Group Alleges Israeli Abuse of Palestinians With New Photos

Breaking the Silence said Monday it published the pictures on its Facebook page to rebut the military’s contention that improper conduct by soldiers is an aberration.

    im sure there are abuses on both sides in this never-ending war over whose god is the right god, thus giving them exclusive rights to the ‘promised land’

    it will also take BOTH SIDES making compromises for any solution – so far, they BOTH refuse to compromise. stay tuned… it’s surely not going to end anytime soon.

      Let’s not over complicate this issue. Like any land dispute it can be resolved simply on the basis of historic facts and prior claim. Likewise it must be taken into account that it was not Rome who exiled the Jews off their lands but the colonial Islamic conquest. Rome certainly slaughtered and enslaved many Jews, and attempted to erase its history by renaming it Palestine before any Arabs lived there, but it remained a Jewish country until the seventh century. Eveb then the Arabs teated Palestine like the Romans did as a southern province of Syria. There has never been an Arab country or native populace in Palestine. Almost all of the so-called Palestinians arrived there in the early twentieth century abetted by the British, and can simply return to their ancestral homelands. The Jews have have always had one and only one homeland and most of it even now is in Arab hands; Transjordan, Gaza, and southern Lebanon are all parts of the original land of Israel as outlined in the Bible. Compromise for Israel is national suicide. Compromise by Arabs is sanity.

    This is just typical. Not only that but these people run the entire educational system in Jewish Palestine (‘West Bank’ and Gaza district)

    You may not have heard the term ‘Pallywood’. As with ‘Bollywood’ for the Indian movie industry, this refers to the ‘palestinian’ propaganda industry.

    Are we to believe Israeli soldiers basically posed for pictures while doing this? Like “Hey, let’s go out and abuse some palestinians today! Don’t forget the camera so we can post it on facebook.”

    Looks staged. There is no sign of actual physical action evidenced in the photos. In the bottom pic, the “soldier” with his hand on the “victims” head shows no believable contact..the mans hair, scalp etc show no forceful contact.. His skin is not distorted in any manner. It looks like the “soldiers” hand is simply resting on the “victims” head. The man with his hand on the throat shows no sign of the muscle contraction necessary to ..well..hold a person by the throat using force.

    The body language in the top photo is just too relaxed to be believable.

    Here’s a GREAT photo: One guy pointing a rifle at a guy who is not only blindfolded and can’t possibly be intimidated by the gesture, but who is also standing directly between the rifle and the rifle-pointer’s compatriot. Sorry, I don’t think Isreali soldiers are that stupid.

    But here’s another observation: There is no such thing as a “Palestinian.” Those sub-human scum who POSE as non-existant “Palestinians” deserve whatever rough treatment decent people deal them. Were I dictator of Isreal I would load every last one of them on ships and unload them in Marseille where they could establish their “Palestinian” State.

    Israel has been defending themselves their whole history. I would think this would take a toll on their attitude. I mean really, enough is enough. My patience would have run out a long time ago. The palestinian people have absolutely no claims to any part of that land. And Israel, God continue to bless them, should solve the problem instead of appeasing the world.

      Yes they have that right. For some reason the world expects them to put up with killers, terrorists, and rocket attacks into their country. No one seems on the Progressive sides to declare or remember the restraint shown by Israel in the first Gulf War when Hussein attacked them. They could have simply unleashed a nuclear amageddon upon the country if desired.

    Impossible to confirm the authenticity of the phots, obviously means someone never has seen a application called Photoshop. Let the facts speak for themselves, this could be real or it could also be staged and faked.

      Here you go…. I will go out on a limb here and make a generalization. The dude holding the knife in the bottom photo is a really hairy guy. Looks like a Muslim to me. These are nothing more than performances for the camera to legitimize what the Palestinians are trying to get away with.

      I don’t think that an IDF Soldier would point a weapon in this manner. If the Soldier were forced to fire, the expended round would eliminate the prisoner as well as hit the other fellow Soldier. This is a doctored photo from people who are not military trained personnel. Typical propaganda…just like photos of perfectly new stuffed animals in destroyed buildings. These photos convey a feeling of tragic loss; however, are put into pictures to invoke sympathy for their cause. Also, the picture is very bright and easy to make out all the surrounding actions in perfect frame.

      But, I disagree. I googled Abu Ghraib photos and didn’t see any blurred out photos of Iraqis. I think you’re going to add an extra assumption to your conspiracy theory to account for the lack of blurring.

      Here was my only point. I was not slamming the Israeli soldiers and certainly not American soldiers. Horrible things in war and just because a few individuals on your side do some of those things doesn’t mean your side is evil (lot of gray, it’s never . But simply denying that captives are or have been abused or tortured doesn’t make you better. In your mind maybe, but not in reality. It’s not “apologizing to the world” to admit your country has made a mistake, any more than it is to do that on a personal basis. In fact it’s a good, Christian gesture.

      When I see photographs like this I generally just ignore them. It could be stills from a movie for I’d know. They could be Photoshoped – I know, I‘ve been having fun making humorous Birthday Card images in Photoshop for years and I’m not all that all that talented. But you know what? They could be real. Wouldn’t be the first time a prisoner of war was mistreated in captivity. When you accept or reject that hypothesis based on your political beliefs, you’ve given up any claim to objectivity.
