An elderly woman’s headless body was found inside a Tulsa, OK home, and despite the gruesome discovery police believe she died of natural causes:
According to KOTV, the woman may have been dead since December or early January, and was discovered along with several living dogs. The dogs are believed to have eaten parts of the woman’s body to stay alive, which may explain why she was found decapitated.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 1:52pmI don’t recall seeing any report of this on the Tulsa TV stations, or at least the ones I watch. I agree with the sentiment of many here, why didn’t the neighbors notice something was wrong. Don’t count on Grandkids to check, if they are like ours they are selfish and self centered and don’t give a s#1* about us, just send money and goodies, no thank you’s. The moral, live a good life and stay close to your family and friiends.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 12:21pmTerribly tragic story. But, when did 55 become “elderly”?
Report Post »Good grief!

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 2:06pmI think it refers somewhat to not only your chronological age but overall condition as well. Damn, that means I’m elderly at 47. At sixty I’ll be downright ancient.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 12:11pmThis poor soul probably would have been found sooner if Tulsa hadn’t been gridlocked by 20 inches of snow for the past 2.5 weeks. The residential streets were nearly impassable until a just a few of days ago. High of 60 yesterday, currently 57, and my backyard is still covered by several inches of some in many places. This woman’s house is about 3 miles from mine, so I know whereof I speak. So have mercy.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:36amSeriously. The poor old woman living alone and then dying alone. That’s sad. The dogs eating her remains to stay alive, well that’s just nature. Makes a good greusom story though and gets everybodys attention. Animals will be animals, to expect otherwise is pure sillyness. I would expect nothing else from my dogs. They love me as much as any animal can love, but hey, when your dead and the doggies are starving, you know.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:17amHow sad. My mom (twice a widow) had a dear friend who would call her every morning at a certain time just to be sure she was ok. That was comforting. Our daughter calls us each weekday morning, and that is a comfort since we are newly translated here. Have neighbors, but no one checks on us, or us on them. Be a good program to get started in our neighborhood.
GOD BLESS!

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:16amIf I died and there was no one to feed my doggies I guess it would be ok. Like I’m not really going to know about it. If they go to chewing off my toes when I’m sleeping though, (like that story earlier) somebody is getting a knot on their head. It’s a dog eat man world out there.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:28amGot to go out and get me one of those munch alerts. You know that electronic device you wear around you neck. It detects the sound of something munching on you and immediately alerts animal control.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:14amThis is extremely sad that this lady had no one to check on her since Christmas. We’ve had really bad weather here and you would have thought SOMEONE who knew her would have checked on her. If she had family they should be ASHAMED of themselves for not checking on her. My prayers are that she was a christian and now has peace. God bless

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 10:50amWhen an such an elderly woman has no one checking on her since Christmas 2010; I mean no brother, sister, son, daughter, grand children, cousin, in-laws, friends, associates, neighbour checking on her, then it tells you a lot about her and the type of life she lived.

Report Post »decapatated means, cut off blaze……..
if the dogs chewed it off, theres a difference.
Warphead
Posted on February 15, 2011 at 11:23amDecapitated means the loss of your head regardless of method. Cut off, knocked off, torn off, eaten off, it’s all decapitation. Now lose an arm, a leg and your head and you have been dismembered. Last but not least. Have your limbs, torso, head and limbs chewed up and mangled, well then you now got yourself a mutilation. It‘s all relative don’t you see.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 10:38amGood Lord! This is FEBRUARY! Why has no one called her or knocked on her door before now?! This just makes no sense to me. My friends who live alone call each other every morning just to let each other know that we are all okay and woke up each morning.
Onslow County (NC) Sheriff Ed Brown has a program known as “R.U.O.K.” (Are you okay?)
This is sad news. The end result could have been much different and given some dignity to the lady..

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 10:52amSo so sad. I believe their are no excuses for her family not to check up on her, with that said our crazy, busy lifestyle along with the younger populations feelings about our senior citizens has alot to do with this.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 10:34amPrayers for the family if there was any. If this happened in December or January and no one noticed that she was “missing” then it would seen that there isn’t any family. Odd that no one around where she lived noticed that she wasn’t showing up anywhere or the odor around the house.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 6:06pmeven if this story hase no news element to it, it should remind us to take care of ourselves and others. if you notice something odd maybe you should check it out. take it as one of esops phables, the point is to help us think of more than just ourselves. that in itself is news worthy.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 1:32pmThis woman is very similar to how Jezebel died, therefore this lady was probably not a God-fearing human. This style of death is legendary in the bible. You didn’t believe in God if you died this way.
