specifically Muslim practice as several others have on this thread. It’s a cultural practice rather than a religious one.

      Yes, unfortunately the some coptics in Egypt have had this done. I think it is just due to the cultural closness that these Christians have shared with Egyptian Muslims. I don’t know of any other non-muslim group that does it. It is so horrific. Where is NOW I wonder? Funny that these “womens” groups don’t seem to stir up much support for the horrors the women in the middle east must face – even when these horrors are seeping into our culture little by little. Frightening

    If this type of ridicule is what it take to bring attention to the barbarians, that are mutilating young women, then I say we should have more occasions, to keep it in the psyche of the world; until they put an end to their butchering practices.

They are number one…in Sweden… number two…who makes a cake to show case something so disgusting…normally…liberals.     Very few people in the West take this matter very seriuosly. Go to barenakedislam.com sometime or youtube if you want to witness the real thing. Sickening videos but instructive about a barbaric, man made, life altering evil.

    This cake may be viewed as in bad taste but the real thing is horrible beyond measure.

    Where I to catch a muslim performing this type of act upon a young girl, his daughter, his, wife, his cousin. I would quickly remove his cutting instrument from his fingers and remove each of his hands 1,2,3 with said instrument.
