So much for demonizing small business owners and the “rich.” Jim McFall, owner of McFall’s Collision in Flint, Michigan had a successful business year. So good, in fact, he decided to share his wealth with his community in form of 150 free Christmas trees.
“They’re struggling out there. There are people struggling right now, and it’s just something I can do to help them, I hope,” McFall told WJRT. “There’s no jobs, the economy is tough.”
This is the ninth year he has staged the giveaway: “This community has done me well right here in the city of Flint, and I just enjoy giving back to the people.”

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 4:18pmtrees are a renuable resourse, they plant young ones every year so cut down then grow more i think this man is very generous in giving away free trees, every child needs to be delighted at having a tree decorated for Christmas and if you price trees many are ver expensive so he is doing a great job at putting smiles on childrens faces .

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 2:45pmThat is true Christmas spirit by Mr. Jim McFal, Thus said I have not bought a Christmas tree for years. Instead many years ago I bought a live Christmas tree and planted it in a pot. Every Christmas I deck that Christmas tree with all the ornaments and once Christmas is over instead of just tossing out a dead tree, my tree lives to see another Christmas.
Report Post »Once it gets too big I will find a place that needs a tree and plant it. Then I will repeat the process. For me it solves a myriad of personal issues. I do not like to see trees being cut and disposed just for Christmas. Secondly I believe that this living Christmas tree which experiences the holy day of the birth of our Christ for several years makes it that much more special and finally it is fiscally sound.

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 11:20amThat’s exactly what I though when I read this, by no means did I think “What a great man who truly understands the spirit of the Christmas season,” because that would require a high level of thinking only achievable by conservatives.

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 8:29amPeace on Earth, good will toward men.
KJV Bible, Luke Chapter 2 verses 7-14
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
MERRY CHRISTMAS Mr.McFall and everyone.

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 4:22amWhy do business people have to give things away to be considered human?
Just about everything you own, including the heat keeping you warm, the clothes on your back, and the roof over your head was made possible by a business man or woman.
“Give something back”????
Did the business man take something without paying for it? Did he steal something from somebody by creating a service or a product and then trading with another human…with consensus and without coercion?
Check your language, it reveals your beliefs. Right now, things are coming up Progressive all over.
You either support property rights and free markets, or you do not.
Millions of business owners worked a twelve hour day today, and seven days last week. Why is that not news?
Chances are, a business person provided you with something you needed or wanted today. There was a time when Americans knew better than to turn a blind eye to that brand of human virtue.

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 5:09amGiving back, as in giving something to his community that supports him by buying his product. Not that he’s forced to, but that he has a spirit of compassion on those who have had a tough year and he just wants to spread a little Christmas cheer. He worked very hard and had success to show for it. And he’s sharing that success with those who are less fortunate. It’s a really touching story!

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 11:07amGiving back is someone who is “GIVING” of his own free will. That is something that should be shared with the world.

Posted on December 15, 2010 at 4:16amThank you! We really do need more stories like this. This man is not alone in his efforts to give back. Sadly, because most of those who are charitable like this don’t seek out recognition, we often don’t hear about it. This is the true American spirit on display for the world to see!
