Hamas Hangs Two Alleged Israeli Spies

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Gaza’s Hamas government says it has executed two Palestinians convicted of spying for Israel.

Interior Ministry spokesman Ihab Ghussein says the men, aged 60 years and 29 years, were hanged at dawn Tuesday.

He would not provide further details.

Angry family members of one of the executed men burnt tires and blocked a road in protest after the hanging.

The Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights says Hamas has executed five people for spying since seizing control of the coastal area in 2007.

Another seventeen alleged informers were killed in vigilante-style shootings by Palestinians during the three-week Israeli offensive in Gaza that ended in January 2009. Some were on death row or awaiting trial by Hamas.

    Israel needs to take back the Gaza Strip. She has the army & the ammo to do it. If they won’t move out, just shoot’em down. That‘s what Hamas would do to the Israeli’s if they could, but they don’t have a big enough army to try it.

    They asked for volunteers. They just wanted to put Israel in a bad press story. Told the two victims the are going to meet their virgins. Bet they jumped up and put their own heads in the noose. DIP WADS Muslims.

    In Hamas speak, what defines “convicted”? Did they have a trial? Or were these men “volunteers” for the latest palestinian propoganda machine? Or did some high-ranking terrorist just point their finger and say…these guys are spies – hang them now?

    Norway should give up territory to create the new county of Palistinistan. Wouldn’t be long till the fence and barbed wire and mine fields would be placed around Palistinistan. When Barry gets the boot in 2012 he can join Jimma, and Rosie Palm in the camp with these Terrorists. Birds of a feather.

    There will be no justice or peace in Palestine* while it is ruled by Hamas or Fatah.

    I repeat my assertion that Israel should annex it, kick out Hamas AND Fatah, and any other Muslim radical that won’t accept Israel, make all inhabitants Israeli citizens and restructure the government with a Jewsih monarchy or High Council to preserve the Jewishness of the state against the new Muslim demographic realities.

      Terrorists would pour in to the country by the legions, just like they did in Iraq. And the Palestinians would be obliged to show these new “guests” the hospitality of brothers.

      They would be happy to at first, but inevitably the horror show that Iraqi families experienced at the hands of their “brothers” they were hosting (such as having your wife and daughters raped in front of the rest of the family, or your young son disemboweled in the living room to “insure” that the family was not cooperating or tempted to cooperate with American soldiers) would inevitably come to haunt the Palestinians too.

      The Monarchy question is almost as hard as the present conflict. How are you going to find a son of David who is qualified to resurrect the Monarchy of Israel?

      Isreal would secure its borders to prevent terrorists coming in. And the movement of known radicals within can be strictly limited.

      As for the monarchy: I wasn’t thinking of resurrecting the line of David. That lineage belongs to Jesus. Any line will do. Create a new one. We’re talking about a government created by men, not by God.

    What is there to spy on?

    Hamas just wants peace and to sing ***-by-yah, with all of its neighbors.

    Oh wait a minute here…. maybe they don’t want Israel to discover the secret of their mega successful economy and education system…. the twin dynamos driving a bright and happy future for the Palestinians. ….. Hmmm, no that doesn’t seem right.

    Could it be that Hamas is up to some things in cahoots (snicker snicker) with Iran, and that they maybe don’t want Israel getting confirmation of it along with actionable intelligence? …. Yeah, that seems to be more like it. To me anyway, but I’m all ate up with common sense, so I’m already out of line with the Universe of Politically Correct thought and Jurisprudence.

      Of course the wonderful UN Human Rights Council, and all the peaceniks in Europe are just going wild celebrating that they certainly got a FAIR TRIAL in the first place under Hamas. Oh wait, I forgot. In Gaza human rights don’t exist since the little satan pulled out and Hamas won their election. Forgive me. And everyone is far too busy condemning Israel for surviving and protecting itself to worry about 2 poor souls in Gaza.
