Ed Schultz Calls Tea Party Sewer Rats

Just days before Christmas and coming off what he described as a political defeat for the Tea Party, which he despises, you would think that MSNBC host and liberal radio personality Ed Schultz may have had a little more holiday cheer than the usual heavy flow of heated rhetoric spewing from his mouth. But Schultz just couldn’t resist letting loose on House Republicans during his radio show Thursday shortly before a deal was announced on the payroll-tax-cut extension. Take a listen to the MSNBC Host’s latest rant, where he likens Tea Party Republicans to “sewer rats:”

“What these tea partiers are going to do right now, and I’m going to label them tonight as sewer rats. They have a sewer rat mentality. You know what sewer rats do? They go down in the hole and they don’t come out. And they all hang out together. And they’re comfortable in their environment. And that’s what these Tea Partiers are doing right now behind closed doors. They’re just sewer rats.”

 Tim Graham of NewsBusters reports on how Schultz followed-up the flustered radio performance :

“Schultz wrapped up his TV show with ‘news’ from his viewers: ‘Ed Show survey tonight, I asked is John Boehner the most ineffective Speaker in recent memory? Ninety eight percent of you said yes; two percent of you said no.”

Gee, how many liberals are in that sample?”

Considering The Ed Show is continually crushed in ratings by programming on another cable news network in the same time slot, perhaps Schultz not the Tea Party is the one who will soon be hiding like a sewer rat.

    Ed’s unwarranted name calling and pretty obvious unhappiness may be related to an incident that occurred at his television cable news network headquarters on August 26, 2010, according to several news sources. Evidently, the gentleman, and I use that term (gentleman) lightly, is still trying to prove his value to his bosses and viewers/listeners. In my opinion, it’s not working. (I’m neither a Tea Party member or a member of the Republican Party.)

      Did anyone see Glenn Beck’s GBTV episode where he did a side by side comparison between the Tea Party and Occupy Wallstreet??? lol. The Tea Party had more people and left the place better than they found it, on every occasion. No damage or city clean up required. Then lets look at Occupy Wallstreet, a tribute the the liberals, socialists and progressives. Millions in City money to keep cops handy in case they FIRE BOMB things again. Clean up from around the “movement” and damage to small business and lost revenue. Not to mention they produce a stench which can be smelled for blocks, literally, they also rape each other on a regular basis and keep it quiet, as well as create new and spread existing diseases!!!! Spreading and Creating disease?!?!?! lol hey Schultz, who are the sewer rats?! you moron.

      I do have to agree with this nut job on one point. We do have an extremely ineffective speaker. Thanks for rolling over like a dead dog when we needed you most Mr Boehner. That is an interesting negotiating tactic. Give in to everything and hold out for nothing. That sounds eerily like defeat to me…but then again I guess thats why you are in washington and I am just arm chair quarter backing here

      Name calling is only used when people have no power or control over you. If they did they would be able to stop you. The tea party republicans are for smaller government, more freedom, and actually helping the poor and middle class, while the liberals want to destroy the middle class and use the poor to become insanely rich, yet to the warped mind, the republicans are rats, go figure.

      -Quotas for non-whites and Asians in scholarships, job opportunities and promotions is not discrimination.
      -Illegal aliens are legal aliens.
      -Israel is bad. Hamas and Hezbullah are good.
      -Demanding a photo ID for a passports or any number of retail transactions is okay . Demanding a photo ID for voters who elect officials who control our taxes, foreign policy — almost every aspect of our lives, is racism.
      -Identifying capitalists as the enemy of poor people, personified by the OWS thugs, is justified. Identifying which group of people commit 90% of terrorism as Muslim terrorists is discrimination.
