Harry Reid: ‘Extreme’ Tea Party Will be ‘Short-Lived’

In an interview with self-proclaimed socialist and MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell last night, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) made some bold predictions about the Tea Party, mainly that it won’t survive:

Reid, you may remember, won re-election in November against Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle. Angle announced yesterday she is running for office again, this time for the House of Representatives.

    He must be speaking of the hard working Americans that care about their country and worry about their reckless spending. Those who care about our leadership, leading us into an abyss of debt without checks and balances threatening our security by eliminating a way to cover the cost of basic items like paying for our military. His arrogance offends me and he brings great discredit to himself and our governement.

    It really puts into perspective just how ignorant a large portion of America is when complete imbeciles like Reid, Weiner, Frank, Frankin, and many other mindless hacks, keep getting elected.     I wonder what would happen if all the Tea Partiers stopped going to Nevada? Why should the evil Tea Partiers support the likes of Harry Reid. One of their outstanding (yuck) celebrities exclaimed after Harry won that he voted for him because he had brought so much to Nevada. TAKE IT AWAY then see how much they love Reid.

      Yeah, I was very surprised that Wayne Newton supported Reid. He’s normally pretty conservative, BUT he has had multiple financial problems, and has been in bankruptcy several times. I got the feeling that Reid had something on Newton and it was “payback time”.

      yes – i‘ve often thought that when obama said we’d have the most transparent white house he meant exactly that. Lie to people’s faces and do their dirty deeds right out in the open… just because it may prove their theory – that we’re all homer simpson and too stupid to see it while they wiggle it in our faces! Harry here is trying to provoke the anger and hatred that he knows the TP has for him and many others in government.       Yes, Hairy Reed won by vile politics. Hey, he‘s been a politician’s “politician” for a long time. He knows that most people won’t vote, and that those that do have short term memory loss by the time the next election rolls around. That’s why the Dems do all their nasty stuff in the first year after the elections. They rely on the fact that time heals all wounds. It’s hard to stay fired up for 4 years, or even 2 years. Let’s hope that other governors continue to turn the status quo upside-down with the socialists and progressives, that they continue to press the Obama administration on ObamaDoesn’t Care and keep suing the administration on immigration. We will fail as Hairy predicts if we start to get complacent.

      Senator Reid believes that the Tea Party movement is unsustainable and will disappear with an improving economy. Perhaps that is just wishful thinking on his part. Even if Mr. Reid is correct, there is little chance of the economy improving with the tyrant’s new and proposed programs.

      The Tea Party has already survived the tyrant’s best effort to demonize it and the survival has strengthened the movement. Even the tyrant’s time honored tradition of destroying their opponents by branding the enemy as “racist” and attacking them with the full force of the preponderance of propaganda has only strengthen the Tea Party movement and destroyed much of the tyrants credibility.

      The fact is that it is that either the “Tea Party Movement” or Mr. Reid will go the way of the Dodo bird. If the American Revolution is to survive, it will be Mr. Reid who disappears.

      THE TYRANT & THE TEA PARTY
      When President Obama took office the “change you can believe in” was finally exposed to be just another name for tyranny. Spontaneous demonstrations of concerned patriots sprung up to protest the assault on our freedom. The tyrants were not very concerned; surely a huge majority would understand the advantages of security and unearned income over the freedom and the prosperity of Capitalism. Certainly, large crowds would shout down these reactionaries. All that was needed was a little encouragement. However, the movement was a distraction to the masses and the truth is always dangerous to the tyrant’s agenda. Immediate action was necessary.

      The patriots had to be discredited before they could gain momentum. For years, the wannabe tyrants had incredible success discrediting the opposition by labeling it “RACIST”; this bunch of loosely organized malcontents, the “Tea Parties”, would be no different. After all, the new President was black. It would be easy to convince the populous that the opposition to his programs could only be base upon racism. Mr. Obama’s particular brand of tyranny was the culmination of over 100 years of slow methodical advances in benevolent coercion (tyranny). After all, the Progressive’s agenda had enjoyed over 100 years of popularity. There could be no rational reason to oppose the Progressive’s program now except that the advocate was black.

      Having almost total control of the “main stream media”, the wannabe tyrants expected a quick resolution to the threat. They unleashed the preponderance of propaganda demonizing all opposition to the tyrant’s benevolent program and declaring the malcontents to be racist. The premise was that these benevolent programs were clearly in the public interest so that only an irrational personal defect such as racism could be the cause of opposition. The tyrants flooded the media with claims from politicians, celebrities and progressive organizations such as the NAACP that the tea parties were racist and evil by nature. Of course, the claims were bogus. Ayn Rand’s book “ATLAS SHRUGGED”, published in 1957, took issue with all of Mr. Obama’s agenda, long before Mr. Obama even had an agenda. With such a flood of propaganda, the destruction of the Tea Party movement was imminent.

      The midterm congressional elections were approaching rapidly and the tyrants redoubled efforts to demonize the Tea Party. Even the Rinos, (Republicans in name only) reinforced the tyrant’s message. The Tea Parties had to be totally discredited before the election. The tyrants flooded the mainstream media with misinformation, how could anyone associated with the tea parties hold their head up in public after being branded as evil racist. But a strange thing happened; the Tea Party participation increased, as did the demonstrations supporting candidates that oppose Mr. Obama’s agenda. But the tyrants were not worried. They were confident that the people would people respond to the overwhelming publicity of the preponderance of propaganda? The tyrants were sure that the November 2010 elections would crush the Tea Parties, forever.

      The November 2010 elections were a disaster for the wannabe tyrants and a victory for the Tea Party. The tyrants lost control of the House of Representatives, lost many Governorships and almost lost control of the Senate. It was an impossible victory for the Tea Party and freedom. Worst yet, the victory increased the Tea Party’s momentum.

      Of course the tyrants did not admit defeat. Instead, they blame the poor results on the failure of the voters to understand their agenda. They vowed to correct the misunderstandings and explain the virtues of their agenda to the masses. The tyrants, undeterred from their objectives, continued to enact legislation to advance their agenda during the lame duck session that followed the election. Yet, privately the tyrants were in a panic, seeing that power slip away and the momentum of the Tea Party growing.

      With almost total control of the mainstream media, the preponderance of propaganda was unable to demonize and destroy the Tea Parties. They must have been very surprised at how little truth it takes to counteract the false premises and lies.

      In accordance with their tactics the wannabe tyrants have increase the repetition and quantity of misinformation. Their top priority is now to limit or eliminate sources of the truth. Distortion and lies will be used to convert any event into an issue that supports silencing the opposition. The propaganda disseminated about the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Giffords is typical of their efforts. They must silence dissent if the wannabe tyrant’s agenda is to be successfully implemented.

      The wannabe tyrants will stop at nothing to silence the truth! Both Hitler’s and Mussolini’s first priority upon obtaining power was control of the media. So far, President Obama has been unable to totally control the media. Having seen how little truth is required to discredit misinformation, silencing the opposition is now the wannabe tyrant’s primary objective! Claiming that the violence from a left-leaning lunatic, with no ties to the Tea Party, is caused by the Tea Party’s rhetoric demonstrates their desperation.

      If the wannabe tyrants are successful in using the government’s monopoly on force to silence the political opposition, the American Revolution is lost!

      Flooding the mainstream media with propaganda trying to convert an event into an issue has a second advantage to the wannabe tyrants. Attention is diverted from the repeal of Obama care.

      THE SOLUTION? THROW THE RASCALS OUT!

      Harry is convinced that since things seemed to have quieted down a bit from election season, the tea party is weakening. I have news for you Harry – unlike liberal protesters, Tea Party folks have jobs and responsibilities. Tea partiers are well aware there is a three party system in place right now – Dems, Conservatives, and RINOs. We are paying attention to the actions of our politicians, and have our sights on ousting more RINO’s in 2012.

      The more he keeps using the premise that the Tea Party is extreme the more animated they will get. It just doesn’t wash with what we are seeing examples of EXTREME movements out there.       After Obama is gone, there still remains the problem that has been there all along: the media.
      If it weren’t for the internet, the Tea Party may not have gotten off the ground. We need to invade the schools of journalism and throw out the socialist professors who are teaching our children not to search for the truth and report it, but to do what your post was almost all about. If it weren’t for the media fawning and promoting Obama, he may have not gotten elected. Our fight to re-align the media is as important as electing people with strong moral and constitutional fortitude.
      We need more Fox news, Andrew Breitbart, O’Keefes, and people exposing the left for who they are.

      Got to love the softball topics MSNBC hosts ‘discuss’ with Dems. I’m curious to know what the snarky little rodent from NV is doing about the 350,000 homes–many brand new–sitting empty in his home state. Those empty the longest are now uninhabitable without major repairs. What‘s Harry’s solution to that–label the TEAs a terrorist organization?

      I try not to disparage people if I can help it, but your description of Reid is spot on, and the only thing that ever comes to my mind when I hear him speak. And it’s doubtful he won the election, however, he did seem have enough fixes in to assure a “victory”.

      To him, Constitutionalism is extremism. And somehow we’re supposed to nod our heads at his sage wisdom? What?

      i do hear hate speech used daily on all media towards teaparty. this morning i heard seminar caller after seminar collar use every vile word to describe tea party in conversations where tea party wasn’t being talked about on the democrat, republican and independent lines. it is a concerted campaign to smear the tea party.The rallys have slowed but the members are as ardent as ever, the tea party is growing.

But the reality will be when we thow the “Missing Man” President Obama out along with a majority of the Democratic Senate seats up for reelection while retaing all the Republican seats. We are not done and if the current Republican leadership doesn’t get the hint, we will replace them as well. Somepne has to step to save our country. Save us from the huge debt the teh Democrats, in control for all bjut a few years, is responsible for. A balanced budget ammendment is in order that will shake the congress at its very core. Spending for spending sake is over.

      Harry Reid is on auto-pilot, just moving along his own little agenda with absolutely no concern for what the citizens of the US need or want. It doesn’t matter. They aren’t important. Harry Reid knows what’s best! He will learn the truth of the Tea Party movement in Nov, 2012 when he will lose his senate majority leader position as the GOP takes the majority. I think that he will piss off enough people before his present term ends that he will be defeated in a primary. His union backers will desert him and defeat will come as a total shock. It truly couldn’t happen to a more deserving person!

He sees the handwriting on the wall for progressives in 2012 and is having trouble accepting that a disaster is headed their way.       And don’t blame Nevada people. The SEIU are in charge of voter machine “maintenance” in Nevada, and wouldn’t you know? During early voting, of which we had beyond historic participation (I think more voted early than on election day), those voting machines had Harry Reid’s name checked automatically, for our convenience I’m sure… There were many complaints, and with nary a single investigation by our Democrat Attorney General… Another news flash. You are not required to show ID when you register to vote, nor are you required to show your ID when you vote. Don‘t want to hurt those illegal’s feelings you know and make them feel like they don’t belong here…

      You might find it interesting that in Nevada, a group of illegal’s from a specific area in Mexico petitioned the Governor for their own license plate displaying their pride of the place from which they came. No, I’m not making this up, look it up for yourselves. We are butt deep in liberals who didn’t have the goods to make it in Hollywood, unions, and we are a college town. We’re lucky we got Dina Titus out of office.

      Extreme? Our Tea Party movement just continues to grow; and the more pathetic little men like Harry Reid try to belittle our movement, the bigger our movement becomes… We’re not so much “extreme” as an ever-growing mainstream, and this is what enrages our Global Progressives.

      Not too long ago, La Raza called us “extreme” when we managed to beat down the mass amnesty bill of 2007… This tax-funded special interest group claimed that “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” was killed on a “wave of hate.”

      I would suggest that all of these special interest groups – La Raza, Maldef, the ACLU, the SPLC, CAIR, Unions and other “Progressive” groups – are extreme AND getting very nervous!

      established as result of a specific problem-and it seems reasonable -unless the Tea Party is like most
      government departments and programs it ought disappear once that specific problem has been resolved. Patriotism ought ever be part of the fabric of the American citizen- and the TeaParty was born by Patriots thus is shall remain as part of the fabric of the American citizen.
