H.S. Principal Promotes Dem Progressive Propaganda Film Contest

In what seems to be an endless supply of stories supporting the theory that our education system is riddled with uber-liberal indoctrination programs and a Progressive agenda, we present the latest jaw-dropping story about a school Principal in Pittsbugh, PA who is handing out flyers to faculty members in hopes they will encourage students to enter a contest with the sole purpose of creating Progressive propaganda.

According to our sources, Principal Melissa Pearlman of Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 was handing out the flyer seen below to all faculty members, and allowing them to be posted in public areas where students could see them. Calls to the school and Principal Pearlman have not been returned.

H.S. Principal Promotes Dem Progressive Propaganda Film Contest

‘Got a message to make the Progressive message stronger?’

At issue here in not the Film Festival.  The 14th Ward Independent  Democratic Club has every right to encourage people to be part of their contest. (although they may want to update their homepage which is currently carrying an endorsement for Joe Sestak.)  What is being called into question here is the use of public school staff, facilities, and student’s time to promote a purely political cause that only represents a small portion of the general populace.  And we know that the 14th Ward club is expecting to receive films from students because they said so in a recent internet posting:

We’re still waiting to hear from student and activist filmmakers. We have already some great entries from recent events around the country.

And we are also certain that the students know about the competition because the flyers have been posted in their classrooms.  Here is a very recent photo of the flyer as it was posted in a classroom in the CAPA 6-12 building.

H.S. Principal Promotes Dem Progressive Propaganda Film Contest

Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 (Creative And Performing Arts) is a Pittsburgh Public Magnet School where students spend half of their day half on academics and half on their majors. As you might expect a Creative and Performing Arts school has intense programs in; Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Theatre, Dance, Instrumental Music, and Vocal Music. Reports also state that many of the arts teachers are adjuncts who are professionals in their fields and not certified teachers.

Public education is all about giving students a foundation for a lifetime of learning.  Most parents expect schools to provide students with the basic tools needed to study any subject and then be able to make a decision based on sound logic and reasoning not brainwashing.

Time to rise and shine the light of GOD’s truth and stand in the BLAZE, Patriots! We are running out of time here.

Does anyone of you who posts here regularly have a way for us to stay in touch if this all goes to h*** in a hand basket? Let me know.

Here’s what some long-time friends and I have agreed to do in order to remember and to know that we are holding each other in our prayers if the Inet is taken away from us:
    1. On that day, we will begin reading the Bible with Genesis 1, Psalm 1 and Matthew 1 and read a chapter a day in each section until we finish that section of the Bible or until the Internet is restored. If the Inet access is not restored by then, we simply continue our reading in the O.T, whichever Psalm and whichever book in the N.T.
    2. We will use a precious book called GOD CALLING written in the 1930′s in England by “The Two Listeners” and edited by A.J. Russell and read it daily remembering our friends who are doing this with us.
    3. And, any other devotional material or CHRISTIAN author who will center our thoughts and keep our focus on JESUS CHRIST WHO is in control and WHO loves us each enough that had we been the only person born on this earth, HE would have come and died for us so that we could live with HIM in eternity.

GOD BLESS my dear friends on THE BLAZE. I am grateful for you. And, I am thankful for the trolls who keeps us woven in the fabric of GOD’s great love for HIS kids.

Should we expect less from a CAPA school? My girlfriends daughter went to a “Performing Arts” high school and was indoctrinated on a daily basis. Before she could however, we learned from a good source that cutting off the money and getting out of GOD’s way would allow HIM to get her attention and she could then grow up. It worked. Lots of blood, sweat and tears and prayers on our part, but it worked….eventually. It wasn’t easy on any of us at all. I wish you and your wife courage and strength to allow your daughter grow up. It’s important to realize that the way leftists remain leftists across lifetimes that would otherwise include enough learning to show them the error of their ways is by unit cohesion. What do Marine instructors teach? Well, besides core principles of Courage, Honor, and Commitment? Unit cohesion.

Now, Marines interact with the physical world. Their decisions, and the ideas upon which they base their decisions, have outcomes that are measured carefully.

This is not true of Leftists. It is a world insulated from outcomes, in which one can continually “accomplish” the OPPOSITE of the stated aim, but in which as long as EVERYBODY AGREES that it was for the best, it’s all good. Truth is being in lockstep with everyone around you .

That is what this festival is about, in expressing and encouraging conformist behavior. Since many leftists conceal their inner grayness with outrageous clothing and behavior, they can often convince themselves they are individualists. But get them one on one, and question them about why they believe what they do, and in my experience they will first act haughty, then angry and abusive, and finally stop talking.

Nowhere will there ever be a debate in which the ideological Other is granted the status as even potentially equal as a human being or thinker.

This is why the arts are so powerful: they demand obedience without demanding critical engagement.

Indeed, the ideals and honor of the Alamo are at hand; and it is time to take the stand. These ideas of the progressives have to end, and end now. In the apartment complex I live in, three progressives have passed a petition around calling for the public computer lab to become usable by only a handful of the residents with ‘special keys’ so it can be better monitored and secured during the day and the night…and guess who would hold the keys?

They would, just these three and the one manager; needless to say, today at the main meeting of the residents on the matter, the progressives got defeated by about a 150-3 margin…and they still had the audacity to say I (snowleopard) had manipulated everyone into voting against them, when their own actions and foolish demands made everyone else turn against them.

Based on what these three constantly present to the world of the progressive ‘elites’ we do not need one of them at all.

Start recruiting retired teachers to provide training and education online then later when the ways and means become available provide low cost private schooling. I think there is an opportunity here if we can put it together. Let’s start! Am I a fool for suggesting this?

As the lead for this thread says, this liberal group has every right to hold and encourage people to participate in the contest. Good so far!

Then the Blaze says, “According to our sources, Principal Melissa Pearlman of Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 was handing out the flyer seen below to all faculty members.“ ”Our sources”? What unnamed sources would those be? They saw the Principal handing out the fliers “to all faculty members?” Was this unnamed source standing next to the Principal all day? Or do teachers at this form a line when they walk into work with the Principal standing there handing out fliers?

This kind of claim wouldn’t fly with any judge anywhere in the United States: an “anonymous” person who says they say the Principal “hand out” this flier to “all faculty members.” That statement is obviously, at best, an exageration, at worst a complete lie.

And from that shaky foundation the Blaze goes on to question “the use of public school staff, facilities, and student’s time to promote a purely political cause…”

I believe there is a contest organized by students. The rest is of this thread is illogical propoganda on the very face. But, this kind of thing helps make money and this is America! Go for it patriots!

@C. SCHWEHR????? How did I swerve from the topic? I did not introduce the Alamo. The lead post of the comment chain did. I was questioning what a rebellion based on the maintenance of slavery in a Mexican state had to do with this film festival. My comments were based on the content of the poster. Did you read the poster? I was wondering what people specifically object to about the suggested content of the film entries. I was suggesting that people were jumping to conclusions based on anti-progressive propaganda and that they were judging this principal on the basis of its demonization at the hands of Glen Beck and not what it was actually promoting. Then I was ridiculing the idea that putting something on a bulletin board meant that it was propaganda by accusing the adjacent Woody valentine card of promoting social justice, or as GB would say, communism under an innocuous name.

A quick google search did not reveal a conservative film festival in the same area that was ignored in favor of this progressive one, so how can you accuse a principal of indoctrination for promoting an opportunity to make art at an art school?

Thanks for the TROLL tag. I thought people who prided themselves on critical thinking and investigation, like the people of this blog, would appreciate a dissenting voice to help them hone their own arguments. Socrates was a troll, or in the parlance of his time a “stinging gadfly.” He tried to get people to questions their assumptions to understand what they truly believe and that is all I am trying to do. How does an echo chamber of constant agreement further any political discussion?
