    The alternative to what Bill said, which was what she wanted to hear, would have been: “real muslims had nothing to do with 9/11″
    But to say that would have been inaccurate, according to islamic law. It would have also been ignoring the support and training these guys recieved from other muslims. It would have been ignoring the cheers and parades thier “martyrdom” was recieved with in the islamic world. To say that the War on Terror, and the global jihad being waged on modern civilization, has nothing to do with the writings of mohammed, is the same as saying that slavery had nothing to do with the American Civil War or progressive socialism with the rise of the nazi party in germany.
    If Whoopi wants to slap on the blinders, let her. I don’t care what she thinks. I admit to see someone in her exact demograph trying to defend the world of islam is almost funny. About as funny as a lamb licking the hand of the butcher.

    3 million veiwers watch oreilly and again I saw oreilly question tancredos stance on imigration and basically labeled him as a person with no other views. that race is real close and this interview could have really helped tancredo he believes in secure borders, limited goverment and will not vote for any of the obama agenda and oreilly toasted him. with that sarcastic smirk ,I guess you dont have a wager on tancredo hah bill.thank god for glen beck you might not like him but he is sincere.not like oreilly. I am done watching that show.when beck and ingraham says bill youre going soft they should say what they mean is anything for ratings bill.watch his interview with tancredo see if you think tancredo got a fair shake.

    Makes you think Whoopi is Very unhappy with her staff for not vetting Mr O’Reilly beforehand. I mean how dare he make statements that are clear, true and defendable that show he is correct and Whoopi and her Fem pack were wrong?

    Almost get the feeling when she left there was a call to/from the producer telling her to get back out there. Such fun.

    Whoopi Quote “…because people only hear what they want to hear.” Ya think? Maybe, just maybe that is what you did. You only heard what YOU wanted to hear, not what Mr. O’Reilly was actually saying.

    And if I am not mistaken I believe the complete quote was that one could not say what one wanted to say in these volitile times because people only hear what they want to hear. However I could not get the video to play a second time to confirm the wording.

    The most interesting thing about the whole incident is that both Ms. Goldberg and Ms. Behar are feeling the backlash, from Ms. Walters, from the public, from the conservative talk show hosts and from some of their fellow liberals. So their attempt at shaming Mr. O’Reilly kind of fell flat. Nice try, gals, better luck next time.

All during the Bush administration they were told that he was manipulating oil prices and that he made up information about Sadam Hussein and that he planned the World Trade Center attacks. They are so invested in the lies that they would have a breakdown if they learned the real truth.

      Are you kidding me? Last night on the news there was a local convenient store that got robbed. They report the suspect to be a black male in his late twenties. Should there have been a disclaimer saying NOT all black males rob stores?
      Look, it is simple. The 9/11 hijackers were MUSLIM! (disclaimer* NOT all billion+ plus muslims were on the plane). Is that better?

      I‘m still disappointed that we haven’t solved the drop in Obama’s poll numbers when the answer seemed sooooooo close; but not, for the lack of a word. I am more troubled to hear the younger blond woman (don’t want to spell her name wrong) ask with sincerity if we could please use the word terrorists again. NOBODY, not even the great Barbara Walters, who unfortunately had enough to deal with, asked her “why would we have to get the president’s permission to use clarifying language?” I’m not in the media business, but that frightened me a bit for everyone who thinks they are!

      EXACTLY!!! I am Irish and I like to drink (imagine that). I have never met a black guy that didn’t like chicken nor have I seen too many Jews offer to pick up a check. I never seen a cop that didn’t eat doughnuts. Italian guys always start talking like Rocky Balboa or Don Corleone when they drink and I never met a redhead that wasn’t a freak in bed!!
      That being said, I feel it is pretty safe to say that anyone that intentionally flies a plane into a crowded building while screaming Allah Akbar is probably a MUSLIM!!!!

    Well, I do understand that is was muslims that killed on 9/11, and it is muslims that continue to kill anyone who get in their way. It certainly was not the Irish , Canadians, or Hawaiians. It was indeed muslims that did it. Is that too hard for whoopy to grasp? Now of course it is not all muslims, but they were muslims.

    Wow. Is this woman ever ignorant? Saying all Irish are drunks is the same as saying Muslims attacked us on 9/11? I’m pretty darn certain…99.9%…that ALL 18 hijackers on 9/11 were Muslim. So, simplistic as it was for O’Reilly to say it, he was right. Muslims killed Americans on 9/11.

Should we fear Beck fans?

      The best word for this is “over generalization.” It’s a fallacy of inductive reasoning that is an unfortunate byproduct of human intelligence. But, depending on the context, there are worse words: biased, uninformed, unintelligent, racist, bigoted etc.

      Anyone who watches Beck’s show KNOWS WHAT MEDIAMATTERS IS.
      So how is it that this guy gave his only jailhouse interview to …wait for it….wait… mediamatters ?

      @JZS – my fiancé is Muslim so therefore I know not ALL Muslims are responsible for what happened on 9/11 but it is doesn’t take away from the fact that it is a TRUE statement! They were all Muslims…every last one of them.

      To JZS, Timothy McVeigh was not a Christian extremist. He had some writings prior to the Oklahoma City Bombing wherein he repudiated his childhood Catholic faith and declared himself an agnostic. As for Byron Williams, he was a petty criminal who couldn’t live on his own and had some crazy ideas–but I didn’t see any reference anywhere to him saying Glenn Beck was his teacher, and you can bet that if he had said it, it would have been all over the media. It seems that you’ve been paying too much attention to the mainstream media yourself. And what’s with calling McVeigh a “tea party template”? You think the tea party is following in his footsteps, or that anyone in it even wants to? I think you’re just another liberal plant trying to sound reasonable, because most of the liberal plants on this site are absolutely ridiculous and completely obvious.
