Green is the New Red: GBTV Discusses Global Warming and Radical Factions of Environmentalism

The U.N. Conference on Sustainable Development closed Friday in Rio de Janeiro after having brought 100 world leaders and more than 45,000 people to Brazil to discuss reconciling economic and environmental aspirations. While the global summit itself has already cost tens of millions of dollars, world-wide adoption of far-reaching policy to address global warming may end up costing more. Glenn Beck sat down with several authors and analysts during his broadcast Friday who are skeptical of global warming and the effects of policy aimed at advocating green jobs. Twenty years ago the U.N. held the same summit in Rio that would give birth to a renewed enthusiasm in environmentalism and global warming awareness. The panel on GBTV Friday broke down the views and policy advocated by activists coming out of Rio in 1992, and how their predictions have proven to be inconsistent and extremely expensive.

“It is not a present reality, it’s a hoax” said Beck Friday. “The way the media talks about global warming is ridiculous.

“We know this from the science out in the open,“ Beck said in reference to ”climate-gate,” the hacked email account scandal in November 2009 that exposed American and British climate researchers emailing one another about the manipulation of data to support the view that climate change is caused by humans. The authors of some of the emails said skeptics took their messages out of context.

“Green is the new red,” proclaimed Beck Friday. “This agenda is not about the environment. It’s an attempt by the Left to hang a smily face on the same statist policies they’ve been pushing for decades.”

Glenn’s radio co-host Stu Burguiere has been keeping an eye on the global warming enthusiasts since around the time Al Gore launched his gushing green (for the money it made) film “An Inconvenient Truth.” During the program Friday, Stu examinand how some of the previous predictions of Gore and renowned climate scientist James Hansen have panned out during a segment called “Stutistics:”

Joined in Dallas by Brian Sussman, author of “Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America;” and Chris Horner, author of “Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies will Steal your Freedom and Bankrupt America;”  Glenn and Stu discussed with the panel how radical groups of environmentalists do not primarily seek a better environment, but rather use the “green movement” as a means to achieve deep-seated economic and social goals of the Left.

Agenda 21, the U.N. action group aimed at implementing sustainable development policy world-wide, has been discussed by The Blaze before.  The group was present in the 1992 summit and still find their way in United States policy at federal, state and local levels.     Thanks very much for doing this show, Glenn. As a meteorologist of over thirty years, I have been battling this fraud on the west coast for a good part of the last 15 years or so. The failed computer modeling of James Hansen is a very effective tool to use to expose the seriousness of the errors and lack of understanding of the founding physics concerning water vapor and CO2 and how the founding work was supplanted with Hansen’s codes that treat water vapor as a positive feedback to CO2 which it is not. This has caused very large errors in his codes as well as a miriad of many other prolems which he refuses to aknowledge are limitations to his ability to forecast future climate.

    But it is much worse than that because these same people are tampering with the real climate records of the NCDC through NOAA and faking a warming trend that they claim has been happening for 100 years so as to implicate and prosecute the use of fossil fuels. Please check out these posts which exposes the fraudulaent manipulations of temperature records from Hansen‘s group at GISS and Jane Jubchenco’s ( Current head of NOAA ) manipulation of NCDC temperature records that are doing the same thing:

      So, you are proof that individual’s that have an education on the fringe of science (you claim to be a meteorologist) could still be an idiot and be clueless on how scientifc research works, and how numerical and/or analytical modeling works, because Hansen’s model is not “failed” as you claim. If you knew anything at all about numerical modeling, you would know that relatively complicated models go through numerous iterations during the model construction. Things such as model domain, model boundaries (if any are used), model variables regarding input and output variables, model constants, model variable sinks, variable flux, etc. may go through numerous stages and/or iterations until a realistic “background” is developed….. Hansen’s or the GISS climate model is certainly not failed, and you would know that if you were truly a scientist and were not just another Koch Bros. hack!

      The NOAA-GISS data shows EXACTLY the SAME dwnward trend in US temps from the 1930′s to 2000 as Steve Goddards does!!! You are a HACK! The NOAA claim was that the US had lived through the hottest 12-months average on record (2011) and if you look at the data, that is TRUE!

      You and the other GOP science hacks manipulate the data to compare apples to oranges which even a first-grader knows you can not do!!

      The climate data from GISS was fraudulently manipulated and does not show what the NCDC records show. It was manipulated by Hansen just as Goddard’s group portrays it. in his simulation I provided. But speaking of NCDC records, you’re wrong here as well:

      This post from C3 shows how NOAA has been “adjusting” the raw climate data by warming the record after 1950 and cooling it prior. The only justification given was “quality control” manipulation. That is quite an absurd claim for records which were examined many decades prior and found to meet NOAA observing standards. Just read the post thuroughly to get the gist of what is happening.

      Contrary to your claims, the “science” behind CO2 causing global warming IS fake. This was not the conclusion one would draw from studying the founding work. The absorption of infrared radiation by CO2 is dwarfed by the presence and behavior of water vapor which cross absorbs 37% of CO2‘s radiation and emits at its own and much broader spectrum that ultimately controls the earth’s infrared radiation emission to space. These FACTS, with the phase changes of water vapor to clouds in the hydrological cycle are what cause regulation of the earth’s heat budget, not CO2.

      Chuck to my knowledge you are accurate in your portrayal of problematic climate models. Your view is supported by the AMS in their publication “State of the Climate 2008” which contains an assessment of IPCC model performance for a 10 year period ending December 31, 2008. The IPCC models were already in trouble with decadal estimates and falsified at the 90% level. The scientists that did the study found no warming after ENSO adjustment and explained that 15 years of no warming would falsify the IPCC models at the 95% level.

      We will know by the end of 2013 if the models have officially failed. The current divergence between models and measurement continues to grow and unless we see a temperature rise of between .3 degC (low endand) and .45 degC (high end) by the end of 2013 they will have failed. I just don’t see the global temperature rising .3 degC between now and the end of 2013. The “missing heat” confirmed in the latest paper by Levitus etal. 2012.     I just found out in a trip to the hospital with my father that, Hospitalists take care of everything at the hospitals and take the actual patients physician out of the loop and gives the physician a plan of how to treat their patient after they leave the hospital.

    The deception of they are so “nice” they take the “risks” away from the “employees” and make the patient drink their Kool-aide of how great there service is, blah blah blah.

    Do so homework and see the Obama Plan to get in the door and be in total control when Obama Care Takes effect! Don’t be sheep and suck in this great care at first, because when they take over and then they say there is no money and we have to be selective of who we treat, its all a down hill road from there.

    Isn’t it interesting that for most of the last 20 years the UN/IPCC disguised efforts to enact agenda 21 under the false flag of science? Then in 2008 Climategate 1.0 and 2.0 drew back the curtain of how politicized and incestual the whole IPCC “science” process was. The IPCC has decided to ignore recommendations of an independent comission regarding transparency and openess to now accept and allow “grey literature” to be used without notation in IPCC AR5 due out in 2013. This means that Greenpeace, WWF, EDF and every anti-capitalist anti-American NGO will be able to get their version of the science into the report. There will also be quotas for minority scientists and quotas for geographical participation. The USA, UK, Germany and nations with the best scientists and best resources will play a diminished role and have fewer scientists involved in the science process than Africa for example. In summary the ruse of the UN/IPCC supplying the best climate science is officially a joke as they have turned the process into a social experiment.

    I would urge Glenn Beck to get Donna Laframboise a Canadian feminist, investigative journalist and one time global warming believer on his show as she has done more to expose the UN/IPCC’s true agenda as being political, than anyone but the unknown leaker of UEA emails that led to Climategate.

In the debates you must ask; “is CO2 a pollutant?” Obama thinks it is, I don’t know what Romney thinks about this and Agenda 21 & ICLEI. I hope someone pins him down on this, It is very important.
